Literally nothing wrong with this. Fuck off.
Other than the optics and duvet, I see nothing wrong with the picture. the c308 is alright and an AR15 is alright too.
Best budget gun I ever bought. Stock is a bit janky but when I get more money I can get a better one.
H&R Pardner Pump?
Those take 870 stocks dont they?
Dafuq is up with that optical mount? It looks like a set of cheap Amazon airsoft-tier mounts piggybacking on each other. It's way too far off the bore and I'd be surprised if it holds zero.
Otherwise it looks pretty sensible. Chinese 870 or Remlin?
Cant even afford a new foregrip
Used Remington 870 Magnum Express, got her for 300$ with two boxes of ammo.
they're utg riser mounts. the local store doesn't have a pepr mount, it's on the list of things to do. not pretty, they were available and fit what i was looking to do.
work in progress. also coming is a cheekweld riser.
Whatever user. She looks practical and you're decently armed against marauding Homo Sapiens Africanus.
Savage MKII .22 that was a gift
NEF Pardner .410 that I borrowed indefinitely
What do you guys think of ruger American vs savage axis vs Thompson center compass. I am a no guns fag looking to make a purchase.
All seem to be solid choices, personally leaning towards Thompson Center in .308
The chink clones are $200 new. 870 Express models are notorious for rust and ejector failures.
Keep an eye out for rust on yours.
I remember using those when I was a poorfag back in the day. They were patently useless and couldn't hold zero at all. Have you tried shooting it with that setup?
Luckily I haven't noticed any rust but sometimes her pump gets stubborn when I've been shooting her a while. Only with cheapo shells though. I take good care of her.
>tfw did my first budget build
>tfw Anderson lower with PSA PTAC upper and build kit
I really like it. I live in a cucked state so I had to start somewhere.
Can't beat a 12 ga pump.
Have a savage axis in 308. It is a great budget rifle.
yes, actually, and with wolf 147gr. Did surprisingly well, 4"MOA or so. Not particularly taking my time, maybe a round a second. Just enough to get back on center.
It looks terrible and is temporary, but for now does ok for me.
That's probably steel based shells sticking due to a roughly cut chamber. Old shotguns are notorious for that. Try polishing it.
That's not bad. It means it's not moving, which would cause flyers all over the place. A dab of blue locktite on threads and a single layer of electrical tape inside the rings can tighten things up a tad.
Personally I recommend a cantilever mount like a Nikon M223 (or M308? I used an M223 on a .308 Howa 1500 and it was fine). There's less parts and less shit to move out of alignment and screw everything up.
Also for the scope you can find used Leopold 3-9x glass cheap anywhere and almost none of them are fake. They're usually taken off old hunting rifles.
You can verify the serial number with Leupold and they will replace it for free no matter what happens to it.
duly noted. My dad has an old leupold 3x9 he used on a remington 700 pss that he'll sell to me. I planned on using it on a thompson center .308, but with the right mount in hand i might put it on the c308.
i'm modestly surprised nobody has bashed my delton with the sightmark
Just finished my new Anderson lower pistol build.
The first gun you ever buy should be a DA revolver, a pump shotgun or a 22lr rifle. Mostly for safety and responsibility reasons. (and because single action revolvers are not practical in this day and age)
Learn to clean it, you really shouldnt own a gun that you cant strip and clean
>s&w 642
>ruger 10/22
>mossberg 500
now with more pic at left
Thank you user. that's the one I like also.
i'm sure you've seen the reviews also, they're pretty stellar. 1"moa guarantee is pretty ballsy, but i've had a hard time finding anyone to shit on them other than the trigger is set heavy from the factory. seems like an obvious situation and easy enough to remedy with their set up. they've said they're going to offer 6.5 creedmore also, not sure if it's out yet.
picked a caliber? i really would like 7mm-08, but i'm not a reloader (yet) and that shit is pricey. hence my choice of .308
What kind of optic are you going to put on it?
If you're going for a long range rifle, spend at least as much on the optic as the gun.
>Also for the scope you can find used Leopold 3-9x glass cheap anywhere and almost none of them are fake.
IMO that's not enough magnification for a precision build. I get where you're coming from because they are cheap and high quality, but 3-9x40 is substandard for long distance. I'm running a 5-15 now and that's as small as I'd go, I wish I had about 18x at the top end.
maybe not for a precision build, but the ranges i'm looking to touch with the c308 a 3-9 is alright.
is there 5-15 glass that would fit a g3/cetme pattern rifle without interfering with the charging handle?
>is there 5-15 glass that would fit a g3/cetme pattern rifle without interfering with the charging handle?
