I don’t understand the bias against non-American revolvers. The purity of design that a revolver employs, puts me at ease when comparing different revolvers from competing countries. I’ve owned S&Ws, Rugers, Colt’s, and Taurus’ over the years. The Colt Detective was notably, buttery smooth. I really enjoyed a Taurus 605, which 5-shot .357mag, and I still own and carry a Taurus 85 (5-shot .38spl). The Rossi should be fine; search some YouTube reviews and see what you find. It usually all comes down to trigger action/feel. Good luck.
