Does a non railed dust cover exist for the vepr 12? Does anyone have a pic of the thumbhole version with wooden handguards?

Q user predicted this

What's the best place to buy new wood furniture from?

AKfiles marketplace.

I got some really beautiful Russian sunburst AK74 furniture for $75 shipped.

Can somebody ID this handguard

Attached: weird looking handguard AK.jpg (500x313, 53K)

Thanks, looks like there's some good stuff on there.

they were looking cute so i took a pic

Garbage

Does anyone here know or have the instructions to make a handguard for an ak-47?
Every time I try to buy one I get a yugo that is to long or chink plastic that melts to the barrel.

oh ok

What ak is the 7.62?

>I don't understand how you're having this issue
Just buy something that is sold as surplus and is anything but yugo

AK-101 of course

When I tried that, it arrived split down the middle.

>Google "AKM handguard"
>Buy the one you want
How is this hard?

30 bucks plus shipping is a lot.

This is why I am looking for plans to make my own.

>30 bucks plus shipping is a lot.
You picked the wrong gun then.

Polish WBP CG1 built by atlantic firearms

I'll just wrap the barrel in some cloth.

good taste in caliber and top cover muh nigaga

Attached: SARBOI3.jpg (800x600, 525K)

are east German mags worth a 10 dollar price difference compared to Polish mags?

wtf, I love the slr103 now...

What top cover is it? It looks like the TWS, but I didn't think they had the ability to use the original rear sight.

is there anywhere I can get a barreled trunnion with gas block sight in 5.45?
I wanna do a screw build that wont tear itself apart (too much)

4range.com/product/me-ak-receiver-dust-cover-with-picatinny-8922.html

ME dustcover out of ukraine, straight up copy of the TWS, but with a slot for the rear sight. Unfortunately ME has been spotty with their products since civil war started

How can some have so many 5.45 funs and others none...
>Life is suffering

Here's a close up of the hinge and rear sight slot

Attached: 20180422_232708.jpg (4160x2340, 1.99M)

How well does it hold zero?

Neat, I might have to pick one up when I get the chance. That was the main thing keeping me away from the TWS

Should I go for something like pic related or buy a used sar2 or slr104? I really want to have a 545 kalashnikov. I don't care if the timing is bad, its the only modern caliber rifle I want

forgot pic

Attached: romanian ams74 ak rifle.jpg (1000x540, 195K)

Shot it without the optic and the irons zero just fine, haven't taken it out shooting with the optic, though my suspicions see that it will preforme similarly to the TWS

Attached: 20180422_233015.jpg (4160x2340, 2.12M)

slr is always good, you wont ragret

Also if the ME never comes back in stock you can try the fab defense PDC, you can still maintain iron sights; It's used by alfa as well

stop liking things I don't like

>though my suspicions see that it will preforme similarly to the TWS
Do the TWS not hold zero well? I always see mixed reports on them; from Russians using them in the real world to few negative reviews I've seen autisticly bitching about a 1 MOA shift when someone put a huge magnified optic on it to test. Most of the complaints seem to be of the TWS breaking somehow.

The future is now old man
This thing is just a straight up clone, I haven't heard of TWS having many problems, but I'll need to do some research about breakages on how to avoid it

I picked up a shop built ak (AAM-47 reciever) and was wondering what sighting system you all would recommend. Im split between the TWS dog leg rail and some sort of side mounted rail.

Does anyone know how I can figure out if the TWS dog leg fits this rifle since it isnt listed on their "compatability" tab?

pls no bully for living in commiefornia.

Attached: AAM-47shopBuild.jpg (3477x1252, 1.01M)

Your rifle is a standard akm, so it will fit. The TWS has screws in the hinge dedicated for adjusting length so it can fit a variety of firearms.

>the future is now
It’s a fucking AK dude

And?

ak is old shit gun I don't know who would ever buy one except communists and snowflakes who want to stand out from the crowd of ar15 users.

when was the last time we had a mass shooting with ak? north hollywood? all best kill counts are with superior ar

5.56 soiboy.

