The gunsmithing series they did was pretty great for new comers as well as experienced people . The vids they do to single a gun and tell its history are pretty nice, though he is a bit monotone until something goes boom.

The issue with IV1488 is that he uses his own poor shooting abilities as the best-case benchmark for how accurate/ergonomic/easy to use a given gun is and passing that personal experience off as objective fact rather than actually doing any research or getting second opinions.

Also, he does basically zero research on the guns he shoots. Case in point: his AR-7 review. Everyone who owns an AR-7 knows that they're picky about ammo even by the standards of semiauto .22s, - they run fine with top-shelf stuff like Mini-Mags or Winchester Super-X, but will choke constantly on cheapshit bulk ammo. This is not exactly a secret about this gun. So what does he do? He feeds it cheapshit bulk ammo on camera and seems surprised when it malfunctions constantly. This could have been avoided with 15 minutes worth of time with Google looking up common experiences with this gun. He just couldn't be bothered.
