I'm a Leaf, and I do not know much about American laws, but what's stopping a state from just ignoring the NFA? Other states ignore the federal government all the time on topics like weed and illegal immigration.

The Supremacy Clause of the US constitution.

The TL;DR is that federal laws trump state laws.

However, if the states refuse to enforce a federal law, then it falls on federal law enforcement to enforce it, and the feds have limited resources.

So the DoJ is letting some drug violations slide, even though they have every legal right to jail everyone involved.

Nobody wants to be the person to openly defy federal gun laws, because unlike with drugs or illegals, there is still the political will in Washington to have the feds arrest and prosecute every single person who does so.

If a state really wanted to, they could make everyone a member of their state police or guard and issue them machine guns. But they don't want to.

Nothing. A state has no obligation to enforce federal statutes.

If they, the feds, try and enforce anti second amendment laws in Alaska they get arrested. "Shall not be infringed" and "the right of the people" is pretty clear. Pic related is my favorite butthurt article.

Actually nothing but the abuse of the interstate commerce clause.

Lol

John Aronno deserves to be drawn and quartered.

As a quebecnigger that doesn't surprise me one bit.
I think BC searching asian and Manitoba searching native is funnier though.
Nova Scotia is 10/10

Nothing really. Although there is the supremacy clause the feds generally need to be alerted by the local cops before they show up. If the cops don't care enough to call it'll usually fly under the radar.

He looks familiar but I can't quite place it.

That's what got me. People actually think this.

That's the way it goes, I guess. 100 years from now we'll be where GB is now, and they'll be where we were in about 1786.

>wahh citizens have more power than the feds
Does he even know what a democracy is? Or liberalism?

are you in turkey user?
If so you're correct.

Oh, admit it. You'd be pissed if CHP started arresting ICE.

I am in the USA. 1787 is when the constitution was written; I was off by a year. The US is bound to end up where the UK is now because of the overwhelming presence of radical leftism in the public school system. I don't see any way to avoid it unless a significant fraction of people take their children out of public schools (unlikely) or the entire education system is revamped (flat impossible).

The Supremacy Clause only applies to the powers explicitly granted to the Federal government by the Constitution.

oof quads

>tfw muh weed states help give a big middle finger to the supremacy clause

Most weed states are anti-gun, like Colorado and California.

Immigration is an issue that rightfully belong to the Federal government owing to the lack of border controls between states. where as gun legislation does not. Nice false equivalence though.

God fucking bless Alaska.

How can one state be so based?

Attached: 1524697392504.png (720x547, 410K)

Congress can, has and will regulate firearms.

The thing about Alaska and South Carolina is that they are basically saying they are more observant of the Constitution than the federal government by trying to usurp the power expressly outlined in the Supremacy Clause.

How can you contradict yourself this much?

I'm Asian, now give me my leaf gf.

>Citizens have more power than the feds
That's the fucking point

if I recall the NFA has been found to use the power of taxation although the blocking of sales of 87+ could be invalidated on the same grounds as the marijauna stamp act as it's a defacto ban. Now state regulations have been upheld on 2nd amendment grounds of well regulated.

If it weren't so fucking cold, I'd move up and support you glorious fuckers. Till then, greetings from Missouri. We'll send you up some catfish

Weed is a bit different because the DEA has to deal with more serious drugs, cartels and smugglers. They could not possibly enforce street level possession without the local cops.

The ATF on the other hand, are a bunch of assholes who absolutely would enforce the NFA in a 2A friendly state.

California and New York get plenty of heat on these boards, but really, why has Maryland managed to avoid the recognition it deserves? Also, is it proximity to DC that makes Maryland so terrible, or is it something genetic?

not really my thing, but little caprice has a tickling vid. its pretty nice. of course everything she does is nice.

This. Some states double down on the NFA with stricter state laws, and others don’t do anything about the NFA.

And even the states that have stricter laws won’t prosecute NFA violations. They refer those out to the AUSA.

Manitoba fucking sucks, prairie niggers are the worst, they are diabeetus alcoholics.

