CC in New York

Living in Jew York, it is a pain to get a CC permit. Help me think of something that’ll fit in a (roughly) foot and a half duffel bag, that I can daily carry legally, without a CC or a tax stamp

Obviously a shockwave is the only thing that comes to mind for me, but there has to be other, more efficient options. KAL TEC maybe?

Op here. Another thing, can you buy a glock, if it’s in a Micro Roni, with a tax stamp instead of a CCP?

Why not just carry a wrench or a tire tool in said bag?

Or are we talking about guns here? I don't know or care to know Jew Yorkian weapon laws.

Yeah I was thinking a gun, I carry a fixed blade but honestly. Doesn’t feel safe enough. And Dindus carry .22s so,
I need something with a little more distance

Well what can you carry without a CC or tax stamp?

That’s what I’m asking man, I guess I’m looking for loopholes around the tax stamp thing for SBRs

you are the reason why they regulate handguns in ny. you sound so fucking stupid, do you even own firearms? do you have a father?

go purchase a Benelli or a Barreta semi auto shotgun.

if you are doing something like picking up cash and going to bank bring it with you in your car, or just take an uber discretely.

you sound like a frustrated young boy who is afraid and thinks a firearm will make him a man

>Living in Jew York
Where? In the city, or upstate? If the city, just fuhgeddaboutit. Not gonna happen.

I mean, you seem buttmad. I own firearms. Long guns tho. Tbh I’m kinda a fudd. And honestly, at some point I intend on getting a 1911 or something for my bag. But I moved to a new county and I don’t know enough people here to reference me for a CC permit (I believe it’s 8 here) I’m looking for a way to keep safe while I ride my bike home through questionable neighborhoods. It’s not an aggressive, angry or scared move. It’s a smart move. People want to hurt you. People want your hard earned stuff. You should be prepared for when other people pick you, to give them stuff. That’s pretty basic shit man. I’m not a tough guy. I’m not a soi. I’m rational.

You will never get a CC license here, fellow jew yorker. Give up.

Get a push dagger with a 3-4 inch blade. I can't remember what the limit is.

I heard modded tec 9s are pretty good

Upstate

Upstate a CC license might be possible but still not very likely. If you're in the city like me it's beyond mortal reach.

Yeah it’s like 90 bucks and 5-8 references with permits

You need the right judge, that's all there is to it. It's nice judge roulette like everything else. Totally worth it, tho.

Anything tax-stampable is outlawed in New York state. You cannot have SBR, SBS, AOW, suppressors, "assault weapons", including "assault pistols" (a Micro Roni would be classified as such under NYS law). You will still have to get a pistol license anyway and go through the same exact process as getting a CCW. Your pistol license is also doubled as your concealed carry license if you can get a licensing judge to issue you an "unrestricted license". Otherwise, your restricted license only authorizes pistol ownership in your home, but not CCW. When you file your application for a handgun license, you can check off you're also applying for concealed carry. They judge might tell you to fuck off on the carry request, but still authorize the ownership license itself (restricted license).

If you are applying in NYC, don't even bother. They WILL deny you and you will NOT get a refund. If you are applying upstate, you'll likely be approved for the license, CCW is hit and miss.

i been thinking about this too.
I think maybe carry a airsoft gun or air gun that looks like real gun and you just put it in your holster or paint all the "toy" feature black so it looks like a real gun.

since out of the 300K self defense with weapon case in 2016, only 10% of the time the victime actually fired the weapon.

Maybe if you really run into problem, you just show your weapon in the holster to them, and scare them away.Z

and carry a pepper spary or knife in case they tried to challenge you even harder.

Enjoy dying

Just look up slam fire pipe shotgun and thank le l8r.

those 270K self-defense victims lived.

It is illegal to modify an imitation firearm to look like a real firearm and carry it around in such a manner. You might as well just say fuck the law and carry a real handgun illegally.

I would definitely recommend alternative defensive weapons. Pepper spray is excellent and legal in NY. Tasers and stun-guns are unfortunately outlawed. A knife is also good for many purposes other than defense but NY knife laws were written by literal retards, so they're so confusing that even police aren't sure how to enforce them. Carry a knife at your own risk, especially if in NYC. A knife should be a last resort defensive weapon. I'd stick with the pepper spray as your primary protection.

