Definitely a huge improvement going to snus. Nicotine isn't carcinogenic and actually has nootropic properties, it's just smoking (specifically inhaling into lungs) that's the problem.

Eh, not really. I've maintained a healthy BMI for most of my life. CPPD is more genetic than anything. I don't drink at the request of my GP, as I have a major allergy to Allopurinol, and should I develop regular gout, would be unable to treat it effectively.
