I was going to start a strawpoll but realized how ill informed I am on Mk18s. So I'll just ask, which one is the best Mod to you and why? Mod 0 is super fucking aesthetic to me, but once it hits Mod 1 it seems like all the roads open up in all directions, if you get my meaning. I just don't see the linear progression of the design after Mod 1.

Not lately but I've dropped prices on all my sale items to encourage any potential buyers. I don't want to just buy the parts because I've put off selling these items for too long. So I'm forcing the sales to happen before I'll allow myself to buy anymore parts.

Are you dedicated to 10.3 inch? I highly suggest 11.5 but if that's not your jive I personally would do mod 0 because its aesthetic and can be had for the cheapest of all of them.

Do you guys think Ash really bought a B5 sopmod?

Should I get the black M9 bayonet or the green hilt one from S&W?

I'm a fan of both, but the Mod 0 has a lot of appeal as a setup that's doable on a budget. The Mod 1 gets a lot of props from me, though, because it's a little more customizable.

That said, I'm biased towards the Mod 1 since I own a mk18 upper from DD

I'm not chained to 10.5", just exploring ideas and options. Why 11.5"? The Mod 0 does definitely appeal to me, I'm a big fan of OIF/OEF era weapons.

Starting to sounds like I should get a decent lower and do a Mod 0, I'm enjoying buying the parts and assembly the uppers that's for sure. Technically I could pull the barrel on my 16" get a 10.3/10.5" barrel assy. and get a M4 RAS and I'm GTG after my stamp clears. Can you even get stripped Colt lowers? If I can't get that I'd rather just get a lower with no roll mark. But the PSA branded Aero lower I have on that gun now is too loose for my liking and I'm not buying into the set screw tensioner idea.

13" for a 14.5" build for now. If I ever manage to get some free time I'm going to list a bunch of stuff to sell. I'd like to put a CompM2 on the M4gery and a LVPO on this as well as a DBAL A3 and either Dead Air Sandman or Rugged Micro30. I'm debating now between a LMT, LWRC, and KAC lower.

For gaining only 1 more inch you get 40% more swell time in your barrel leading to increased reliability.

What do y'all lube your AR with? How much do you use? What parts do you lube, specifically?

I have some old-ass hoppe's gun oil that I just rub the BCG and inside of the receiver with. I'm confident it's too much because shit squirts oil out of the seam between the upper and lower receiver whenever I fire and I get little flecks of it on my shirt when I fire.

Cherry Balmz grease. Food grade grease is cheaper and will do the same things. Avoid "gun grease" because it has poisonous aerosols in 99.9% of them (hence CB).

If you live in a freedom hating land where an SBR is easy to get but supressors are totally illegal is it at all worth getting a .300blk upper? Does it out perform 5.56 out of a 10 inch barrel enough to justify buying one?

So as everyone already knows my cousins gun blew up while we were shooting about a month ago (pic related) and we quickly diagnosed it as a hot load. We got ahold of wild which stands by all their ammo and they offered to buy every round back which was cool but they said they wanted to be sure of what happened to the gun so we needed to take it to a gun Smith and have him write up a paper about it.

Our LGS has a certified AR armourer in house and he is saying that there is two projectiles in the barrel so it wasnt a hot load, it was a squib and then a follow up shot. As far as I've heard wolf is also going to replace his upper but we found out Saturday that his JUST AS GOOD(tm) vortex sparc 2 was also a victim in this so we are waiting to hear back from wolf about what the full fix is going to be.

It'll probably be LMT since I can find them locally. I'd have to order LWRC or KAC. But I like having them as alternative options.

LWRC is the nicest of the 3 with LMT being the worst ergonomically while still being full featured. KAC doesn't have ambi BHO without a ready-catch.

Those grey radian bits are pretty lame, but I do like your pistol overall.

New prices are good. 11.5" is significantly more reliable and has significantly better ballistics than 10.3" or 10.5"
But that isn't to say 10.3" or 10.5" is awful. It just isn't optimal.

Don't get another Vortex Sparc II. Those red dots suck.

Lower was fine as was the FCG. Magazine exploded causing a few small cuts on his support arm (pic related)
It was a weird experience. I had to mag dump my gun to get over the fear of my gun exploding on me. Wolf is being good on their end though.
Suggest vfg for 11.5.
As far as RDS goes he wants a t2 now.

The LWRC can usually be found for a couple hundred cheaper too and I like the aesthetics of it. Plus I've been wanting to try the LWRC stock and I've got 3 sopmod stocks already.

I think it actually looks good. Check out this image. Also the bottom line is that the DMR needs another sighting system other than the 3-9x40mm Accupower, and an offset micro red dot is what I want there.

Yeah the angled stubby. You can run it forward or reverse to play with the angle. I think BCM also did a KAG for Mlok so maybe try that. Samson supposedly makes a VFG for Mlok but it gets mixed reviews. My magpul one has been fine.

As far as I know neither KAC nor TD make an Mlok grip. Bottom line is that the Mlok accessories market still hasn't really taken off.

Get a RMR or Deltapoint if you want a small red dot to offset.

No, I meant the PRO going on your sbr would not be aesthetic. The dmr is whatever you want it to be, nothing I say will affect the outcome of it.
