These threads are >50% reposts of pics >25% "muh shtf/why do you buy that" tier comments >10% silly questions >10% comments on skeletors body >5% actual discussion
Yeah, these threads are just worthless image dumps. I kind of think they would be better off if they were like Jow Forums where you cant post the same image twice, but make it legacy over the last say, 3 generals. That way if you're going to post the same set of crye shit you post in every thread, you at least have to take new pictures every time.
Dylan Williams
And the rest of Jow Forums is no different lmao >the same stupid questions >the same stupid ideas >"tfw no/not _______" >(insert old news article with a stupid follow up question) >Russia/China posting >raifu/waifu threads >"What if..." >"ITT: Jow Forums ....."

>no knee pads Blew all your money on the empty bladder pouch didn't you?
covered and tucked Not gonna lie, not the biggest fan of the forces line, which is why I mostly use my Quest 2's which have metal eyelets, sort of. Will probably get the Quest 3's in the future tho. Also prefer the open hooks more than the closed one the forces have.
Julian Adams
Is bulletproof zone a reliable seller?
Nicholas Bennett
also my 3L bladder is currently in my rucksack, I rarely use a 3L bladder alone with just a PC
Brayden Davis
And the rest of Jow Forums is no different either.
Nathan Ross
never heard of it. maybe order something small and cheap and do a review?
Kevin Gomez
norse camo a shit. m90 is where it's at.
Ethan Myers
It’s one of the few places that claim they will sell armor to non LE/mil.
Otherwise know a good place to get sized level 3a SAPI backers?
Brody Bell
There are plenty of places that sell armor to non LE/mil?
Michael Rivera
w2c that shirt?
Evan Edwards
Like???
And do they have sized SAPI backers?
Adam Flores
Not him, but bulletproofme and atarmor are two of the many places that do.
Nathaniel Allen
Bulletproofme sells backers, just call them and specify a cut. Although velsys themselves won't sell them to civilians, OPtac, SKD, and other retailers will.
Luke Peterson
ebay or facebook, blackhawk doesn't make HPFUs anymore.
figure out how many lumens you want. and look on amazon/primary arms/brownells/your_favorite_online_store
Elijah Young
I'm not a lumenfag I just want good battery life.

Who makes the best hydration bladder these days? Durability and ease of cleaning are what I care about.

>source Still? Last one I had a blew up years ago.
Aiden Smith
Look at thrunite 2a 3v. 500 lumens with few other lower lumens, takes two AA, slim and comfortable, durable too. They got a bunch of other dif types with dif batteries, check out the brand.
Nathan Williams
SKD practically has a DROS system for non-LEO/mil with all the forms they want you to fill out. Fuck that shit.
Joseph Sullivan
that ti4 looks good
Christopher Lee
I got a full set of 90’s Canadian webbing with the FN mag pouches for $35 the other day
>flag on bottom Does no one know the US flag code anymore?
Juan Young
Haven't tried them. Look pretty good. Think I'll give em a try. Thanks user.
Lincoln Howard
My friend has one and likes it, said it reminded him a lot ofnhis stream light. If you want a keychain light, look at their ti3. It's a keychain light that uses 1 AAA battery, has a max out put of like 130 lumens (For 45 to 60 mins, depending on battery) Thing can really throw the beam too. Literally 20x brighter and better throw than your phone light. They're like 9 dollars. Ordered a bunch for Xmas, every one is still using them.
Henry Diaz
The ti3 was the first to get my attention and I was almost sold on it until I realized how small it was and it has a twist cap. The price is a little more on the ti4 but it has about 6 times the life of a microstream at a similar light level, not including having other modes so it seems like a good fit. plus it's $20 vs $30 for the bulkier 2x AA light
2x AAA's is probably bout ideal since it isn't too bulky but you still have something to hold on to, even the microstream is a bit small
I was at first not sold on the twist cap for on/off, mostly due that I prefer a light. with a tail cap switch (Main EDC light is a thrunite tn12, 2014 model, max output is 1100ish) the cap switch on the ti3 is solid, has not turned itself on by accident so far. I also like it cause some times I'm just in my underwear and need to run out at the car, so all i got is my keys and that little light has helped a lot for when i couldn't see. The Ti4 has enough to grab onto, not so bulky that it needs it's own pocket, so can easily ride shotgun with let's say your pocket knife.
Also check out their headlamps too if you need one. I've broken so many head lamps, even expensive ones (So many are plastic, or the wiring from the battery company has fucked up) the Thrunite ones are made from metal, the battery compartment and bulb are all togeth (Pic of what I got, TH10) which TH 10 has max output of 800 lumens for an hour. Like 4 dif other settings after that. Thrunite also has a 2 yr warranty. If it breaks, they replace the whole thing for free. Fenix is another great brand, Nitecore does some good shit too.
You buy another microstream. The new ones are 45 lumens and 18 dollars. Assuming it’s your edc light.
If you want to spend more on edc, they have a rechargeable microstream that’s 100 lumens.
To be honest, I’ve never carried any other light in my pocket, and I lose one about once a year, but at 18 bucks and 45 lumens at that size and they are tough as shit, it’s pretty hard not to just buy another. When lights get to that size and it’s something I carry every day, I realize I’m going to lose it every once in a while, so I’d rather not spend much cash on it.

