I spent a decent amount of time training with RF forces proper.I've also interacted with them through the FFL, which is predominantly Eastern Euros, and Asians, to include Russians. Nothing about how those forces operate is conducive to someone that is accustomed to the west in the slightest. They've violent, primitive leadership structures that are brutal and unforgiving, literal prison rules in some cases.

Even then, why wouldn't he just drive to Windsor and set up a meeting with a US recruitment office? That way, once he got out, he could be put on the short list for for a green card and get some nice veteran benefits. Plus: no hazing, decent NCOs, and 90% less Hepatitis.
