Back when they cost $39 each they were a great deal. I bought all five of mine for less than you can buy one today.

Pretty much.

>shit accuracy, even with new ammo
>limited ammo selection
>bolt issues

When they were $100 and the ammo was like $80 a can. these could be looked past, but now, hell no.

Strictly "rated". They're not perfect, but good enough to where that doesn't necessarily matter.
Overhyped, maybe. But that's still an Italian-made .357 with an extraordinarily low bore axis.
This. It's heavier than an AR-10. It's longer than an FAL. The Garand action is the only unique feature it brings to the table.
This also. It has the same capacity as a Hi-Point C8. Takedown is an absolute cluster. The truly "good" ones cost twice as much, anything less and you're looking at constant stoppages, early part breakage, and stress fractures.

AK-47 and 74
>Not as reliable as everyone thinks
>Not "nice" to use, kicks harder than it should for the round it fires; poor ergonomics, etc.
>Not many customization options
>Leaf sights instead of aperture sights because of poor design: dust cover
>MUCH more expensive than it should be for what it is
>7.62x39 isn't as good as many modern rounds of a similar size
>5.45x39 is fine, but has a lack of bullet options (at least in the US)

This. Soyboy virgin soviets couldn't handle the kick and later used 5,45x39. Pathetic betas