I'm not an expert, but that's more about your mount than your scope, I would think. I'm running a Vortex PST 5-15x44 FFP. Not exactly budget but it can put a round on target out past a kilometer, which is my use case.
i'm sure there are threads on hkpro and such about it, though a lot of those guys really won't help a century owner (monkeys with hammers, etc)
you see the issue with overall scope length and not only the charging handle, but moving it back too far and screwing eye relief. on top of everything, i'm a lefty, so working that already stiff charging handle is ergonomically wonky. i can shoot right eyed if i have to, but it's not comfortable for longer shots.
ordinarily this would suggest i look into a different gun, but i really enjoy this thing, plus it's a bit of an homage to my dad, who used an hk91 way back when and stupidly sold it.
what sort of MOA do you get with that c308?
What upper should i get for my AR?
I am looking at a m4 Aero upper but its out of stock.
Does this count? It's my budget 3gun/2gun setup, not done by any means but it's roughly where I want it. Gun itself was a barebones Aero 16" middy that I put mostly discounted poorfag parts on. I realized how awful of a decision that was and have already swapped a lot of the parts and will continue doing so.
looks ok
I got an axis in 223, does 1.7-1.9 inch groups at 200yds, had to take a fuckload of weight off the trigger tho
with the scope setup you see here and wolf steel cased 147gr, about 4. i've taken more careful shots with corelok 168gr and shunk it to under 3. no bill springfield trigger work for sure, but a crusty m1a guy at work recommended i work my trigger with some synthetic grease and that smoothed it out a bit.
i have not taken it to the range with the new hanguard (OEM fucker gets hot) and the bipod. that happens wednesday. I have PPU M81, tula, and more wolf to put through it.
absolutely it counts. i appreciate the post
If I was broke and magically for some reason I didn't have guns and wanted to be armed, I would just grab the following.

You could sub out the AR for maybe a Savage boltgun depending on what you want a rifle for or maybe the snubby out for a S&W Shield in 9mm, but basically I feel like right now in a lot of ways is a great time when it comes to being a shooter and being able to arm yourself very well for pretty cheap.
at the time i bought the delton i got it for $407 and the C308 for $475. I agree with your finds at the moment, though.
When I bought the C308, i couldn't find any .308 semi auto for anything close to that. I could have gone AK, but those have never appealed to me. They were an option regardless. I heard the horror stories, bit the bullet anyway. Have been very happy to punch paper ever since.
Similar with the Delton. Knew I couldn't afford my dad's 80's vintage Colt HBAR with the 20" floated bull barrel, but the DT Sport was $400 at the time and i figured fuck it, why not?
now they're both ~$150 over what i paid, if they're even in stock at all. The C308 goes on GB for 575-600 and the DT Sport is ~600.
tl;dr, you're right, and i was right when i bought mine.
I feel you, I bought by PTR in 2014 and I felt like it was the best bang for the buck when it came to rifles in 308 then. Honestly though if you had put a G3 clone, FAL and M14 clone in a tub and blindfolded me before grabbing one, I'd have been happy with any of em. I do still need an AR though
i really like the parkerized finish and the wood furniture on that.
Thanks, I sort of wish I'd gotten the 18" barrel so I could get the bayonet lug adaptor on there and the mag release thing kind of bugs my autism sometimes, but I enjoy it a lot.
i was unaware they were not all 18" apart from the msg ss. though the cetme/c308 offers a flat blank lid for the cleaning kit tube, i'm not sure the cetme/c308 lug lid will fit the reduced diameter g3/ptr flat cap.
i'm not entirely sure without the google if the g3 was ever produced with a bayonet lug. only that sexy wide handguard and bipod.
My wife had to break my arm and my dick to order what I wanted for my birthday. It cost me a total of $700 total, but I'm very happy with the decision I made minus the collateral... Not saying yet because I want it to be a surprise for you anons when the shipments happen. Hint: look for post on arg in the near future.
Does that 308 steel cased feed well in your gun? That shit blows up in my fal. My fal feeds brass flawlessly.
no, this chews steel and brass flawlessly. recall it operates off a fluted chamber that floats the casing on the way out, a sticking shell shouldn't be an issue. with how hard this thing flings shells (20' to 2o'clock) we'll see how it treats steel in the long run.
why the fuck even have a rear sight...
There’s a guy on gunbroker who has loads of cheap CZ pocket pistols and occasionally some berettas, also some classic steel smith and Wesson’s app for less than $400, if I was an American I feel like I’d buy a new budget pistol from him after every pay check.
>Airsoft mounts on a .308
They're utg. Not great, but not airsoft.
You got a link?
Nigga, that gun is a 3moa gun, a 3-9 is fine
Scope on a trash ar15 is the mark of someone who doesn't know what they're doing. If gun ownership was highschool and picking teams in dodgeball was like forming a militia you'd be picked last every time. I have more respect for poorfags using irons.
Hello guccifag
>calling it a scope
I'm sorry meant BUDJET SKOPE. Am I saying it like you now?
