Any news on the South Korean carbines?

Attached: 0319181032~2.jpg (2620x4656, 2.87M)

Since I've never actually been to a range other than once with some relatives down in Texas, what sorts of looks do you all get bringing so much surp to the range?

Attached: Nagant Revolver profile2.jpg (3000x2000, 1.85M)

My Vergueiro is new...ish.

Attached: 20180427_111235.jpg (4032x1092, 2.91M)

So I finally sent my k11 off to get drilled and tapped. That thing is gonna be a damn tack driver when deer season rolls around.

Damn, we aren't even 10 posts in yet.

Attached: M91-30 Doggo photobomb.jpg (2250x1500, 1.58M)

This is my newest pic, might take a photo of my Tok soon though.

Should get the barrel chopped while you're at it.

Attached: SWE - M38.jpg (4032x2268, 2.63M)

That's a bit extensive. I did install a cheek riser in the stock and put a clamp on muzzle brake on it too.

You can’t make me.

At least cut the stock back, look how long it is, totally unnecessary. That couple of ounces at the end of the gun makes a YUGE difference for pointing it properly.

Attached: SWI - K11.jpg (3669x788, 1.82M)

Oh yeah I can. I'll poke you.

Attached: 1895 Chilean with stabby.jpg (3437x797, 1.1M)

I'll be able to post new pictures on Friday, lads. Then you'll be able to see my shitty college collection in all its glory.

Attached: IMG_20180104_141454.jpg (2553x4119, 3.33M)

No way. Even though I drilled a cheek riser into the stock I would still like it to be original. Do you have any scope recommendations? All I have is a barska to test it out with I want something better.

Just glue a red dot to the handguard.

My K31's bolt is really sluggish during extraction, despite being very clean and greased all the way through.
I get that it's a straight pull so it needs more force but still, anyone else experience this?

I'm not trying to bubba my k11 I am trying to modernize it in a tasteful way

First day of Spring and (you)s are ready to harvest.

Bubba no

>”modernizing” a surplus gun
>tasteful in any pretense
Get a cheap used savage axis or something, you pleb

This is bait

People don’t bat an eye. If anything you’ll get complements from fudds for the nice durr raiful that needs a scope.

But I already have a k11 why should I spend 300 on a whole new gun? This is far more accurate than an axis I've been shooting it ever since I was a child it was my grandfather's and he willed it to me it's what I know I'm good with

>I'm not trying to bubba my k11 I am trying to bubba it

Sell it and go buy one that's already bubba'd, then spend the leftover money you have left over on reloading stuff.

Wonder what I should bring on my next range trip. Belgian Mauser and Vergueiro are locked in, alone with my Type 38 and Type 30.

What else should I bring?

Attached: 20180315_141522.jpg (4032x1052, 3.31M)

Dude, it's bait. He posts variations of this every once in a while.

See my above post

Here's my Tok, about 95% decosmoed, still got a little more work to do.

Something in 9mm.

Attached: YUG - M57 Tokarev.jpg (4032x2268, 2.17M)

So, a question about the peep sight on the 03 A3 springfield. It seems there's just a screw head drilled through to hold the inner ring in place, would removing this screw and the inner ring allow for a bit more of an open rear sight? I'd of course keep the parts safely. Just curious about it before I go in there with a screw driver and for some reason can't get it back together afterwards.

My M14 parts kit also just arrived. Not going to unpack it all since I'm probably going to have a smith assemble it when the receiver arrives.

LRB is still selling a parts kit, with barrel, for $895. If you're like me and want a GI contour barrel they will swap it out.

Lever nug.

>bubbaing your grandpa's k11
literally hang yourself and give the gun to someone who will cherish it

You got some 8x50r for your M95? Bring that.

Attached: M91-30 snow3.jpg (3000x2000, 1.6M)

What the fuck...

