Would it be retarded for me to wear a riggers belt with my holster and pouches on it outside of my belt loops but over a normal pants belt? Or would a battle belt be a better solution?

yes

Why not just ditch the normal belt and loop the riggers?

Not him but fuck looping all that shit

I'm looking to get a back pack. Nothing huge. Maybe a 72 hour pack as well as a smaller pack that I can where with my plate carrier for hydration and a couple small things. For the larger pack would a trizip ve a bad idea? I like how easy it is to get into. Anyone have experience with one?

Because a 1.75 inch riggers doesn't fit in any of my pant loops besides for bdu and ""tactical"" pants. Plus what
said. Fuck looping everything every time you go to shoot

I had an idea.

Varusteleka makes these little innacity backpacks out of milsurp that doesn't sell. I want to buy one and replace the sleeping pad stiffener with a plate. Wear the backpack on your chest, cross the straps into a harness and you have a plate vest.

Attached: backpack.jpg (900x2465, 602K)

That sounds fucking retarded

i mean just get a slim plate carrier, it would be better in every way

>Would it be retarded for me to wear a riggers belt with my holster and pouches on it outside of my belt loops?
If the riggers belt has a stiffener layer then this would only be semi-retarded.

that has to be cringiest hipster style of backpack I have ever seen.

They might as well call it the birth control pack

Anyone got Fist Spear Multimags? Looking for a review. Interested in how the retention compares to Esstac KYWI, how easy it is to reload them (stick a fresh mag in), and how well they work with AR10 mags. Thanks!

> I can where with my plate carrier for hydration and a couple small things
For that just get an actual back of carrier pack. These are what I would recommend:
optactical.com/maasbapaty1.html
tacticalassaultgearstore.com/mini-combat-sustainment-pack.html
optactical.com/twnemimapmoa.html
optactical.com/ararcoxiipa.html

With that sort of setup a lot of dudes are then concerned about how they would do LRRP or vehicle borne ops. The answer is to simply have a second carrier setup with a slick back.

Anyone have good suggestions on a belt mounted dump pouch?

burlap sack

What's a good fanny pack to carry a G19 while biking that isn't going to chafe the shit out of me

I'm actually kinda tempted to get a pair of these. I already have some Crye pads I use in G3 knockoffs. But these look like they'd be awesome for my needs at my price point. Hmmmm....

>mfw a2 is too weak to fully insert his mags in the ten speeds

What about the trizip? Any experience with these?

Can someone recommend me some kneepads that go good with a Gorka 4 and ZSH12m? These are my suit trousers
Of course looking for proper function foremost but would prefer they match at least slightly

Attached: IMG_4306 copy-1000x1000.jpg (1000x1000, 95K)

As far as external kneepads go, arcteryx's are hard to beat

What about these SPLAV pads? I really like the look.

Attached: 389_0.jpg (580x580, 63K)

Not much money down the drain if they are not good, might as well try them and report back.

Bulky, uncomfortable, and will slip down. Go with arcteryx knee caps

Rate?

Attached: Gear.jpg (1063x598, 178K)

Good for when you need to "surrender" and have a lot of making up to do.

I'll take my chances, arcteryx are just too ugly for me. They remind me of knee pads I had as a kid.
>inb4 hurr durr I thought you wanted something that performs well hurr durr function > looks don't you know that
I'd rather not hate the way I look.

I dont understand why you're asking, if youre gonna dismiss the best options for what look best, then you may as well go for whatever you like, its subjective opinion vs objective opinion.

>milsurp
>wearing a backpack instead of a plate carrier
>wearing a plate carrier at all if you don't work a job where shooting people and getting shot at is normal

Attached: Capture.png (501x369, 376K)

Gonna post my updated AAC soon, with the few changes it has had.

Attached: 20180422_012054.jpg (3385x1120, 2M)

What do you suggest OTHER than arcteryx?

Best leatherman/multitool? Money not an issue.

nothing you pleb.

They're absolutely terrible and arcteryx is the only way to go for external kneepads.

Ahh, I see you didn't actually want our advice and only wanted us to validate your garbage choice.

Exactly. I've had this exact same fucking conversation 3 or 4 times here and it goes just like this. This time was the least amount of sperg, though.

Only sperg here is you who keep seeking the same validation for your bad choice

Main upgrades will be the TQ switched out with the FirstSpear Rapid Access Pocket, Pressure Dressing.
Lancers and Jugg case painted better
Also some other stuff

Attached: 20180521_203303.jpg (1119x3218, 2.24M)

>no plate carrier
>no helmet
>tiny camelback
>no belt
>no armor whatsoever
>no radio
>no first aid
I'll give you benefit of the doubt and assume you own hearing protection, a holster, some sort of boot, and something to cover your hands, but really unless the fight is taken to your neighborhood you're dangerously under prepared for almost anything.

