The main stock is chipped a tad bit on only a small part of it. I mainly want to replace the Front handguard and remove the rust.

Removing rust is the same on everything, pour CLP/Oil on, scrub once with copper brush. Don't keep going. Reapply every time to prevent the rust specks from repitting the area you're working on. I take a cloth and wipe away everything and just keep reapplying. Takes longer but worth for better end result. Less marred finish, better long time care.