Yeah, that's not supposed to be there. Someone's attempt to build a target sight, I applaud their ingenuity. I would have never thought of that...

So taking it out would only be putting it back to normal. Gotcha. No huge loss if I can't put it back together if I so desire.

God i really want one of those long K1911 sweaty ben got

Also, what's the zero range for an A3?

Probably 400 yards but I'm not sure.

The problem is he probably drilled out the original aperature to put that in there, so it will go from way to small to way too big. Might be a good idea to pick up a replacement.

That seems a little ludicrous Since they were the war time (WW2) made primary variant of the rifle. And the Garand wasn't close to 400 at zero.

Take something modern ya dingus

Ahaha what the fuck

I was asking because when I went to the range with my relatives, I brought my AK, and everyone there acted like they had never seen one before, even though most of the other people there had ARs. My relatives brought fudd guns, because they aren't super into guns very much.

Attached: GP 1975.jpg (3000x2000, 2.71M)

Google point plank range and you'll understand what I mean.

Yo yo niggas czech me out

Attached: 20180501_211829.jpg (2592x1458, 1.44M)

Hm. Yeah. I can't even figure out how to adjust the basic zero on the thing anyways. Though that'll just be a search I suppose.

I've no fucking idea how to take a good pic

Attached: 20180501_212138.jpg (4032x2268, 2.04M)

Put a shirt on.

Get a haircut

No
I got one last week, hate having short hair

Attached: 20180501_213308.png (678x1240, 577K)

Yeeaah. There's no range markings on that rear sight anymore...

Have you found any hollow point ammo that will feed though it reliably?

Definitely gonna need a new rear sigh. Fucking hell... I should have passed on this rifle.

>Please post new pictures edition
I would if I could get a decent deal on a gun I want. I even put up a WTB on armslist and the only response I've gotten is for an overpriced Yugo SKS.

Attached: IMG_0649.jpg (1539x334, 353K)

And my front sight is literally touching the roof of my sight hood.

Bring your Winchester 1895, shit must be really fun to shoot.

On another note, have you ever heard of or come across a Japanese Type I that was rechambered for 6.5x54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer? LGS has one and I says it was sent over to the Krauts and rechambered in Germany. Is there any documentation out there to support this claim?

I understand that Type Is were often vet bringbacks (no import mark on this one) and that 6.5 Anime wasn't initially available on the commercial market following WW2, so many were rechambered for common cartridges. 6.5 was pretty popular back in the day, but the rifle is in immaculate, non-bubbaed condition so I have my doubts it was used as a working DURR gun.

There is also the possibility that it was marked incorrectly on the reciever, but I am not so sure as the marks look to have been done by the factory and not by a 3rd party importer.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch Jow Forumsomrades!

Hey, I'll take that problem child off your hands for $300...

Can anyone comment on what front sight blade type I'd need for a 100 yard zero with a 03A3?

I'm almost tempted, but I'd be at a loss on that of 243 bucks

Where'd you find an 03a3 for 550? Everyone around here wants 800 to 1000...

No I don't, been too lazy to make any.
Good suggestion.
Wife is brining the AUG and FS2000.
>shit must be really fun to shoot.
It is. I wish everyone to could experience it honestly. It's a fantastic rifle.

Never heard of a 6.5x54 Type 1. If the Germans rechambered to any 6.5 caliber it'd be to the 6.5 Carcano, since they had access to that far more readily than they would 6.5MS. Or that's my guess at least.

It's a national ordnance. Though before you go ew, ballistic lab testing showed the receivers were actually stronger than the GI ones. Aaand the factor that the front sight is too tall and the rear sight is fucked.

Didn't realize the latter two until today, got it this weekend.

1929 french MAB model A.
Traded a few AR mags for it.
Help me name it, Jow Forums

Attached: 20180501_162347.jpg (5312x2988, 3.99M)

>If the Germans rechambered it to anything, it'd be 6.5 Carcano.

