I put this purely together because it would be a really fun little gun.
Straight-blowback, open-bolt, with a rate of fire limiter inside the grip (like the Scorpion), purely to make a little gun in a small and cheap caliber that's easy to shoot.
Just fun. Also I guess with a small caliber and lower rate of fire, it would be easier for children to shoot.

Weirdly, I feel like a bullpup like this would make sense for the poor fags living in commie states. No thumbhole/pistol grip, if you put the mag right there, changes could be quick. Plus if most of the weight is right there at your grip, it could balance well. You could go prone super low, since you're only designing to hold a 10/20 rd mag.

I think if there were no NFA laws, there'd be a market for cheap recreational automatic weapons. Like guns that exist only to be in cheap calibers and available magazines, with threads, lugs and hiders for silencers, and for shooting in full auto.

It's only gonna be used at like 50yds maximum, for recreation, either with a silencer for that "plik plik plik plik plik" noise, or using tracers at dusk/night, lobbing those glowing lines onto targets like old wok pans and what not.
It can also stand having a 50 round drum. It'll probably be a bit of an expensive affair since it has to carefully, yet reliably, feed a small rimmed cartridge with a flimsy crimp, but I know for a fact that it can be done.

Cheap hi-point tier tubeguns would be a lot of fun. They'd make a great home defence weapon too, compact enough to basically be a shoulder-able pistol. Slow the RoF down enough to be controllable like a Grease Gun and make it too simple to fail.

I was working on this at one point but lost steam with it. Was meant to be a 5.7x28 machine pistol similar to the Skorpion. Just needs a little something extra, right now it's only really a modified G36 grip assembly.
