I do plan on getting a couple new masks this month from a very close friend of mine, one or two of which are restoration projects, but aside from that, mostly focusing on milshit and diving gear for now.

Hmm... I'm not sure. Are you sure you can't do 50? Seems really beat up and it'll take a lot of TLC to get into stable condition again. Still totally interested, but $70 is way outside my budget for this month. (Although that depends if this one person is going to buy my repro GM-17, then it's more viable. Also I'd be totally open to pay that much this June).

also I'll wanna see extra pics and details of this mask to make sure it's not a lemon - no sense in attemping to restore it if the metal is rusted through and breaks on certain parts during disassembly or if the rubber is badly rotted.

Yeah, now that I look at it, this seems a little out of my restoration capabilities. Rubber is too far gone and if I start fucking with it, something will get damaged. I'll try to put a work out to other collectors, they seemed really interested in this deal.
Those are decent masks. Harnesses are a bit dumb to use, but as long as it fits and seals you, you're good to go. Just make sure you use enexpired filters with it. Also I hope your test involves banana oil or something. There's been like 5 other people on this board following the foorsteps of gasbro.
Milleniums and SGE's are always price gouged, unfortunately.
I wouldn't pay more than $40 for either mask, personally. There's much better options out there.
The ones in clear plastic are training/tear gas filters and should be perfectly safe, however offer no cbrn protection.

Ah, true. But generally, at least in the U.S. you can get Avon FM-12's and Scott/Kemira M/95's for around $50-$60 average on ebay while milleniums and SGE's typically push over the $100-$150 range at best, and they aren't as modern in terms of design and features as the FM-12 and M/95 is.
IDK if it's impossible to get either of those in leafistan, but personally, it's what I reccommend. All I know about canadian gas mask collecting is that it's illegal to own C4's or something.

This. Cheap-ass kneepads will more than often slide down while moving around. Also, some guys will deliberately push them down if they expect to walk/run for a long-ass time.