Good point. I'll ask the guy some more about it tomorrow when I pick up the other Carcano I have on reserve.

Way I see it there are 3 possibilities.

>rifle rechambered to 6.5 Carcano by Krauts, marked 6.5 MS by an importer since the 2 calibers are really similar dimensionally

>rifle imported from warehouse in Germany post-war, marked 6.5MS by mistake because importer is retarded. Still in 6.5 Jap since many weren't shipped to the IJN

>Captured in battle as a vet bringback, rechambered to 6.5 MS since more available and relatively easy to convert

Appreciate the feedback.

Also

Gonna have ~4k disposable income soon, what would be a really cool C&R(s) to spend it on?

I'm looking for a good investment that I can convert back to cash later if I so wish/ will be funner to have than a stock in something.

Attached: 0507161906a.jpg (2304x1296, 1.24M)

Eh, it's your face. Shame they screwed up usgi parts.

I am pretty sure he wouldn't mind. As long as I use it

If you actually research you find more back and forth information that contradicts itself and the stories and the history of the rifles. And whole lot of 'he said she said' stories but only a single real piece of photographic evidence. But once you get to real documentation you find out they are in fact, not poorly manufactured receivers.

But yeah, I still basically fucked myself into a hole. Even without receiver swapping I'd be paying probably 150 to 200 for sights and then smithing fees.

are you a trap?

Good night /msg/, don't let the bedbubbas bite.

Enjoy your grenade

They are both bubba'd to shit. The Martini has a late war Japanese Type 99 rear sling swivel lol.

New picture time

Either way I'm just gonna shoot light, off the shelf .308 out of it anyway.

How far out do you get to shoot?

Attached: 20180418_091705.jpg (3187x1882, 3.26M)

Depends on what field I use, The furthest I've gone out to is about 200 on our back field (new pic related). I could probably go out further, but there are some houses nearby, and I don't want ricochets flying through peoples houses. Besides, we don't have a gong and milk jugs are hard to hit at that range.

Attached: 1895 Chilean long range stabbing.jpg (3000x2000, 789K)

So here is an update on my k11 sporter build. My gunsmith called me and asked me at least 3 times if I really wanted to do this. I told him if he didn't drill it than I would find someone that would. It should be done by tomorrow and I will likely have it my next week. I still need serious scope recommendations because I hunt a tobacco field and it is at least 400 yards of open space so I need something good. I am so hyped to push the 7.5 round to its limits this fall!

Oh no, stop. You fool, you bubba you. Stop...

There, you got the reaction and the (you). Find some new bait and a new thread.

People were feeding him earlier. The more they eat, the more hungry they become. Bonus battle-station picture

Is the house in the picture yours or someone else’s?

>thinking it's bait
Is it so bad that I wanna make something that is cool and unique?

That's a barn, and no, our house except for our front field is owned by somebody else. The people who do own it have like 900 acres around here so they don't give a fuck if we fish or not.

Haven't heard anything, but it's probably not worth getting your hopes up.

Attached: 20180314_124226.jpg (3906x944, 2.35M)

I'm a poorfag that only has a .22 buckmark handgun, should I get a $200 pump action or a $300-$400 msp bolt action for a long gun?

Attached: 1506193925564.png (800x573, 852K)

If you want to do long range shooting on a budget a $400 Ruger American or Mossberg MVP.

So /MSG/, I want to bubba this Tulsky PU, and by bubba I mean remove the shellac and hit it with linseed or tung oil. Blasphemy?
I'm torn, considering that the original wartime finish was raw wood, or shellac, but the finish thereafter was left to armourers and soldiers...

Attached: 20180502_121052.jpg (4032x1205, 3.3M)

>Blasphemy?
Yes.

So I always see people talking about which gun is the nicest to shoot. What's the worst gun by far to shoot?
>obnoxious recoil
>loud as all fuck
>clumsy and irritating to use
>etc

Pip