AR is the new poorfag gun

any two bit retard can afford a $500 bare bones now

You people have absolutely shit taste in AK accessories

Why not both

Attached: C10B8DB3-F6DE-4D3E-B011-63AAC98FEBD0.jpg (4032x3024, 2.9M)

ar design is just about as old, you faggot.

Can anyone explain side-mount compatibility to me? I've noticed there are 2 or 3 styles of side mounts that all look different, but do they all support the same rail systems? I'm looking at the Master Mount (so i dont have to pay a smith lol), but I dont want to limit my optic options

Attached: Untitled.png (980x756, 1.13M)

It says right in the Master Mount description it will take anything. You're good to go.

Attached: ydx01evs11sz.jpg (2448x3264, 515K)

Don't think it'll take ZRAK yugo mounts... will it?

Don’t buy a mastermount retard

but why?

>hurr lets put an optic mount held in place by moving parts

The pins don't move.

Wrong

Prove it.

Do I have any chance of buying an unfired one? What should I look out for?
Whats the brit rifle?

Attached: Screen Shot 2018-04-22 at 20.24.10.png (289x287, 163K)

>held in place by screws

Yeah. Lost of optics mounts that retain zero just fine are held in place by various screws.

It’s actually a poo in loo real fucking NATO enfield

>all screws are the same
>the placement of them is totally comparable too
It’s a range toy and nothing more

Oh OK. You have no evidence then. Meanwhile: youtube.com/watch?v=Nym8obCd9TE

Might as well go buy a psak too while you’re at it
m.youtube.com/watch?v=ULWb-83QW_c

For most people a PSAK that doesn't come from the factory fucked up is perfectly acceptable.

Is this /akg/ approved?

Attached: img_4125.jpg (800x600, 189K)

I'm confused about what it actually is/ It looks like a legend from the milling, finish, and cut. the gas block looks like century trash. The wood looks half romanian, and half US.

Whatever it is, please get that fucking red dot and mount off. Soak in gas and burn.

I want to fuck a slav girl

Guys

Gib source for non railed vepr dust cover.

Also has anyone ever seen a thumbhole vepr with wood handguards?

>non railed vepr dust cover
Doesn't exist. You can make something like non-railed vityaz cover i guess if you have some free time and tools.

im a fucking retard and i want to choke on a live grenade

Lol

classicfirearms.com/aws-pm90p-7-62-ak-pistol

To buy or not to buy

how accurate is a 7.62x39 saiga compared to an sks?

Is the vepr dust cover proprietary? Like, are there any other hinged AK covers that work with it?

sexy fucking korean girl works at the gun shop i went to on friday

>tfw put an AMD-65 on layaway for $550

>Is the vepr dust cover proprietary
Yes it fucking is. But regular rpk or whatever cover will fit with some modification, just won't hinge and lock properly.

A negligible difference. It's going to be down to the shooter. SKS may feel more accurate due to the longer sight radius.

What should I be paying for a used polish underfolding ak?

>want to buy used balkan handguards
>my options are ugly blobs that look like they've been used as dog chew toys or rolling the dice at Apex on a product with no pictures

New 7.62x39 60 rounder

Attached: file.png (1247x1001, 1.34M)

TWS is shit. Drop it and lose zero. Russians only use it well the poor fag ones because it’s cheaper then Zenitco.

Plus they have to buy there own gear.

Thanks, I wasnt sure if the extra 4 inches actually made that much of a difference. I was thinking of bringing one with me on a stalker challenge/camping trip but I'm not sure which one I wanna bring. I lean towards the sks because I have a ton of strippers clips but its trigger is much worse than the saigas.

Shhh. No tears now

To any other VEPR side-folder owners - do you have issues getting optic rails mounted on with the hinge in the way?

Count the pins cocksucker

If it helps, I ordered a Bakelite lower handguard from them and in the order notes I wrote "please pick out a bright swirly one" and I got just that. The handguards came with an invoice and the note had a little check next to it in pen.

What's the deal with 7.62x39 and Russian military? Is it making a comeback or is it popular with civilians there?

It's cheap and kills shit good.
Your question is stupid and so are you

>Is it making a comeback

it was never dropped from service.

they are the best, and usually the cleanest girls

The levels of hiv in Russia suggest otherwise
