Why do the Swiss make so esthetic firearms and of so good quality ? Is it because they traditionally are watchmakers ?

I mean... just look at this.
I agree their handgrenades are aesthetically pleasing.
>tfw I will never own a Sig 550, Sig 510, GHM9, APC, etc
I hate this damned country.
Because they don't need to make guns to be mass produced for war. Anyone can make nice guns if cost is no concern.
some user said that the 55X series was ugly. I didn't know how to respond
1878/81 Swiss Vetterli
First standard issue mag fed bolt action
Beautiful gun.
78_81_Vetterli bayonet
their bayos are great to
It has something to do with their armed neutrality, I'm sure.
>forgets hämmerli
Swiss law mandates that Swiss rifles have a 30 year life span so the guns are over engineered and built to high quality
>some user said that the 55X series was ugly
Some people also like to drink their shit. Every deviance can be found in the nature.
because they have top tier precision machining, they export alot of machinery and the quality of their engineering is outstanding.
Ugly I don't know, but I fail to see how a stamped steel gun with shitty welds in the 90's is supposed to be a marvel of engineering.
heavier than fuck too
>shitty welds
post picture
>I hate this damned country.
The US ?
>a stamped steel gun with shitty welds
We need proofs of that
Where can I get a 550/553?
Idk
JDI firearms
how much did you paid for it ?
>shitty welds
nigger they're computer controlled welds and are perfect.
Stamped steel was what made sense for mass production back when the gun was first envisioned (1960s w/ Beretta). Only other options would have been cast. The AR-15 was revolutionary at the time so it's impossible to fault them for not going stamped. Switzerland wouldn't go full ham into milling until later (although still way earlier than other eurofags).
Current 55Xs use milled lowers btw.
>Marvel of engineering
No one ever claimed that.
>Current 55Xs use milled lowers btw.
Would it be possible to also use a milled aluminium upper or is it incompatible with the architecture of the 55x ?
Not everything was aesthetically pleasing.
Some more than others
give me an italien gun that wouldn't please your dick
When it comes to italien stuff I prefer their women and their food.
1 years worth of chicken tendies
>Would it be possible to also use a milled aluminium upper or is it incompatible with the architecture of the 55x ?
Yes. Essentially what picrelated is.
So why don't they do it then ? It would lower the cost of the 55x and sell better.
Unf I never realized I wanted a xcr sbr until now
>So why don't they do it then ?
It would not longer be a 55x series gun. Swiss arms is literally
Also, before any butthurt swissfag tells me I don't know what I'm talking about, look at Swiss Arms location and tell me they're a self contained arms manufacturer.
Feel free to call JDI and ask them.
You mean Good Boy Points. You use GBPs to pay for tendies.
Aus
At least mutts get some Swiss guns.
>heavier than fuck too
almost no recoil, long sight, accurate, 12 round mag, beautiful simple action, easy to clean, walnut stock, takes fuck huge bayo, zero'd to 225 M, easy to mount a scope on, fun to make brass and reload for and free firing bin in the stock. Also makes most wonderful sound when elevator rises or bolt forward. Not really that heavy for me but its too heavy for my blondie
Plus you can really beat someone to death with it. First and best assault rifle. 330grain round, volley fire sighs to 1600m, beautiful action, dual lugs, strong, takes smokeless and bp, There is just too much not to love.
same the Italian vetterli is a puny 4 shot over engineered abomination, the swiss one is perfect simple beautiful 12 round side loading tube fed accurate wonder
serves you right for having a granddaddy in the nkvd and pointy shoes
So they are just relaying on stocks and assembling pieces to sell their guns ?
How did they managed to make the new SG553 SG553R and the SAN751 ? They have CNC machined lowers and the upper of the 751 is completely new and bigger than the ones of the 55x because of the caliber.
>It would not longer be a 55x series gun.
What's the problem ? They could just invest in a new gun based on the 550 but entirely CNC machined. People will buy it with pleasure especially if it costs less then the original.
>look at Swiss Arms location and tell me they're a self contained arms manufacturer
This has nothing do with their actual situation. They have always worked and produced their guns in the same building.
Just got this yesterday. Man, the Swiss know how to make aesthetic rifles
nice and they are accurate
>They have always worked and produced their guns in the same building.
No they haven't.
>Nothing to do with the situation
Nigger do you have any idea how big stamping machinery is? It literally wouldn't even fit in te building.
>553R and CNC lower
CNC machining is common af in Switzerland, you were some of the first to adopt it. It isn't nearly as intensive energy/space wise compared to stamping either.
The 553R took them nearly a decade btw. It was a shit show from start to finish that they just now got to work "properly." They're so confident in it that it's a limited run product for us too...
>751
Probably the same way they get their 55X stamping. From contracting out to Sauer.
I haven't shot it yet. Not a lot of outdoor ranges near me, and the indoor ones are all 25 yards. I don't want to make this old girl cry like that...
Postin my first raifu its a 1916 k11 comversion from an 1889. My great grandpa brought it back with him after ww2 . She's a bit beat up bit still functions beautifuly
Shooting her at dusk
My 1896/11 came with a sling from sweaty ben (pic related) It's beat to hell, and I'd rather not use it, but I do want a leather replacement sling. Any suggestions?
waffenboerse.ch
in case you live in switzerland
I'm a burger.
Bamp for Schweiz.
our women are fucking disgusting so we make beautiful guns instead
>My great grandpa brought it back with him after ww2
How did he managed to found one since there was no allied soldiers in Switzerland ?
>our women are fucking disgusting

SMOL MOUNTAIN GENETICS
smol? Are you retarded? Use English.
Yeah, well try using Swiss you mutt :DDD
Warum soll ich Deutsch bei Jow Forums sprechen? (That's probably terrible, but I'll blame the wine)
I hear the Swiss sprechen ze Deutsch with a really Jew-y accent. Any validity to that?
Absolutely no clue. I learned north German, not south German. I can't understand Bavarians, the Swiss, or Austrians.