Does anyone have a non-expired link to the discord?

What do I look for in a light weight chest rig? I want to use it more for competition shooting and larping
Robert Rodriguez
fuck off we're full
Robert Reyes
prebuilt or just a rig with molle
Jackson Sullivan
B b but where else am I going to brag about my new Spiritus Systems LV-119b
How to LARP when living in a noguns country? I have a .22 bolty by the way.
Jackson Scott
How would you mount an IR lazor on a FAL? Wouldn't you want one for use with NODs? Has it been done befoe?
Mason Adams
You can get a CASV from vltor. I’ll probably get one eventually, along with a dbal for the FAL. The eotech works alright for aiming at night now, but having another laser would be nice.
Haven't had much need for headlamps in a while, I mostly just hoard harbor freight free 2 in one lights for working on stuff or use the a1tactical around the yard. They redesigned them recently so instead of the 30 LED's for the main light, it has one LED strip, haven't seriously used it yet but comparing them side to side, it's a lot brighter and more even light.
I'll keep it in mind though. TH20 looks decent.
I never cared much about the 2 hour run time. I never used it and had it die when it was seriously important, but it got annoying when it'd die half way through something. The ti4 to me looks pretty good because it's not too much bulkier, and honestly an extra batter worth of length is an advantage to me over the micro stream since it was a bit small, and has the moonlight mode, the 20ish lumen mode for 12 hours and a high. I will miss the hat feature of the microstream though.
>have a chest rig with no on the molle back What's the best way to carry water? Should I go with a belt mounted water bottle or wear a camelbak under the chest rig?
Two questions: >1. Which is more operator: Velcro mag pouches or buckle mag pouches, specifically for SAW pouches. >2. On a scale on 1 to 10, what’s the quality on Paraclete plate carriers?
Where to cop? Only game is town seems to be varustelka, and they are almost dried up. Where can I nab some of that gear?
Brody Parker
Picture of the chest rig. I’ve DIY rugged up quite a few solutions, and I’ve seen a number of people send in stuff to loca shops for slightly more in-depth solutions.
If you don’t do that, I’d go with a camelbak. Water on the belt only works well if you are using a suspension harness to turn it into LBE.
Using something like pic related you can loop the grimloks at the bottom of the hydration pack through the waist strap on the chest rig, and the top grimloks to the rear back straps of the chest rig.
I like Foretrex w/Topo map. I use it to pull UTM coordinates and plot them on the map.
Oliver Butler
Combat shirt is from Taiga Crye G3's are from Equipnor, but you gotta get it second hand nowadays or repro plate carrier is repro from dr mervin pouches are NFM from equipnor, got it second hand. Buff and cap is from Miltrad Hydration pouch and belt is from combatkit.
will probably upgrade belt somewhere in the future, and perhaps invest in a seperate helmet for the kit, but owning 2 ops cores is a bit overkill at the moment, but might pick ups the new SF helmet when it releases.
Robert Wright
I must say I rather like your kit. its not the flashiest but you can tell you use the hell out of it. gud on ya.
Jaxson Perez
Foretrex is definitely usable. GPSmap has some other wizbangs that are nicer but if you want just a gps the foretrex has a proven record.
Thanks. I built it around hiking/walking first and went from there.
Elijah Mitchell
shit, i literally had a boner looking at this
Thomas Barnes
How's this with a Globalstar GSP-1600 for baby's first budget comms
You have 10 seconds to explain how spending thousands of dollars to LARP as a spec ops soldier is any different than a furry spending thousands of dollars on a suit to be his fursona.
Could be worse, I could be one of those fags that spends thousands of dollars on Golfing equipment.
Luke Brown
what kind of pistol mag pouches are those? id like to have something like that to put on a rigger belt for edc for shits and gigs. also, with all these nice radios i see, are you people getting that amateur radio license?
Landon Jones
Most of my purchases are used for general outdoor activity and buying gear is a nice buffer from buying thousand dollar car parts.
