Why the fuck hasn't anybody made a pistol chambered in 5.56? Like, seriously. It's fucking 2018 people! We have the fucking technology to do it and l have the fucking money to buy it.

Plr-16

>round that is heavily dependent on barrel length
>make it a pistol

Fuck off

No you fucking dumbasses. Im talking like something like an actual fucking pistol. The kind that i can conceal carry

Attached: disgust.png (1600x1551, 1.96M)

This. 1400fps 22lr? No fucking thank you.

Those are actual pistols and you can conceal them depending on your state's concealed carry requirements.

5.56 oal 2.3in
.357 oal 1.6in

>tfw there will never be a true .223 pistol like the one from bladerunner/fonv
why live

Attached: Bladerunner-PlagerKatsumateSeries-D.gif (445x300, 118K)

If this can hold 7 rounds of .50 ae, then lm pretty sure that it's possible to make a pistol that holds 10 rounds of .223

LGS has me.
Its atrocious.

This is one of the biggest problems with 5.56; the stock military rounds (M193/M855) are very dependent on barrel length to work effectively, whereas 7.62x39 does very well even out of a Krinkov style platform.

5.56 does work ok with some of the Gucci modern loads in an SBR, but in a pistol (with something like a 5 to 6 inch barrel, and that's stretching it), it's pretty much a glorified 22.

How?
>chamber round
>90% or round sticks out past muzzle
>fire
>round hits my foot cuz lol no barrel
>no damage
>casing splays out like a daisy
>can not extract

>thinking round diameter has anything to do with cartridge length

Yeah but imagine how much easier your logistics are going to be. No more dragging around 9mm rounds you can now invest it all in 5.56.

I CC a micro draco

there are many things like these that are legally pistols

Attached: EXP.jpg (1280x720, 81K)

Because not only is 5.56mm ungodly bright and loud and concussive from a shorty little barrel, but the ballistics are beyond atrocious.
What you want is the FN Five Seven pistol (which isn't that great either).

A heavier bullet helps, for sure, but 7.62x39mm also doesn't have even close to as good range and flat trajectory as 5.56x45mm or 5.45x39mm, even with a full sized rifle.
Comes down to what you want in your long gun.

With a barrel so short that the tip sticks out of the muzzle, you're not even going to get the giant fireball, you're gonna get a *FOP* noise with the bullet flopping downrange really slowly and weirdly, with a plume of unburnt powder blowing out the barrel and all over your shooting bench.

Listen here nigger you're a fucking retard. A full sized rifle round in a handgun is probably the most idiotic thing I've ever heard proposed. Let me tell you just why you're so profoundly retarded:

1. 5.56 out of an 8" barrel is unreliable; Out of a 3-5" barrel it would keyhole as soon as it exited and be absolutely anemic.

2. Have you ever shot a snub nosed revolver with +p ammo? That shit kicks enough, the recoil with a rifle round would hurt like hell and make follow up shots extremely difficult.

3. You couldn't have the mag in the grip because then you couldn't hold it unless you had hands like Wilt Chamberlain. That means either the mag is forward of the grip and you have EVEN LESS BARREL or it's bullpup and giant/unwieldy/unreliable.

4. The report and burst volume from firing would make you deaf. You ever fired 5.56 from a barrel

Attached: fv0iu2kgtaqq5ktu3y8z.gif (500x281, 1.55M)

That looks cool.
Slap some wood and engraving on it like it was a flintlock and it would look really mall ninja.

>the recoil with a rifle round would hurt like hell and make follow up shots extremely difficult
Recoil wouldn't be as bad as you think, because a lot of the energy is just blown out free at the muzzle (wasted), rather than push the bullet forward, and push back against the gun (and you), compare to how a blank load has basically no recoil at all.

Just shoot 9x25 Dillon

No.

Came here to say this

>Not 9x19

Fucking kike

>3. You couldn't have the mag in the grip because then you couldn't hold it unless you had hands like Wilt Chamberlain. That means either the mag is forward of the grip and you have EVEN LESS BARREL or it's bullpup and giant/unwieldy/unreliable.

>or it's bullpup

Kinda wanna see that

is there any actual evidence the gun from the movie is intended to be chambered in .223 or is it just new vegas autism?

*Fallout 2 Autism

I think it was just something they decided on for the hell of it.

If 9x25 got SAAMI Spec it'd be legit.
I mean, 357 SIG demensions are 9x22 and it's SAAMI

What's the pros/cons?

Fastest bullets out a glock, high energy/penetration, lower recoil than 10mm, cheaper reloading than 10mm, better bullet R&D over 10mm.

you're asking why nobody makes a pistol in a rifle cartridge, dumb fuck
do you forget to breathe sometimes too?

only niggers use DE now-a-days, thats the problem with making a meme gun

all this makes sense but magnum research literally makes 45-70 revolvers so I don't know what to think

Those Gucci rounds don't cost any more than generic defensive rounds and that doesn't matter if you aren't shooting mk318 at paper targets 500 rounds at a time

You must be one sick fuck to want to wound people in self defense. Just put them out of their misery for pete's sake.
>pistol chambered in 5.56
No thanks, miss me with that gay shit.

PS-01
Here you go man

Plus you could actually use bullets heavier than 147gr in the 9x25 without it being even more expensive 9x19+p which is all .357sig. Sure, grizzly loads .357Sig up to 180gr but that's a whopping 1000fps so why fucking bother

Nobody "uses" the Desert Eagle and very few people actually have. Its a novelty and yes even niggers like novelty. Good luck finding a gun they don't like

I don't remember his name but it there's a guy on YouTube who shoots incorrect calibers out of guns just to see what happens. He chambered a 5.56 in some Glock and it didn't even penetrate both sides of a milk jug full of water at like 10 feet.

how the fuck would he get 5.56 to fit into the glock

Took it apart, stuck it in the barrel and reassemble

It was in the first one as well

because its a shit round for a pistol you tosspot
small as a 22LR and needs a barrel to get velocity

>revolver
>REVOLVER

would a .223 revolver not work because of barrel length? honest question I don't know anything about ballistics

Cylinder gap is a nightmare with spitzer cartridges iirc.

Cylinder gap you shit.

having finger and trigger right on the barrier
>I swear I don't need gloves I'll be just fine

>
you would need to have custom a .223 round similar to 7.63 nagant

S T U B B Y

No, they are not. The are legally considered pistols by a retarded anti-dog agency in a single nation. That doesnt make them pistols.

7.62x39 performs about the same but that isn't what most would call "well". In the FMJ service rounds it's a rifle that wounds like a pistol. The best available modern defensive ammo makes it more like a light .30-30 load.

At least one DE was used last year:

Hmmm

Attached: IMG_8183.jpg (5472x3648, 1.79M)

Fuck off.

I think one part of Deckard's gun was the receiver from a .223 rifle and so the Fallout devs chambered it in that round.

Should have asked for .300 blackout desu

The PAR is an actual fucking pistol you can conceal carry.

I want it

The receiver was from a .222 rifle, other parts from a .44 revolver
