shitty pic for better explanation. the barrel is in the way of the light so you'd have a shadow getting larger and larger in the dead center of your target so everything around your point of aim is illuminated while your point of aim is still in the shadow

I'm not def defending this guys poverty blaster, but what does it matter where a flashlight is mounted? It should be mounted in a place where it's easy for the user to actuate. personally I prefer the light on the bottom as I can put it in front of the handstop, actuate it with my index finger and because its below the rifle it doesn't interfere with the sight picture on top or add extra width on the sides

The rifle itself feels really solid, milled aluminum lower with bear creek barrel and anderson upper

if that's a real red dot then it looks fine to me. some backup iron sights would make it even better
