The pressures required to destroy an aluminum USGI mag and a pmag are the same. The aluminum magazine will bend ever so slightly and cause near constant double feeds but you wont be able to tell the magazine is borked from a visual inspection. When the pmag breaks they crack, immediately identifying themselves as broken.
