OP pic reminded me of a question I had been meaning to ask. What's the length of a 74 style brake? If I were to get an Arsenal 104/6/7-CR, cut the barrel down, then pin and weld a 74 style brake onto it, would the barrel length be over 16" or not?

How noticeable is the weight difference between a yugo and regular milled akms? Also how hard is it to find good furniture and extras that will fit?
Been seeing a lot of the century built ones for super cheap and I might want in on it

too short you’ll either need the one that Arsenal puts on the cr models or the extendo 4 piece cnc warrior makes

also you if you plan on doing the gas block yourself you have to use a legit russian one for a sgl or a bulgaria one for the slr, the barrel dimensions are different so can’t mix and match

Anyone want to explain exactly what is considered an Arm Brace for a Pistol AK? It seems I cant find a solid answer anywhere and I want to know before deciding if I should build a fullsize or a pistol.

You are going to have to drill it and completely re rivet it. The neck of the rivet swelled when you pressed it, I doubt youll be able to get it to seat properly

Atlantic just got a shipment of stuff from WBP so I would guess they are building guns right now, shouldn’t be too long before they have some to sell.

They're lever folders, which is why they're so cheap.

Imo romy push buttons are the best due to the offset position of the stock. Those tend to run $150+. For 85 you can have a fielded folding stock that drops into fixed trunions and add a riser if needed.

I'm not talking about the booster (though that's what was in the picture I posted), I was referring to the 74 style brake like pic related. The gun in the middle of OP's picture looks like it might be 16", but I can't tell. Iirc, up to the threads is 12.5 inches, and I would be pinning and welding onto that, but I'm not sure I'd get to 16" total barrel length with that.
As for building, I don't plan on converting a SLR or SGL. I'd likely just be buying one and getting the barrel cut down, provided what I'm thinking of meets the legal requirements.

Will a Bulgarian full auto Fire Control Group work in my SLR-107? What about in my FM-AK47-11 vepr?

opinions on the zastava m77 i got 4 back when they first hit the market ($549 a pop).

Overall i am satisfied with it i occasionally have a fail to feed one a specific mag/rifle combo looking at either one i cant see any differences in quality or any manufacture defects. and i learned the hard way to not use cheap m14 mags for making my 19round conversions.

The rate reducer will do nothing to prevent/reduce tail deformation. Your tail is softer than your hammer.
It is also not necessary to prevent a kaboom because if the hammer should fall before the bolt is in battery (possible in a full auto AK without the rate reducer), it will hit the tail and prevent the gun from firing.

Won’t work unless your bolt has pic related (it trips the release)
