why the fuck can the border force ban legal guns edition
Because you idiots didn't fight for your rights in 1996
i wasnt alive in 1996
>Hey guys give up your guns k
>Yeah sure kunt watever
>Aight you all handed in your guns? Promise?
>Yeah nigga totally lol, we handed them all in
Gramps died a year ago, my uncle was going through his stuff cleaning up, found a cupboard full of kmart pump-actions. Was proper funny like, but he handed them all in. On ya Gramps, RIP
Kept all the Bolt actions tho.
>but it worked in austraaaaliaaaaaa
Why do they parrot this shit it's not even true
faggot. thats not even relevant fuck off with your gay politics
Australians do not or ever had gun rights.
This is the mentality that cost you faggots your guns lol
Because nanny state and wanna be cops arent regulated.
Because most people are tarded and don't know that. I mean when's the last time you heard of a mass shooting happening in australia? checkmate, gun nuts.
It's the same reason they don't get called on their other lies. The media is complicit.
>I mean when's the last time you heard of a mass shooting happening in australia?
Aside from all of the planned Islamic terrorist attacks over the last few years (including the planned beheading of a kidnapped member of the public, and a plot to bomb an airliner with 400 people on it that was only foiled because Muhammad packed his bag slightly too heavy and it was rejected by the airline) plus Man Monis And The Magical Shotgun opposite Channel 7? Can't think of any.
>but he handed them all in.
Did you tell your uncle he's an anti freedom cuck?
can you give a brief explanation of your gun laws to a Jow Forumsanuck?
I don't understand how they work after looking at wiki
>when's the last time you heard of a mass shooting happening in australia?
There were none in America in the 50's and 60's, fuck all in the 70's and 80's, and Australia's culture is essentially 1960's smalltown USA.
Plus, our media actually does what the gov't tells them regarding "Don't fucking fixate on shootings for months on end". Our news, even on the shitter channels, and even those that just spew shit, still stick to a certain format, you have 30 minutes to one hour, five minutes per story, and don't talk about anything you've talked about unless something significant has happened.
The only things that ever get round-the-clock coverage are elections on election-night and natural disasters for a couple days.
Unlike fucking murrica where they post shooter's manifestos, faces, names, and give them fame, our media works fucking hand in hand with a certain team at ASIO/ASIC who's entire job is to make sure the media doesn't do dumb shit to make people wanna be shooters/terrorists.
I have something of a connection with someone who's friend of a friend worked at such a place, and the Lindt Cafe siege, while a fuckup physically, was a media masterpiece. Everyone was up all night chatting with the heads of every TV channel live to make sure none of them did anything on the no-no list.
>Everyone was up all night chatting with the heads of every TV channel live to make sure none of them did anything on the no-no list.
If your friend of a friend had anything to do with the fuck up relating to the ABC, he deserves to be fucking shot.
Everyone in my family hates him, this didn't change much
Told my grandma if he handed them into a gunshop instead they'd be obligated to pay him for them, AND it's still totally legal. She was so fucking furious after that, which is enough for me.
On the No-No list is semi-auto rifles and pump action shotguns, pistols are frowned upon, and fully-auto anything is basically never seen.
Bolt action rifles are A-OK if you're a farmer and have a permit, the rest is fucky.
Pistols and rifles basically anyone can get for "Sport", but you have to attend and compete in a number of events per year per gun. Pistols need a minimum barrel length, and for more popular guns like the Glock 17 the manufacturer will make special Australian editions, like the Glock 17A, with the proper barrel length.
Farmers can also get semi-auto rifles, any shotguns including pump action, and, in rare cases, fully auto anything.
Security guards can get smaller pistols and CC them, but that's about it.
"Defense" is never a reason to own a gun in Australia, and pepper spray/tasers are not permitted either. You are never allowed to have anything for the purpose of defence, only use things that happen to be around you.
>fuck up relating to the ABC
You're going to need to be more specific, my friend's dealt with hundreds of fuck ups relating to the ABC (And maybe caused a couple)
This is all fucking wrong.
Feed free to correct me, I know fuck all
The explicit denial of Man Monis or the hostages having literally anything to do with the ABC or Tony Abbott during the entire fucking siege. I doubt your friend works for the big boys at ASIO, but fuck me he had something to do with it.
So farmers are a very privileged class then compared to the average citizen?
Sounds pretty shitty though, in Canada we just need to take a 1 day course for rifles and shotguns and another 1 day course for handguns. I find it very strange that the pump actions would be restricted for you guys though. In Canada, the pump action is so ubiquitous that I don't think anyone could touch it. There's a lot of duck hunters here. Same stuff about defence though.
farmers here are like what veterans are to americans
Literally why the fuck are pump shotties banned?
What possible rationale is there?