Also look into
>defensive flashlights, high lumen 500+ lumens
>tactical pens that double as a kubotan

You need to know a guy who knows a guy to get one. Get involved in a political campaign this year. Mention wanting one to the politician if you can get to working for one directly. Otherwise, you'll have to go work for a judge or a state congresscritter.

>Carry a knife at your own risk
New York state knife law says that you can't carry any knife with the *intent* of harming someone with it. If you don't have that intent, then you're not violating the law. In practice, that means I'd carry something relatively innocuous-looking like a Kershaw Skyline instead of something with a tanto blade that looks like something out of a 80s action movie, have an excuse for having it practiced ("I've been doing a lot of breaking down boxes at work lately"), and just generally look respectable enough to not get stopped a lot.

>300K self defense with weapon

The fuck are you talking about? The U.S. hasn't even had anywhere near that many murders in a given year.

DGUs: 1.5 million/year (CDC)
Criminal Gun Uses: 500,000/year
All Gun Injuries: 73,000/year
All Gun Deaths: 38,000 (2016)
-24,000 suicides
-14,000 homicides

A 16 inch g3 variant

Give me a county, user, this shit works based off the county.

You should seriously consider looking into either a black powder revolver or a few flintlock pistols. So long as you wear a jacket you could carry upwards of 8

Honestly the revolver I’ve been thinking about. Especially if I got a replacement cylinder for the house that holds .357, I wouldn’t carry like that because I love Fido but in my nightstand I wouldn’t worry too much. But what’s the legality on carrying a loaded black powder revolver concealed?

Honestly it's really dependant on your county ALLEGEDLY Chautauqua/cattaraugus is the "easiest" to get a CCW in (although it's still a pain)

Black powder is still considered a pistol for which you need a permit under NY law. That would s, if you have any ammo for it too.

you need the context man.
300k self defence , 270k of the time the victim only pull out the gun didn 't fire it.

>NY knife laws were written by literal retards, so they're so confusing that even police aren't sure how to enforce them. Carry a knife at your own risk, especially if in NYC.
My strategy was to carry an Izula II.
It's fixed blade so no "gravity knife" bullshit.
It's got a blade under three inches so it's well under the legal limit.
It's not scary looking or tactical and its marketed purpose is wilderness utility/survival so it doesn't easily fit under the "dangerous knife" catch all.

Yet I'm fairly confident I could rip and tear with that solid stubby little fucker if push came to shove. I tell anyone that asks I carry it for utility purpose and chortle dismissively at the idea that I carry it for self defense. "How ridiculous, stop being silly look how small it is!"

>Yet I'm fairly confident I could rip and tear with that solid stubby little fucker if push came to shove.
My great grandpa killed a guy in a knife fight with a Case Barlow.

My grandma gave my brother the knife, its just a mantle piece though, one of the grips are broken, one of the blades is broken off and the other blade is stuck

THIS IS WHY knife as a self defense weapon has some problem cuz you need to slide the fucker into pieces to stop the attack. It doesn't look good on jury.

>police aren't sure how to enforce them
Police will enforce them anyway they feel like, which is how they enforce the rest of the laws.
New York is run by people smart enough to understand policing is based mostly on whim.

>foot and a half duffel bag
You need something folding for that; I don't think a sub2000 is NY legal, so maybe a folding single-shot 12-gauge?

Or consider a Shockwave in Sat-Com XL bag.

Sub2000 would be illegal because it's a magazine-fed semi-auto rifle with a pistol grip. He could carry an SU-16. Mag-fed semi-auto rifle, in rifle caliber, folds, non-"assaulty".

That's not what you said. And self defense with a gun is over 1.5 million a year.

That's my point. They don't know how to enforce the law because it's so confusing. Even if you've read the law and you assume your knife is legal by their bizarre language standards, you could very well get arrested and charged regardless. It's up to whether the cop is a fucking retard or not. NYPD cops are largely stupid when it comes to these laws and your ass is going to prison.

Police officer in new York here, you can still get charged with criminal possession of a weapon for that. I've charged two idiots with it, to be fair they were actually gang members that had several warrents

That 3" knife thing is an urban legend. The only things that really control knife laws state wide is the penal law definition of deadly weapons pl 10.00 sub 12
