Went to the range today. Shot my gen 5 glock 17. First time shooting it, it was nice, put 150 rounds through it.
>3 targets
>150 rounds
>123 rounds om target
>All done from 25 yards
Rate my accuracy?

dude 0/10
its 25 yards you should be able to hit it every single time. I mean you can practically reach out and touch it!
25 yards is pretty far for a beginner with a pistol so not too bad.
25 yards is often the maximum range at an indoor range.
Not sure if you're serious?
Is that really considered far?
Also
>Some autistic guy with torn pants and disheveles hair shows up
>Some sort of rifle with old wood finish
>Loud as fuck shots
>After every single shot he turns to me to see if I look at him
>Shoots 10 rounds then leaves
Shit was awkward as hell, especially because the guy smelled like shit.
Gen5
Not impressed
>shoots 150 rounds all on just 3 targets
People here really don't know how to shoot do they? Better to change targets with magazines or at least mark your last shots
Have you just been watching a ton of hickock before getting into funs? You should practice pistols at 15 or closer first.
Didn't bring my own targets, didnt feel like paying for more than 3. Also, our department has us qualify with our firearms by shooting 50 rounds on a target, so I was just trying to practice in that manner so when the next qualification comes, I'll do better.
I've yet to look at firearms videos on yt. But as I mentioned, I have firearms qualifications and for that we start at
>0 yds
>5 yds
>10 yds
>15 yds
>20 yds
>25 yds
I just wanted to do it at 25 yards so that I become a better shot at longer ranges
>our department
stopped reading there
why dont you fuck off pig
How many bullets per target?
Dude cops have alot of weed if u let them touch your gun you might get smoke bro
Why didn't you look at me, user?
Hmm... Alright
what weird precinct is that?
Standard is 3, 5, 7, 15, 25 yards
50 to 60 rounds, 80% accuracy for passing.
Haha! W-Wow! T-That guy sounds like a total loser!
lying on the internet/10
Hmm, what state?
That's weird range to me. Different departments different standards.
Idk if he was a loser, though he wasn't dressed like he knew how. Either that, or he doesn't know how to budget financially and rather spend all his money on guns/ammo instead of clothing.
Lying about getting an 82% accuracy? Don't you think I'd just say 95%+?
same gun in both hands?
>25 yards is often the maximum range at an indoor range.
I've shot further than 25 yards.
I was about a 1/4 mile away.
both fbi and doj standards are 3, 5, 7, 15, 25.
your department is weird.
fag
Hitting paper doesn't mean accuracy. Post your groupings faggot.
Hmm, guess so, if what you say is true. Regardless, for someone being new to firearms, I didn't do as bad as I could've.
SUMMER FAGGOT. HIDE AND SAGE
Here
In my state center and right are automatic fails just by the shots off the target. Each one of those counts as -20.
Start closer and slower. research a bit on proper form/methods and don't be afraid to start off at one round every ten seconds from 3yrds or whatever. Self diagnose your issues, fix them as best as you can, and move back once groups are acceptable. you'll also find it's helpful to focus on aiming at the same singular point every time, if you try to adjust from shot to shot it can make things harder to read from a target. Otoh if you aim at the exact same spot every time and at the end of a 5-10 round string find a consistent error(Ex too far right) then that provides you with a strong indicator of what you should work on.
None of that means anything unless we know how big the target was.
Had my fto call it "bird shot" what's that mean?
I am actually inclined to agree. A gun isn't a bow and arrow. So long as you aim at the bullseye, every shot should be hitting it.
you'd be surprised how many normalfags are here. they're alright usually.
A yard is 3 feet. Do you know how long a foot is?