>arcteryx looks like it’s for kids
>my big ass roller derby kneepads look so much cooler

Poverty/10

Not terrible but absolutely nothing good either.

youre a braver man than I posting your shit here.

>people keep telling me the same thing over and over
>they all must be wrong

stop being poor

Attached: DdAx4HmV4AEPDsP.png (875x639, 392K)

I kinda wanna do this and give it to my 14yo daughter.

That's a lot of weight, but I will say I have another pack, I can easily bottle my water and focus on first aid. Not sure if you mean a crank radio or walkie-talkie so I can listen to other people be spergs, or both.
Armor won't do me much good, if I'm spotted and shot at chances are they know they outgun me or they got the drop on my anyway.
I try to save money.
Backhanded complement, but thanks I guess.

maybe ill post my psa ar with a shoe lace on the fsp later tonight.

I meant shit as in stuff not that its shit. I like the Chia-com look. for what its worth.

For Slavic knee pad, any type of X shape knee pad would do.

You asked us to rate your gear in a gear queer thread. You have $30 worth of gear.

Attached: 289CE233-4D78-4A5D-AB18-D74B5AD5CB0D.jpg (2483x3951, 2.22M)

Some gear is unnecessary. I have motorcycle riding jeans, I put layers of neoprene that go from the shin to just above the knee that are more comfortable, don't slip like pads, are more maneuverable, and I can still slam on the ground with them (I have while offroading).

Regular hiking shoes that go above the ankle are in all ways better than combat boots for 99% of what you'll do. Mine are even waterproof as well.

Radio and first aid I definitely get, in fact I have a makeshift first aid kit I take with me out hiking that I completely forgot about for the pic. At least, a handheld emergency crank radio so I can listen to emergency broadcasts. Never even thought of it. Hearing protection is just a couple ear plugs, anything more is retarded come on now.

The rest, being the armor, belt, plate carrier, etc. I just find to be extra weight. If you've ever gone hiking, and I mean really taking a 3 day trip in the mountains with 12 hours+ of walking a day, you'd know weight preservation is probably the most important thing ever. I don't find carrying an extra 15lbs worth of stuff to be in my best interest personally, but if it suits you then more power to you.

Does anyone have that picture of the ultimate gear queer dude decked out in like 10 grand worth of multicam kit with a Benelli M4, SCAR 17s, and pointing an FNX-45 at the camera?

It was used for the GQ cover picture a few times

Ok poorfag

MidwayUSA dump pouch.

cute :3

Attached: Glitch-GLITCH_20180521221107.jpg (1128x2388, 538K)

This guy gets it. Most people itt don't know shit about the gear they're using, and think you need to dress up like a soldier larp when in reality there are more effective, more comfortable alternatives that people who actually know shit about gear already know about.

I bet your riding jeans don't make your look like a LARPer either. Best of both worlds, I have some scorpions I use on rides and they're amazing.

Warrior chest rig. Only 2 cons to it really

- Quick Release zip gets fucked quick
- Better off going for the open top mag pouches as these ones sag over time

Virtus helmet, shit my standards.

Attached: rig.jpg (3264x1836, 2.95M)

Or that you do know shit about the gear you're using and have money so you buy nicer gear. Why bother with jeans when I can wear comfy lightweight stretch pants that have high abrasion resistance.

any particular reason? im also in a market for dump pouch

Are you implying motorcycle riding gear would not have high abrasion resistance?

i was using the tactical tailor for a while but since i switched to running my ifak independent of my belt i wanted something that takes up less. just order the bfg ten speed since it takes up less space on the belt. i would recommend the tac tailor one if the size doesnt matter

Did you read anything else in that post or are you illiterate?
I'm implying that riding jeans are mediocre and alternatives that include "dress up like a soldier" are much more effective. I'm all for not buying stupid shit and using other outdoor gear as an alternative (although the two "markets" usually coincide) but claiming riding jeans are better or more comfortable than modern lightweight pants or a proper combat/field set is retarded.

I’m just looking forward to this nigga thinking he’s in pubg running around in his tactical ass sport bike shit thinking he’s better off than wearing crye combats

Suggestions for good combat pants/shirt?

Wanted to get a set from crye precision but they're so god damned expensive. Any other companies of similar quality for a better price? I don't mind spending a couple hundred bucks but I'm not trying to spend +$400 for a shirt and pants.

I just want them to be sturdy and have elbow/knee pads.

