>garbage bin rifle does poorly
Imagine my surprise.
>muh psa is just as good!
>poverty tier rifle performing at poverty tier levels
No way
So did it do 820 or 130 before failing
Gas tube ruptured at 130 rounds
yes
Are you illiterate?
jeepers. I got low standards.
however, my cutoff is 240. If it can't even throw a full combat load of mags without catastrophe, that's a problem
So don't buy PSA gas tubes... I go ahead and buy melonite ones. I don't know how much better they handle heat.
Aren't they supposed to be cheap tho? I mean you are getting what you pay for.
Also, on the right video, I am pretty sure he was firing full auto for like two minutes straight, and most people dont have full auto permitted lowers anyway
the MP15 upper did 820 and the PSA did only 130
>Aren't they supposed to be cheap tho? I mean you are getting what you pay for.
if thats the case its on par with price to the MP15 but it performed worse
These tests don't tell you much anyway, you'll never get full auto and if you do have the money for a full auto AR lower then you've got the money for a really good upper
Test
bad news guys ... op is a faggot. watch the video for yourself next time
>HALF AS GOOD
before i even answer, let me tell you something:
i hate the armalite system.
I'd rather have a ak-74, a k2 or even a g3, if the terrain is right. That's spoken from experience
However, if you had critical media consumption skills equal to the task of watching the video, you'd have heard about what stoner intended for his rifle:
it's cheaper to replace a steel straw than entire system.
Rifle is now a straight pull bolt action, until you make it back to the armory.
Then, rifle is back to fine.
That's how it's meant to work
....at continuous FA fire. Something that people who buy PSA guns will never do.
If they skimped out on making a quality gas tube what else did they skimp out on?
>PSA
Oh, everything except the roll mark machine.
>HALF AS GOOD AS A BUDGET WAL-MART TIER AR
How many rounds does a PSA do at a sane duty cycle? Say a couple mags at 1 shot per second, a mag dumped, repeat until failure.
I am not a dumb GI in Korea, so I'm not ever going to shoot an AR like they shot BARs
watch both videos.
The M&P is totaled, with exception of the bolt, upper and lower.
the PSA needs a gastube.
Watch the video, you'll hear the phrase "fuse of the rifle"
but if you can't interpret your own media because a simple meme already has your mind made up...
>implying people random carry extra gas tubes around with them
>competing against the low price high quality of sw mp series
>doing less than a fourth of the rounds before rupture
Predictable.
>PSA is good we swear
Can you just stop?
that would be easier than carrying a new barrel, barrel nut, handguard, gasblock and tools to use it.
like i said earlier, straightpull bolt action your way back to the armory.
Both weapons ended up screwed, but one is an easy fix.
can you refute even one point i made?
Don't forget: i'd still rather have a rifle i don't hate. (k2, ak, perhaps g3)
I'm shilling for critical thinking here, not rifles.
>failed at one fourth of the competition
>"just carry around enough extra parts to build an entirely new rifle and you'll be fine"
you need to go back and read carefully
I guess they didn't pay IraqShillVeteran1488 any money for this """"review"""".
>gas system blows up under normal pressures at the first 100 rounds
Yeah, PSA is shit. How can they fuck up so badly that one of the simplest and most common gas systems kabooms that quickly?
What, youtubers tend to be shameless shills?
Who could have thought?!
Stop bringing your logic into this.
Yeah, even in SHTF no one's going to be melting their PSAs unless they're in a static position with PILES of magazines fighting someone who wants what they have enough to throw away dozens of lives.
read for yourself. watch the video for yourself. You've been rused.
> firing full auto for two minutes
> only 120 rounds
somebody is lie-telling -- oh wait, it's OP
>the average person is never going to have to drive very fast
>the Kia Sorento is a fine vehicle
>gas system blows up before the gun can even get hot
Hm.
literally true, if you sell it after using for 3-4 years
ask me how i know you're a sheep
>gas system blows up under normal circumstances
Ask me how I know you're retarded?
