Only when I put it onto an SMG or something that size. I really only bought the MS4 because it's the cheapest adjustable 2 point when you factor in QDs, but found single point with SMGs to be pretty comfy.

For AR:

1 if you are actually fighting. It's faster, but even if you swing it to your back it kind of bobs around wildly or hits you in the nuts if you have it in the front.

This is actually how I have mine set up.

Instead of being attached at the extreme ends of the rifle like in OP, both ends of the sling are attached closer to the middle of the rifle.

In my experience there was less cheek weld and forward hand grip interference by the sling.

Only issue was that sometimes when bringing the rifle up the slack from the strap would get in the way of shouldering. Needed to retrain myself to push out and in to avoid getting tangled by pivoting the rifle up.