Just get a velcro 2 piece belt

get a nomex flight suit instead.

That's not a terrible idea, but it doesn't look like they have elbow/knee pads. Plus, I like the velcro and abundance of pockets on the typical combat shirt/pants.

They're all pretty close in price if not more, you can try your luck on the Crye closeout and hope they have ACs your size, although you should downsize unless you like baggy pants.

Is it weird that whenever I get new stuff that has paracord zipper pulls and similar on them I untie the fugly half knots manufacturers always use to tie the ends together and replace it with something more aesthetic?

Attached: WP_20180521_002.jpg (2688x1520, 1.06M)

So what's going to be done with all the mountains of UCP gear the army is going to be getting rid of over the next decade? Will they just burn it? I can't see it selling too well on the surplus market. I'm sure it's quality gear for the money, but the pattern is just terrible.

How well does it take dye? Anyone ever tried it?

Attached: 15b7e273638f568fde7ff16a0fe0afcf[1].jpg (713x683, 91K)

They originally said they were going to overdye it, but that hasn’t happened yet

not well

There are plenty of pics of people dyeing it. It looks ok, of course it still has the pattern. Best ones I’ve seen are dyeing it brown. I think you are supposed to use a poly dye or a nylon dye, instead of regualar rit.

They had us spray paint a set of ACUs in the recon section I was in. Worked pretty well.

>tfw your First Sergeant tells you to rattlecan the uniform your army issued you so you don’t get shot

Attached: 89605897-DDC9-44DE-AC53-70592B763A23.gif (500x500, 2.26M)

Yeah, I really doubt that’s going to happen. The army will just spend more money on new shit.

It’s a little stiff with spray paint but with some sweat and wear it loosens up.

I’m sure there is a big market for it. Plus all the National Guard and friendly foreign militaries who have literally no gear will be glad to get it.

Attached: 8FB7680C-AD1F-4A7A-950B-73921309C170.jpg (2048x1785, 715K)

No, I tend to do the same with my FirstSpear and sometimes Arcteryx stuff

It's a start my guy

>motorcycle pants dont breath as well as 99% of BDUs and/or modern combat pants
>neoprene pads to the knee nigga
>who even gives a shit about footwear I walk 15+ miles in a warehouse daily and wear slip on dress shoes
>radio to talk to people unless you plan on being out by yourself in which case people with radios will murder you
>first aid for both common injuries and ballistic injuries are criticial, moreso ballistic because bullets can kill you
>store bought earplugs can only be reused so many times before they are ineffective or a bacteria orgy
>no armor, see: "bullets can kill you" as stated above
>muh weight requirements that I definitely cannot overcome with proper cardio and exercise

Please leave /out/fag

>crye closeout
More details? Wut?

goddamn you are behind the times

So since I usually wear 30R, would 28R fit me?

Thank you for the link!

Whats the difference between AC and AC FR?

ones FR and the other isnt.

Attached: 1358851512597.png (400x271, 138K)

fr are fire resistant and have multicam stretch

Everybody starts somewhere, that's basically what I had when I started, except with a strike-hard gear chest rig, same guns though.

much appreciated user

FR's also wear out and fade faster

Use the crye size chart. If that is your crye size then no.

anyone know a good hooded thumbhole fleece jacket?
all i've found so far is 3 star stuff on amazon.

Anyone got a review on the First Spear Multimags? I'm especially interested in how they work with AR10/SR25 magazines. How does the retention and speed of draw compare to an ESSTAC KYWI? Is it easy to put the mag back in the pouch like it is with a KYWI?

Also I just bought two BFG SR25 Ten Speed double mag pouches. Going to be building a DMR/BR .308 chest rig.

Don't know if you're into hoodies but I bought this about six months ago and it's served me pretty well considering. I wore it through the winter over my thermal layers as part of my rescue uniform. Dont care much for really any of the pockets, they all kinda suck. Took the zipper pulls off too because they got caught on everything.

broski you have asked twice in this thread alone, fuck off.

Looking again at the page, I did not pay 40 bucks. I must have caught it on sale, I wouldn't say it's worth 40 bucks.

Yeah but does anyone know about the first spear multimags?

Real talk

whats wrong with esstac? theyve worked fine for me and i see no reason to switch

Nothing wrong with Esstac. I love my KYWIs. In fact if I had unlimited funds I would build two different belt setups, both with KYWIs, one for 5.56 and one for .308, but I can't afford a whole second belt setup. So I'm looking for a universal type mag pouch with fast draw and fast reinsert capability like the Esstac KYWI but that will work equally well with 5.56 AR mags as it will with 7.62 AR10 and 17S mags.
