This is patently false. That said, there's huge parts of WWII that have been completely ignored. I don't think I've seen a single WWII FPS that touches on China, Ethiopia, colonies under Vichy rule, etc.

No it isn't. CoD3 had a Polish tank crew campaign, that's as obscure as it gets. I can think of one game in the history of WWII games featuring a soldier from my country, he was an NPC for one level.
