I think so. It could easily be part of a compromise deal with a bumpstock ban and stuff, or they could just wait until things blow over. Concealed Carry does not have the same kind of stigma that assault weapons do, many liberals are okay with it and I think a lot of people who dont know about guns assume this is already the law (which is why it needs to pass). It passed the senate very easily and the house is pretty comfortably red right now, its really just a matter of timing.

>many liberals are okay with it and I think a lot of people who dont know about guns assume this is already the law
lol what? Have you fucking missed the last 2 months?

>many liberals are okay with it
not really
>muh wild west
>hurr everybody will have a gun
They are eternal retards.

Maybe as a rider on another bill

In a different timeline perhaps

Actually I got that backwards, it passed the House and is now at the senate (which is closer but there are a lot of democrat senators in red states that could be pressured by the NRA).

Not all liberals really care, Im talking about your average voter, not twitter activists. I think most of them actually believe in self defense and concealed carry and just are easily swayed about scary things like ARs since they dont know better.

Thats all about ARs and stuff, casual liberals tend to be okay with pistols.

Also back to OP's question: we would need 60 to overcome a filibuster but why would they filibuster something like this? That requires a lot of commitment and its a bill that essentially just legalizes something people already do.

>they could just wait until things blow over

I think these shootings happen too frequently for that to ever happen. Plus the March for our lives thing is still going on and they're out for blood.

>I think a lot of people who dont know about guns assume this is already the law

That doesn't mean they think it should be the law. Take the example of automatic rifles. People think they're easy to get and want them banned.

I think most people have heard enough about semi-autos that they realize machine guns arent legal. The best way for this to pass would be on top of a gun control measure, since the republicans basically dont have to do anything at all about gun control if they dont want to they can put just about any conditions they want on a gun control bill.

ask Mitch McConnell

I'm not from the US, but is this bill allow some state like Illinois or New York (or even some place like Los Angeles) to become easily concealed carryable ?

Because, by "in another state that allows individuals to carry concealed firearms", did they mean the state who allow civilian to carry or any state/county/town who are not in no issue are concerned ?

Not with with all these anti-gun politicians in office.

I've come to believe that gun owners are better off with Republicans on the defensive. In that position they have no choice but to be pro-gun if they want a chance to win. When they're in control, they change stances real quick.

Sort of. There are a number of states that will issue their license to non-residents. Anyone who knows that can simply mail in an application to a state like Arizona and their own no-carry state will be forced to accept it as valid under the bill.

I think you misread the whole thing. What it says is you can carry if 1. You have any kind of license from any state (really sketchy part that allows you to subvert your OWN states laws) or 2. You can carry in your home state (this is meant to cover states that dont require licenses)

That's an issue with the neo-con cabal that's been heading the Republicans since the 80s. Get them out of office and it would stop pretty quick.

Most states issue them, many do not accept them. Florida sends non-resident permits all over but does not honor any other states non-resident permits.

I think Democrats would get roasted over a fire for voting for a bill like this.

>I think most people have heard enough about semi-autos that they realize machine guns arent legal.

They really don't.

>The best way for this to pass would be on top of a gun control measure, since the republicans basically dont have to do anything at all about gun control if they dont want to they can put just about any conditions they want on a gun control bill.

But what would they have to sacrifice?

is how I understood the bill.

Alright, thanks for clarification.

Bumpstocks, tweaks to background checks, worst possible thing would be the 21 restriction. When I said they dont have to I meant they own congress but they still have strong pressure to do something for goodboy points, I think they should hurry up and get goodboy points for banning bumpstock before the ATF just does it themselves and no one gets goodboy points.

2 chances: slim & none

>(this is meant to cover states that dont require licenses)
I think every state that has constitutional carry will already issue a license if you request it, for purposes of reciprocity. Alaska does

Vermont doesnt and the bill is meant to legalize anyone who already carries

Vermont doesn't even have guns anymore lmfao

If true sounds fantastic for people whos state dosent give them out

The chances of anything getting done by Congress was already slim. It actually might pass though. There are a lot of people that are suddenly in favor of arming people with concealed weapons and all the bullshit right now is about screening lunatics and scary rifles. A CCL includes extensive vetting, some training, and is normally done by responsible civilians. Either party has a clear path to supporting it right now.

I think few democrats will support it but they wont go hard against it, it just doesnt upset their voterbase. Concealed carry restrictions have always been for higher interests, private citizens typically like being able to do what they want with their own property.

It could pass if Creme was winning

It'd pass if mini wins

Fuck you cunt, Team Creme will repeal the NFA
Bet that weird fuck that can't reload AK mags is on team Mini

Can I call McConnell and yell at him if I'm not from his state?

I wonder what team I'm a part of.

The only team

It will probably be some intern.

It's been one week since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side
and said I'm angry
Five days since you laughed at me saying
Get that together come back and see me
Three days since the living room,
I realized it's all my fault, but couldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
But it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry

TEAM PEANUT BUTTER IS AGAINST ALL SHILLS

Posting to figure out my team.
