No standardization, parts are ad-hoc repurposed from AR-15 parts, and many are made by shitty companies. Eg, compare an MP10 to a KAC mk110.

Why is it he only has good things to say about ARs? His PTR 91 review is laughably horrible and extremely biased. He uses 1 single gun, when there are several different models. He obviously didn't do any research on the gun, just shot the one a gun shop loaned him. Then he shits on all PTR 91s for the whole video. He says the stocks suck, because the one he had cracked, without knowing they use surplus stocks. He complains about the accuracy, even though it's in line with most combat rifles. Then he says AR 10 would be a better option, pointing out options you'd see on a much more expensive rifle.

He does all this without pointing out that you can upgrade a PTR like an AR 10, even make it a PSG1 clone. He says he does honest reviews. He is either being dishonest about his review or is completely ignorant of what he is reviewing. Either way he shouldn't be taken seriously. I find it funny other reviewers of the PTR have good things to say about it, but he doesn't. Every gun has flaws but also has good points. A reviewer that can't find any good things to say is shit at reviews, apparently that's his thing. He's been criticized for being a shill for a long time.

He is heavily biased towards AR's that is for sure. But what gets me is his completely delusional thought process, shit like trying to shill for the FNAR as a "anti-pirate gun" is really laughable as he lives in a landlocked state

The criteria for a good AR has been long established and a decent duty rifle is not that expensive if you have a steady middle class job. With the Ar-10 you are either spending 3k on a duty class gun or are stuck in plinkerville

Most reviewers are smart enough to know a sample size of one doesn't mean all the guns are the same, and also know there are different models. Nutn didn't give any clue or say that there are other models. He says all the stocks are shit, not just the one he experienced. He didn't even buy the gun he used, but borrowed it from a gun shop, probably in an attempt to give them publicity.

I just watched the video. He ran 1400 rounds through it in a day and it had 3 malfunctions. An FTF from it being shitty tula, a split case from in being shitty tula, and a stovepipe. He actually remarked that it was the first AR-10 he's had that's basically ran the whole day. He did remark that it's overgassed though and only a 2MOA rifle at best, 3.5MOA with Tula. He did say he wouldn't buy the rifle himself though because at 0-400 yards he'd rather have something in an intermediate cartridge and beyond that its accuracy becomes a detriment, being only minute of man. Honestly the most damning thing he's said about the rifle is that shit's coming loose on it, the comp is unscrewing itself, as well as the gas block, and the ambi safety is a bit loose.

He was testing the rifle from the perspective of a battle rifle rather than a marksman's rifle. He was comparing it in usage to something in an intermediate cartridge and asking whether it was able to fulfill that role. You can argue whether that's a valid way to test the rifle but you can't claim that a dynamic course with varied targets and shooting positions is dirt shooting.

That has alot to do with ammo. I was getting 1 MOA groups with Hornady TAP out of a M1A scout. Also depends of build as a AR-10 with a heavy SS bull barrel built for precision shooting won't be the same as one with a battle rifle build

The problem is that nutnfancy has weird extremely subjective criteria for how he likes or dislikes stuff and that he fails to see that he is only dealing with a sample size of 1. He also doesn't seem to put that many rounds through particular guns because he swaps so frequently but that's true of many other gun channels with big viewership.