400 rounds of automatic fire qualifies as normal use where you live?
oh, wait -- you got brainfucked by a meme instead of finding out for yourself. watch the video
>things that happened in real life are memes
Just admit your budget blaster isn't very good and move on with life
Are you assuming that automatic fire increases pressures to an absurd amount compared to semi automatic?
you've got a skull full of lies.
you're not strong enough to chase the truth
No, but it can heat up a metal tube to temperatures it was never intended to reach, in an application, where the consumer purchasing it would never subject it to.
I didn't think sunk cost fallacy was really a thing when the retarded rail systems you put on your school shooter specials cost more than the rifle itself but I guess you learn something every day
are you assuming that materials don't change properties after absorbing the heat of 400 explosions?
Again, one rifle needs $20 to work again.
The other needs $100 (barrel) + $50 (gasblock) + $100 (handguard)
>within a hundred rounds
Wow, if they're that out of spec that they can't even make it out of the starting gate then what do they have going for them?
even the retarded OP lists 100.
In the video, you'd see the truth -- they shoot over 400 rounds.
Am i replying to an M&P shill?
My PSA is not as good as a BCM or other brands but I have seen them work well in tests like this. Cheap ARs like PSA have poor QC that was sets it apart and the fact they make them so fast.
>even the retarded OP lists 130.
there we go
>just as good
Wew
because they make rifles out of rejected parts that failed QC from more reputable manufacturers like FN
>after absorbing the heat of 400 explosions?
Cartridges don't explode, they deflagrate.
So you mean I can't shoot my PSA on a day hotter than 100 degrees?
>Palmetto State Armory DOES NOT want you to see this picture
literally clickbait
> content disproven by the source
we fell for it. we had our opinions manipulated by a corporation posting lies
what in the fuck is fatty wearing?
Flak vest in case the rifle explodes
he already exploded
Isn't the M&P ar15 like budget tier?
that's why they're shilling so hard.
Yes, but the fact it blows a faux "milspec' rifle is quite impressive, and has poorfags reeling
it's still advertised with lies by shills though.
...are you implying 430 rounds isn't terrible?
People shilling doesn't mean it's a bad option though.
honestly? don't know; don't care.
I've hated armalites from the moment my still-in-ait-to-be-a-pog ass was given #49047 and told to love her in basic.
I'd rather have almost anything else.
But this is a shill thread full of lies. maybe 430 sucks, maybe not. IDGAF.
But let me ask you this:
What's the problem burning out at 430 when i would carry only 240 and shoot at a reasonable pace?
430 rounds is nothing.
>pog
Please stop talking.
> you have a butthole too stinky for me to penetrate without becoming uncomfortable
see, i can ad hominem, too.
can you address my argument?
That you're retarded? Yes. Very much so.
>paying for something that burns out at 1/100000000000000000000 it's expected lifetime
Again, enlisted opinions are less than worthless.
You seem to grasp my core contention, which is that the OP was founded on incorrect information.
I don't understand how shooting 240 rounds normally is going to cause a problem that only appears after 430 rounds of abusive automatic fire, but i don't care either.
If AR guys want to argue about if that's good enough, let them. IDGAF
But, the M&P shills will get no rest from me.
they posted a lie here to drum up business for their own sad product.
sauce
>abusive 430 rounds
>a whole 430 rounds
>the humanity
Congrats the barrel is hot to the touch and the garbage rifle shot itself out of alignment because it's cheaper than mexican day laborers. 430 rounds on auto is literally, to the truest definition of the word, nothing. Let me guess you were told some bullshit like the buffertube will unthread because of how jarring 5.56 is to the rifle? Surprise. It's not.
