Its low enough to be better jumping onto running/moving targets. But its not high enough for concealed targets or any sort of long range observation. If you are shooting at movement/shapes at distance its fine but positive ID? ehhhh maybe maybe not.

For .308 16" in a more DMR role I would consider a 2.5-10 or something with atleast a 9x.

Please try and hit a running target past 400 in feild conditions
