why has no one invented a proper bump grip mechanism for pistols? it seems like it would be doable with the pistol grip seated in a larger grip with springs inside to push the gun to the front

It would qualify as a machine gun. Regular bump stocks do not qualify as machine guns because your muscles are doing all the work.
