Brownells has a X15 listed for $570. AP 16" mid barrel with AP lower. Would have to pick out my own handguard, buttstock, sights. And mags, of course. Is this a reasonable value vs other options in the price range right now? I've been sitting on about $200 cabelas gift card for a few months now, was considering putting that towards finishing it, seeing as I have nothing else in mind that I need or want from there right now.

Current "precision rig" has a 2.5lb GI trigger modified to within an inch of going full retard or just not working at any moment due to pre and over travel set screws tapped into the receiver, bobbed hammer, super polished surfaces, and reduced power springs... I bought a velocity trigger to replace it already but turns out the trigger shoe sucks ass and feels heavier that the 3.5lbs it is... >Works great man...

carburize with WD-40 or other oil. Progress from low to high heat with a torch and quench over several iterations, you can accomplish this under 10 minutes.
You'll be left with a nice matte black finish which is TiO_2

Chevy's quarter tons are beanerwagons, ford's was just a taurus with a different body, toyota's are pretty dope tho. Got the dakota because cheap, easy to work on, parts are everywhere, and when i eventually swap the engine it will be relatively easy.

What do you Jow Forumsommandos think of having a folding-sight/gas-block infront of a freefloat handguard? It's not as practical as just putting sights on handguard, but some reason I like this aesthetic. I was kind of thinking about doing this with a 16" barrel.
