There are some barrel and bolt kits, plus magwell included, that will let you convert you Yugo Zastava rifle to 556, although you'll need a gunsmith for that if you lack the knowledge to do the procedure yourself.

Also, some of the issues with pap rifles can be attributed to dogshit recoil springs. The ones that come with the rifle are weak and cause the BCG to slam into the rear trunnion. Literally a $10 fix.
Regardless, hardness tests have proven there is no problem with heat treatment.