During a "Mass crisis event" all news organizations and TV channels have a set list of protocols to follow as a starting point, so that what they're broadcasting is "sanitised", and won't cause a cascade of events, even if they're not under direct instruction as to what is and isn't safe to say. Most of what the media team does isn't hold back information, it's saying what is allowed to be shown. An example of this is the Aussie media now openly calling events "Islamic terrorist attacks" rather than the old "Sick, lone wolf" or "Sure he pledged his allegiance to ISIS, but that doesn't mean he's actually an ISIS member, he's just a LARPer". This is because Aussies see through this and get pissed, so they allow it to be said. Same goes for APEX, a year ago the media refused to say there was any tie to africans, now they just call them Somali or Sudanese immigrant gangs. Using the word "Immigrant" is important, it makes people think the media's happy to call out the issues of immigration.
So when people were flat out denying things, this wasn't under any direct instruction, it's just protocol till they can get the list of what's most beneficial to say. One such thing is to not report anything that remotely looks like a conspiracy theory, and actively deny them if ever brought up.
The media team was so swamped dealing with everything else going on, they didn't prioritise analyzing risks of talking about Man' Monis' links to all those things, so everyone assumed it was still on the blacklist.
Protocols have since been changed, now the media, by default, is allowed to report some links, but never discuss them or go into detail, just mention them then move on to the more "important" parts of the event.
Pump actions are the big scary evil in Australia because too many people have watched Terminator. They're basically our fully-semi automatic baby killers.
As for farmers, yeah, they're number one here. No-one fucks with them, and everyone understands that we have so many fucking pests here that farmers need anything and everything to wholesale slaughter any animals, lest we run out of grain to eat.
Foxes and cats are such a fucking nuisance that farmers can just walk up and apply for anything they want
"Fucking cats took out all my chickens"
"Fox fucked up like 20 sheep"
>Alright sir, sign here and write below what gun you want, we'll have the fucking prime minister deliver it to you
"A-10 Thunderbolt plz"
>Sir, how many foxes do you think are on your prope-
"THEY FUCKED UP LIKE 20 SHEEP, WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!"
>I-I'M SORRY SIR, THUNDERBOLT'S ON ITS WAY
Although not completely relevant, don't forget that airsoft is also basically illegal.
Eg. I can own a Beretta 92fs on my pistol licence, but I can not own the same airsoft pistol
don't forget that certain nerf guns are also illegal
>As for farmers, yeah, they're number one here. No-one fucks with them, and everyone understands that we have so many fucking pests here that farmers need anything and everything to wholesale slaughter any animals, lest we run out of grain to eat.
That will run its course in another generation. Your government will demand that gun owning farmer will be garroted, and it will import rice from China to make up the deficit.
The liberal-socialist ratchet only goes one way, user.
Yep, a country where we can own guns to defend animals but not ourselves
Farm animals have more rights here than people
Auscuck here, 100% agreed
Your uncle is a fucken idiot, glass him
didn't matter, they still had the guns
Its not man monis

how dumb are you?
You can use them at club-approved shoots. Apparently one of them in Vic does them monthly.
Chance of Warwick or some one doing a deal with Troy to get rights to reproduce their Pump Action Rifle locally?
Anyone going?
You can't hunt with them legally, and getting a Collectors is excludes you from getting other licenses (afaik).
Nigga, Wedgetail Industries has you covered
It doesn't exclude you at all my dude. Look into it.
fuckkkk yesssss
You need to do a one day course and police check to apply for a license, then wait at least 6 weeks for it to process.
You can basically own repeating action guns, except pump action shotguns (no idea why they decided on that tbqh). Sometimes straight pull AR15's get banned for import, but Aus made can't be banned for import ofc.
Some states have military appearance ban laws.
Handguns are legal if you join a club and do some annoying participation requirements and shit.
Semi auto rimfire, shotguns, and pump action shotguns are available for farmers and large rural property owners.
The above, and semi auto centrefire are available for professional feral pest killers.
It's not as bad as it's made out to be. It could be a lot worse.
That's the tl;dr
This is going to cause another category change, and all so fat larpers can pretend they own an AR15.
because fudds and small bore shooters thought it was not their problem
but I'm fare sure that most of the guns taken in were "sporting purpose"
scurry salt guns are just the low hanging fruit
easy to for them to attack
then with that done they have precedent and infrastructure to move on to other types of arm .eg creeping tyranny
also once arms ownership gets restricted so does any kind of self defence
here lots of people bought and turned in SKS with 10 round mag
just to obfuscate handing in their guns purchased before classification came in
.eg before the 80s the gov might know roughly how many fire arms you have but not if they are semi auto or not
so for a long time it is still unknown how many semi auto fire arms are in curculation
It's worse than it seems DESU.
ruger precision rifle is legal in one state but banned in the next, it's ridiculous
user, those baby-killers better not be yours!
Just like the wfa1 did right?
Both were made in consultantaion with VicPol.
Expected date of release, price? I'm expecting 3k starting lol.
Yeah but it's not the end of the world. You just need to work around it. We could be like the UK, which is even worse.