Idaho literally does. According to Idaho state law, suppressors and SBR/SBS manufactured within the state of Idaho do not have to be registered, but may not leave the state.

Will this hold up in federal court? Probably not, but the state won't charge you. So don't get the ATF called on you and you're good.

Like Alaska and a few other states, Idaho also decided all future gun control is invalid, null and void within the state of Idaho, and made it a crime for any Idaho state official to comply with any disarmament or enforcement of any new firearms restriction enacted after March 19, 2014.

HIGH CAPACITY AMMO CLIPS

no

Law enforcement agencies in the United States have this thing called discretion. When it comes to Federal law what this basically means is that if the current sitting president doesn't want a law to be enforced, he can just tell the relevant law enforcement agencies not to enforce it. This is how marijuana legalization works. The DEA has been instructed to leave those States alone. The immigration situation is a little different, it was an issue of discretion under Obama but now the only reason why the federal government hasn't cracked down on those States is because it would be kicking a massive hornets nest.

Since the whole point of gun control is to protect the politicians from angry peasant uprisings, they're obviously not going to use their discretion in that way.

>vancouver

Nothing really, many states already ignore some of federal gun laws. SC recently had a bill to totally ignore the NFA but it didnt go through.

>Alberta
HIGH T!

According to the Supreme Court, the Federal government can do whatever it wants.

Source: Reich v Gonzales.

The Constitution doesn't say the right to bear weed.

>It would tell citizens that they had more power than the feds
Oh, imagine the horror.

It's proximity to D.C. combined with The Not So Great Migration that fucked over Maryland.

>why has Maryland managed to avoid the recognition it deserves?
It's a Southern state to Yankees and a Yankee state to Southerners.

It's really difficult to find people who even know where it's located, let alone know anything about the culture there. Once you ask a Marylandfag what's wrong with his state he'll tell you, niggers. We have liberals but Western MD and the Eastern Shore are really extremely right wing in areas not related to gun ownership.

I grew up on the shore and it's way more conservative socially and in terms of voting than here in Texas.

Yeah, but a federal district court already ruled that the precedent applies to guns too.

BC is already a chinese colony, you'll just get another gook lmao.

Lol

Who the fuck things indian girls are hot?

Which Canadian provinces would most likely be okay with being annexed by America?

I know Quebec is out.

Airdrop pamflets over the prairie provinces and they'll annex themselves.

I bet that's just one dude with a ravenous lust for smoking bitches. Parts of Canadia are hardly populated and You'd be surprised how much porn one man can consume....actually this is Jow Forums so i guess you wouldn't be surprised and in fact have first hand knowledge.

>quebec as a fetish
ABSOLUTELY SICKENING

"Prarie niggers" huh? In Alaska we just call the natives "fucking natives".Natives are such garbage that the word "native" is a racial slur tantamount to "nigger" "spic" or "chink". Booze addicted, incestuous, mongoloid retards all of them. You can't even bring lysol to native villages since alcohol is banned the fucktards started getting lit off of it.

Realistically what would stop Alaska from doing Trail of Tears Part II: Send 'Em to the Moon with the natives? And by moon, I mean north pole and executing them if they try to come back.

They can't have much outside contact with the world or resources, so no way an atrocity would be able to be known by anyone not there seeing it firsthand. Is this step one after Alaska declares independence?

Well, north pole is not very far away and pretty much resembles where they already live. You aren't the first person to seriously consider "trail of tears part deux".The problem is because of the guilt from trail of tears part one all native cultures and races are considered invaluable and are more or less getting "reparations" for the past atrocities. The fucking natives in Alaska get a hearty stipend each month from the oil companies that are drilling on their sacred lands (AKA ice covered wasteland) and they also get free healthcare from the state. So they live like little fucking children drinking their paltry braincells away, crashing and buying a new atv every month, and only having the decency to die when they are too drunk to remember that cold is cold and forgetting to find shelter before they freeze to death. But for some reason the government and the liberal shitheads that don't even live in Alaska think they are worth protecting. If I had it my way we would make Srebrenica look like a picnic.