>Rifle fails an unrealistic test that literally no one here can replicate due to legal reasons and the fact it’s a test designed to make the gun fail
>Salty onions boys using this trying to justify their $2000 wall hangers/safequeens
Is this going to be the new inrangetv ak mudtest video? More importantly who cares?
look, if that's the way it is, ok fine. It's still twice what i would expect to carry in combat but i
still
don't
like
the armalite
any of them. You're making an argument appropriate for somebody who wants an AR bad enough to shell out for full-auto and the rifle.
But I don't want any of them. I just want K to start questioning shill lies
Source? Not saying you’re lying but I want a source I keep hearing this with no context
>K
Jesus, take your misguided pog notions and leave. No one wants to hear them or any other shit you want to spew out of your mouth.
oh boy he's mad that will make it even easier to railroad him into feeling good about believing lies
>49047
Did you make that number up?
>wal mart
>AR
Dumb newfag frog poster
And here I thought the rich were just being elitist when they said poor people don't deserve and shouldn't have guns for all of our sakes.
>MUH WEAPON OF WAR WILL TAKE DOWN THE GUVMENT BUT ONLY IF I CAN DESTROY TYRANNY IN LESS THEN 400 ROUNDS THROUGH THE BARREL EVER.
Why not just 3d print a plastic gun that only works for 1 shot? I mean nobody NEEDS a metal gun that you can shoot more then once that's just for rich snobs to put in museums.
WASR only made it 265 rounds. Faggots.
good thing I have VEPR's
Time to pack it away Gatling knew years ago that you can't shoot very fast with 1 barrel. Multiple barrels or go home.
youtube.com
>lemons cant happen: the post
while the test is synthetic, unrealistic and designed to destroy the rifle it has a purpose, since it does show what fails first, which component is the worst. after the test you know that by replacing this part with a better one, you'll get more reliable weapon which is still quite cheap.
did no one here actually watch the video? he explains how the gas tube is the first thing you want to fail. and that it was the first time in conducting that test that the gas tube was the first to go. rifle is fine.
this. rifle is fine. kinda works now, easy to fix right.
just like stoner designed it
You don't need to unless your planning on shooting multiple hundreds of rounds in succession.
The gas tube is the weakest point on the AR design when it comes to that. You have all that hot gas going through a thin metal tube. It's going to break at some point inevitably when it heats up too much. It's not like literally every other military rifle where there's a big piston tube to absorb all the heat.
If the gas tube failed because of heat, then it's pretty damn unlikely that that will be the failure mode in a semi-auto AR, ie the vast majority of the market.
No way, the basic failure point of high f/a broke like Stoner intended? Replacement of a $10 part is stupid instead of new upper.
PSA or not, there are going to be parts that get past QC due to the nature of manfacturing
dumb dumb frogposter poster
and that's an M4 profile. Get a 16" melonite or nitride midlength upper when they go on sale for $150-160. Throw in your choice of bolt and lower, it'll put less stress and wear on parts
I've read the whole thread and I just want to tell you that you're correct about everything
I’m sure Stoner never intended for it to fail prematurely
>400 rounds
>any appreciable amount of heat
Nigger I've had harbor freight zip ties last longer on an engine block than that fucking gas tube.
do you fire off ten magazines on full auto within the space of a 5-10 minutes? I'm no expert in modern combat or even the ar-15 but that sounds like the sort of thing a scared conscript might do. or a machine gunner who is trying to suppress a target long enough for CAS/artillery to get close and fuck them.
No, but when one fails at 1/4 the round count of a cheap budget rifle doesn't give me confidence, especially with everything that has come out about PSA's sourcing of non-conforming parts
And?
WASRs are the AR equivalent to PSA.
They are garbage and everyone knows it, but their owners endlessly cry "but I've never had any problems with mine!"
>ten magazines on full auto
the gun did that fine.
^_^
Holy fuck seriously?
Someone should file a lawsuit, 400 rounds before the guns catastrophically fails is the definition of unacceptable, anyone could buy a 1000 round box of ammo and fucking die just for a normal day at the range.
Companies that do this shit deserve to die, anyone here a lawyer? We have a legitimate case here.
the chart needs to make a comeback desu