UK has easy access to semi auto rimfire and shotguns + easy access to suppressors.
NZ is the gold standard of the commonwealth TBQH
Yeah probs around that mark.
Anyone know of a 9mm longarm bolt action?
The idea of it gets me wet, would love to have one. Would only need 1 reloader for rifle and pistol
Is it pump action?
Canada is bretty good desu
Reminder to check out Jow ForumsAusguns if you're a redditfag
mod seems to trawl the tabloids daily for every gun related article
I've got a factory chambered 9x19 Spanish Destroyer. Its fun. Aside from that, options are squat.
Yes
Better than here sure
Fuck that - a .45ACP rifle - now that I could get behind.
Would drop pigs like a beast and 0 kick.
i think ignition custom engineering make Non-suppressed DeLisle clones.
>I've got a factory chambered 9x19 Spanish Destroyer
how tf, my cursory googling seems to indicate they are all in 9x23
The only major thing I'd like to see happen to our laws is combining category A/B/C together, and calling it the "firearm" category/license. Then cat D/H could be its own thing as per now.
I don't think that's a particularly outrageous thing, and would probably streamline a lot of the extra work involved in different licenses/PTA's/AG permits (for cat C).
I also want to see the barrel length laws for cat H changed to 110mm for the purpose of market congruence, as well as the abolition of classes of handguns; there should just be a basic sporting handgun license with the required 6 competition shoots, then you can own any of the current classes (A/B/C/D) without having to do extra participation. Failing that, more approved events need to be added for class C handguns (i.e. IPSC classic for .45 1911's, or major power factor IPSC, or ICORE). I'd also like to see magazine capacities increased if IPSC is your "genuine need" for your handgun.
Also suppressors for normal licensees.
9mmlargo.com
1967 -44310- two trigger guard screws, pistol grip stock, marked "9mm Parabellum"
Side question, that place still seems to be producing mag extension kits for the adler. I'm guessing everything's fine till u put it on then it's cat D?
Can't see any unfortunately.
depends on if your state has actually passed it/law has come into effect.
you can own handguns (fairly) easily. semi autos can be owned on basic licenses (no justification needed). supressors are banned tho which is bad
So anyone here got a Collectors License?
you in qld?
Yea
Do you want to get a collector's license?
Also handguns for hunting IF you already own it on a sporting license/genuine need. I can't see how they'd implement cat H for hunting as a genuine need without everyone abandoning sports shooting as their genuine need.
I want to know what my options are. Does it have participation requirements, do I need to join a club etc.
Mandatory hunting participation ;) 5 pig scalps per year or u lose ur license kek
We are starting a collectors club in Qld for Firearm Owners United very soon.
It will be at no extra cost for members of FOU, so just $55 a year or $45 for ex mil, police, pensioners etc.
No participation requirements. But you legally can only use your collectors guns at approved collectors shoots, of which each club is approved for two each year.
Collectors License lets you get Cat ABCH as 'temp inoperable' which just means a trigger lock fitted. Cat D or R needs to be ruined to have it.
under my collectors I have a few semi auto Cat C rimfires and an 870.
Another bloke who will be in the club will have like 4 semi auto Cat C shotguns once his PTAs all clear.
Sounds based. Any other states planned?
God I wish that were mine
Damn man that sounds legit af.
FOU looking to add a permanent membership any time soon? My memberships are stacking up hah, would love a set and forget option like Shooter's Union has.
But regardless, how do I keep in the loop on stuff like this?
Gimmie gimmie ideas for collectors theme

Where would the club shoots be located? Seems difficult to have a state wide collectors club.
+1 for brisbane
But can I have cock locks on Colt M16 for """collectors""" yet also when are we going to become recognized as a club so I can leave SSAA and call them filthy dirty bootlicking fudds?
>discord
Nice try ASIO
>1920s/30s American gangster shit, Thompson, 1911, shotgun of choice bonus points for tailored 3 piece suit and le Fedora
I dunno, just collect whatever
Anything Cat D has to be rendered inoperable.
Aka it becomes worthless, seems stupid considering one of the reasons for a Collectors license is to collect investment firearms. Well it's not much of an investment if you destroy it.
Damn, there goes my hopes and dreams of owning a G3 or FAL that I can at least admire and not use for paper removal.
WTI has a page for suppressors on their website, I thought they were illegal in Australia?
Nah some people can have them. Mainly professional shooters. A friend has one on his AR15.
Protip- NSW is the easiest state to get Cat D in
>NSW is easier to get cat D in
>but not in WA or QLD
What whacky world is this shit?

What did he say?
Did the leader really call for hitler in schools lel

this phrase is literally verbal filler at this point
Do you think it'd ever be possible to develop some sort of crowd supply system wherein people can pay upfront on a new design of rifle they want produced
cause fuck i want a 9mm or 45acp rifle badly now
lithgow pls make