I met some of them once. they are some caveman motherfuckers, just balls nasty. they had some sticks up their asses too. those dumb fucks and that MUH LAND, MUH PEOPLE, MUH FIREWATER MUH INCEST, MUH DIABEETUS, MUH CASINOS, MUH METH shit is grating.

they were as bad as those fucking sioux I met at a rave. I was security, not one of the degenerates.

Alberta has been begging for it since the first Trudeau

Caveman is right...living in alaska i of course went to school with natives. And they are so far removed from the modern world they struggle immensely in school. They don't place much if any value on learning science, math, or mastery of the english language. But what's more fucked is they don't even place value on keeping their own traditions alive. The oil company stipend and the state give them an easy ride so they just do fuck-all with their lives. Their own traditions (mostly shitty drum music and retarded dances but also key tools and knowledge for surving an arctic wasteland) are dying out because they have no incentive to keep them alive. If you left a modern eskimo north of the artic circle and said "figure it out" he would probably die faster than a white man would in Alaska. Because the white people here voluntarily embrace and enjoy the wilderness lifestyle they carry survival tools, have emergency plans, and read up on ways to survive and thrive in this inhospitable state. The natives are just enjoying the ride.

Actually, because smokes go for 15$ a pack in Canada, it's probably just people watching a bunch of videos of girls normally smoking. It isn't as good as smoking yourself, but it's the only way they can cope until payday.

It's Baltimore. There are plenty of more rural areas that are more right wing but when our main attraction is a murder capital and the state is gerrymandered to hell we're basically at the mercy of Baltimore's ever increasing murder rate.

There is, theoretically, no way for an individual to be prosecuted if they circumvent the NFA in an intelligent way. The Black Market exists. CNC machines and 3D printers exist. It is entirely possible for an individual to manufacture fully automatic firearms or simply purchase them below the board without any papertrail for the ATF to trace.

I think you'd be surprised how many Americans own illegal firearms. Hell, it's extremely easy to acquire banned ammunition and, since your country doesnt ban the same ammo we do, it's pretty common for crates of the shit to come across our northern border.

There's a lot of jokes on this board, but the ATF is a paper tiger in a lot of ways. They're adequate at suppressing the rights of groups, but individuals slip through the cracks every day.

Now, I welcome the agents looking into me for posting all this. I only collect pre-WWI, bolt action funs

So only immigrants can cross state lines, not guns? Don't get me wrong, I'm all about decentralization, but don't act dumb. If anything the US should just be a loosely associated group of independent states, like the EU but less authoritarian and gay.

Jesus fuck. In that case watching bitches smoke would seem like torture.

Some states do exactly that (notably Alaska). The problem comes when the feds show up; do you really think local/state PD are going to stack left on a courtroom door and rescue your ass? Or get into a shootout with the FBI/ATF/Marshalls/DEA/State Department?

The key to doing stuff in those states is to shut up about it.

WELL
REGULATED
MILITIA

The militias right to keep and bear arms,,, hmmmm. I don't have the actual amendment in front of me but I don't think it goes like that.

Canada is a cucked country, they're used to self torture

canadian here, I came to say big ups to, BASED A L A S K A

Don't take no shit and remember, shall not infringe.
>Lest ye become like us.
>no amendments

ffs, people only understand once they're being packed on trains for the gulags.

Guns are life and death in Alaska. Many people live semi-subsistence lifestyles where they rely on hunting to have meat for the year. Also (just like in canada) we're surrounded by massive bears, wolves, and moose that will kill your ass if you aren't careful. The sort of "gauge" of whether or not you have an adequate firearm to take into the wild in alaska is whether or not you can drop a 1200lb coastal grizzly charging you at 35mph from less than 100 yards. Human killing cartridges like 5.56 or 7.62x39 could do it if you can manage to dump practically the entire 30 round mag in that short space of time. (Yes far less would still kill it but im talking about destroying the thick skeletal structure of a grizzly so you can trip it up and halt its charge) most old timers use a semi-auto tube fed shotgun with 3" slugs or a lever action 45-70. Hunters up here generally carry a 300 win mag or 375 h&h bolt action and a .44 mag revolver or .454 casull revolver on their hip. More modern hunters are using mag fed 308 battle rifles in place of the bolt action and revolver. Which is what i use. 308 will do the job with good shot placement during hunting and mag dumping 308 into a charging grizzly will definitely put it down. My Grandad was a bush pilot and hunting guide for his entire life in alaska and he hunted with and carried a 1903 springfield. If 30-06 does it 308 will too.

