What is Jow Forums opinion on Keltec KSG. I am thinking about buying the standard KSG seen here in middle. FYI, buddy wants to sell me his black one for $750. Should I do it Jow Forums?

I think it's a really cool firearm and I love to support local businesses (I'm from Cocoa), but I know a Keltec employee who had one explode in his face.
It may have been operator error because he is retarded, but it may not be.
It's a fine gun, as long as you keep an open mind about it.

OP here, I know the main concern would be longevity and durability, but the KSG is rated for 3" magnum loads ( I wouldn't use magnum rounds, but just making a point).
I always was curious about the KSG, but the over inflated prices (>$1100) was what was keeping me away originally.

This is unfortunately because Keltec has some really cool ideas but they spend 99% of their production capacity making Trayvon Specials instead of the cool shit they show at Shot Show every year.

My cousin has one, it’s ok. I love Kel-Tec because they come up with some crazy fun ideas, but to be fair the KSG isn’t really worth the price.

I have one, and memes aside, its pretty damn decent. If you think its an older generation model you can send it back and they will update it free of charge. Also it cycles Aguila mini shells no problem. Bitches love mini shells

Keltec has innovative designs and good customer service.
But there is a price for that innovation. Their customer service makes up for it, and they do improve their products. I support them to see what they come up with next. They may not create the "AR Killer", but their design concepts will generally carry gun technology forward.
I appreciate what they do but I'll only buy their guns when they stop using exposed screws in the furniture.

Its a gen 3, seems like the problems before have been fixed. Kel-tec hasn't made a new generation since 2013/2012

I'm trying to decide what shotgun I want more. A KSG25 or a raced out mossberg 930. Mainly defense and hunting occasionally even though I'm picking up a Henry single shot 12 Guage for that.

I remember reading somewhere a whle ago that saigas are made out of converted stamped ak receivers and veprs are made out of converted rpk receivers, but I’m not sure how accurate this claim is.