>who doesnt know what theyre doing
Actually, i dont. I never did claim to. Im not some tier one devgru opertator like you must be. Actually this was my first optic ever, and it worked great! Good enough for me to blast clays at the end of my range which is most likely all i will ever use it for. As a matter of fact, i do believe we are even in a poorfag thread! Is it okay with you that i do that with a cheap PSA build? Is that ok with you? Of course i need some faggot on the internet to approve of my actions even though this user in particular didnt even post a reply with an image of their own rifle. God, you must be so much better than me. Will you fuck my wife and bear my children?
>purposefully buying poverty when you could save the money for something nice
For what purpose?
To get out there and start enjoying the hobby.
Your rear sight is covered because your mount is on backwards there my dude.
The scope is that terminus optics brand "acog" , and the soopmod stock was a $25 knockoff from somewhere. Quad rail was cheap aswell
That being said, all three pieces are surprisingly well made
No decent 22 to learn marksmanship or shotgun for hunting, no cap and ball revolver to learn about reloading or casting, no muzzleloader, no accuracy bolt action with scope to learn about distance shooting,. Learns to shoot on a semiauto CF. Looks more to do with counterstike than budget guns to get started
vidya. It fucked gunowners hard as a community who gave a fuck about what they were doing
My slowly growing collection:
God bless
user, there is a large high magnification optic on a non free floated, 5.56 automatic. It's wrong similar to having a precision built 338lapua that's topped off by a pistol red dot. Nothing to do with entry equipment, just makes using an ar15 the way it's meant to be used harder while still being bad at long range.
Don't get so worked up, you're on an anonymous image board, people act rude for attention.
Soyboy taste in music
>high magnification
Actually, its 3-9x, so not very high magnification at all really. Also its a semiautomatic. Have you ever heard of midrange? It is a thing
> OP couldn't possibly already know how to shoot
You're at least double gay
I have to have some soyboy outlet in my increasingly Ted Nugent-esque life. I figure part of my musical tastes are a good sacrificial anode to that end.
Thoughts on this AR10 Kit for a 2nd .308 rifle? It seems like a good brand but I've never assembled one and dont want to buy $1500 for a completed rifle.
geauxarmory.com
Also any other thoughts on AR10 < $800
>constantly makes fun of people for being poor
>posts rifle in budget thread
never change, ash
Do the G3 mags give you trouble in the Cetme? I had to buy a ton of cetme mags to get mine to function properly. It just didn't like the straight mags .
dat duvet carpet coordination tho
No, they lock up better than the cetme mags. I haven't had to do any filing to the mag well.
I already learned to shoot on an H&R .22 and .410. These are my rifles, not the family hunt guns I learned on.
It's the hotel I'm in, occasionally I travel for work.
I only make fun of people who need to be made fun of.
>no .22 to learn marksmanship
I'm not 7
>no cap and ball revolver to learn about reloading or casting, no muzzleloader, no accuracy bolt action with scope to learn about distance shooting
I don't give a fuck about any of that.
You're an autistic faggot.
Here's my budget ar, I'm in it about 480 excluding magazines.
Bump
Low budget = best budget
>go to new LGS that opened
>1k rounds of 556 55gr is 800
>dpms ar10 over 2k
Nigga please.
>railed gas block version
>minimalist stock
Why user, why? This could have been such a sensible budget AR. Why did you have to do us like this?
Even tho you did good on the cost you waisted money on that optic
Axis. Accutrigger is fantastic, and is far from alone in his positive experiences. Where the hell else are you going to find a sub-moa rifle for $300?
Axis is alright
Extendos are $100 though
So much poverty in one pic
Adding to it, the base rifle has served me well from what I've shot in competition and most of the future changes are minor tweaks. Main biggest issues right now are the scope mount which has zero shift issues which I'm saving up to replace with an ADM, the flash hider which gets really obnoxious at indoor ranges (and will be replacing with a Surefire muzzle brake and blast diffusor for when I'm shooting indoors or in close proximity to people), and the stock milspec trigger which I'm saving up for an SSA-E. The rest of the changes are going to be minor additions, a light, IR light/laser setup if I end up shooting more night matches (unlikely), low profile BUIS, and a nice sling.
Is Windham Weaponry g2g for poorfag entry level?
Liking at an HBC at the LGS. Only $725.00.
No u
u
Yes, they're the old staff from Bushmaster before it got bought out. if I recall correctly.
As someone who prefers irons. I agree.
Those are some aesthetic boxes.
I like my Axis.
*Autistic
If you mean stripped upper, then any upper, really. As long as it's 7075 t6 and has M4 feed ramps, you're good to go. Aero, PSA, VLTOR, Spike's, etc are all good offerings.
For complete, I'd recommend BCM, or PSA premium if you're on a budget.