I dont understand how canada operates. Canada has giant fucking moose and grizzly too and yet their firearm laws are so restrictive it seems like it would leave you ill prepared to deal with deadly wildlife.

Even then they won’t get it.
They will think it some adventure camp.

Where to move to in Alaska?
Do they like Europoors?

So, most people live in south central alaska. Its dark and cold for 8-9 months out of the year and temps can drop down to -40F(-40C) and stay there for weeks on end. The weather is very unreliable and you can get caught in incredible blizzards or tornado force winds with little warning. Its expensive to live here. You need a reliable, well maintained FWD/4WD vehicle with studded tires and a set of summer tires too, that has a block heater. Guns are cool but you may be miserable here.

As far as Europeans go Alaska doesn't discriminate. we get European tourists all the time. As long as you're smart nobody is going to fuck with you. I almost shot some germans a couple years ago. I was in Cordova visiting family and decided to go for a hike with my hot loaded 10mm glock 20. This was during the height of the salmon running which also coincides with berry season in cordova, so black bears were plentiful and I'd seen 3 earlier in the day. During my hike i came upon a some berry bushes around a sharp bend that were rustling like something huge was in it. So i unholstered my glock and gave the bushes a wide berth. About halfway past them i saw a bucket hat and instantly knew it was just tourists picking berries.specifically german tourists picking salmon berries with zero firearms or bear spray and there was bear sign all over the place. They were pretty nice, i wonder if they made it back.

>Quebec searches Quebec

Fitting

this map confirms that BASED Alberta is by far the best province, as it is the only one whose porn concerns itself securing the existence of our race and a future for white children

BC, Ontario, Manitoba and Nunavut have been chang'd, pajeet'd, tonto'd and nanook'd
Saskatchewan and NWT don't even pretend they're looking for human beings
Quebec crawled up its own ass; they're probably jerking it to Bonhomme fucking a maple tree tap or something
NL and NS are non-procreative
NB gets cancer
Yukon and PEI are just weird

People say this, but everyone I meet from Edmonton and Calgary hate Truedeau, but only slightly more than the States. They are proud of the cowboy nature of Alberta, but give me the same "why do you need and assault rifle?" bit I hear in American cities.

The militia argument has been undermined ever since the NFA and the 94 AWB. How is a militia supposed to be essential to the maintenance of a free state if the government gimps their ability to fight?

The key difference is Canadians don't go outside.

>I almost shot some germans a couple years ago.
The weirdest shit happens up here, people don't even know until they experience it

>it would tell citizens that they had more power than the feds
Oh no, anything but that, the plebs need to know their place under the heel of the government.

What is Quebec porn?

FUCK
YES

No I would not

Yep, alaska is a trip. I have family down south and they just don't understand how vastly different alaska is. And its hard to even articulate in some ways.

>If they, the feds, try and enforce anti second amendment laws in Alaska they get arrested

chenault and his law don't trump the supremacy clause, so this is so much grandstanding, and as for arresting feds, what is obstruction of justice? the feds can just counter-arrest the staties, and try them in federal court. with a 98% conviction rate. who has the resources to fuck that shit up? also the idea that you can arrest a federal agent for enforcing federal law is hilarious, particularly since the nfa has stood since the '30s.

it's more that no one can be fucked challenging it and taking it all the way to the supremes.

>It bothers me that he is upset about citizens having power over the fed....

He's not saying that at all. The same Constitution that contains the 2nd Amendment also contains the Supremacy Clause. That law is literally delusionall; state law never beats federal, and it doesn't beat the Constitution either. If it did then the DC handgun ban could never have been challenged. Arresting a federal agent for enforcing federal law is obstruction of justice. Same shit as would be liberals arresting ICE agents for smacking down illegals.
