Lets Git Some Lever-Fun in here

Been seeing that the AR Cult is running a muck again, time for some purging of their heathenous attitude. Show me some of your lever-gats or ones that you want to own, or just in general what you like.

Jap BLR .308 and a Glenfield .30-30, wanting a leverfun in .444 though.

I like my 16" Rossi in .357 Magnum.

If I were to buy another levergun, I'd look for a Winchester 1894 or a JM Marlin 336.

If Rossi ever makes their .454 Casull 92 again, I'd definitely like one of those.

is that the lever action mosin nagant?
I cant believe those were so mass produced out of all of them and yet somehow all of these are gone completely

Savage 1899 I was restoring.

The shiz-nit is to find a "pre-mil" one in .308 Winchester

Why does the Win94 suck so much in PUBG? I want to like this gun but it's useless >:(

Attached: 1528896900621.png (750x1334, 1.26M)

Because its pubg
Videogames arent analogous to real life

Three of the guns on my list of shit to buy are an Uberti 1866 (in .38 Special with a matching 1858 conversion), an original 1873 in .44-40, and a Russian contract 1895.

Plus my pappy's pre-'64 Model 94.

>1895s will never come back into production

Marlin Model '97 made about 1920, forerunner of the Model 39A

.308 Henry Long Ranger with back-up iron sites, Burris 4.5-14x scope with parallax correction, and Rhodesian sling.

you think you could hold your own with a lever gun against someone with an AK?

They've been in production for the last ~30 years.

>running a muck again
Weep for the future. It's "run amok."

Henry Mares Leg sbr - most likely next purchase

A rifleman with a lever action in the woods will beat an idiot with an AK in the woods. Hell, in the middle of a freshly cut lawn they probably would too. All other things being equal, obviously full auto has an advantage, but if a man is carrying a lever he is either a fudd or knows what the fuck hes doing. If he is carrying an AK he could be fuckin anybody, even an actual 5 year old.

Yes because that dumb ass with the AK dropped his rifle in the mud, never cleaned it an when it jams i'm going to laugh.
But the AK is best it never jams, will be his last thought.

My pre 1964 winchester model 94 I got from my grandpa
Its my favorite to shoot

Only pic I have of it is alongside my other guns

Mothafucka do I see the king of kings shotgun. The Model 12?

My 1920s Marlin 39 is the only levergun I have right now. I had a win 94 but I didn't like it much. I want to get a marlin 336 next, not sure if I want a new it classic one.

Ayyyy

Is the Winchester 1886 really worth the extra cash over a Marlin 1895?

Are there any lever guns currently on the market in .357 magnum with a loading gate?

Marlin just ramped up qc and retooled the 94.

Supposedly it fixes the previous issues

Getting older enjoying shooting more with ears off

Is it too soon to buy now?

I actually love this.

No. There was a production lapse. Any new marlin 94 in 357 should be new one.

To my knowledge they are better than the old remshits

Uberti, Chiappa, Winchester, and Rossi all make versions of the 1873 and/or 1892 in .357 Magnum.

Post your's, Summer.

They aren't gone, they're just scattered around eastern Europe, most of them were sporterized and rechambered to fit local hunting regulations and many are still in use so not many never ended back in 'merica. In Finland Winchester 1895 is probably the most common early-1900's rifle after Mosin-Nagant variants and maybe Swedish Mausers.

Meme'ing all the time just makes you sound like a retard. If you can't express yourself in any other way, say nothing at all.

>If you can't express yourself in any other way, say nothing at all.

You can't fight memes with boomerspeak, gramps. Get one of your wife's grandkids to help you.

Hard pass

Fucking boomers

Should I try making something like pic related?

Would be neat

Enough rails on top for a train yard. Useless fat handguard adds needless bulk, defeats the purpose of a nice slim profile levergun.

I like levers. They're well-balanced and very easy to carry around for long periods.

my lgs had one

I'm (hopefully) going to do a comic at some point, and the story involves a lever-action shotgun in at least one chapter (because there's time-travel involved and it kinda needs to be obvious what period is indicated).
Are there any I should look at besides the Win 1901, considering the context will make most sense with smokeless ammo?

Sporterized Mosin?

How are the barrels attached on those? Is there a barrel nut like their bolt action or is it pressed in?

Sadly, the only other period lever action shotgun is the .410 shotgun made by Marlin starting 1929; the low sales of the Depression quickly ended its production.

Do remember that the 1901 will be, if unmodified, a 32" barreled hunting gun. Too often, the movies use 20" modern replicas, which would have to be sawed off (looking at you, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot!).

winchester 1887 my dudes.

like THE lever action shotgun. plenty have been chambered in smokeless

Yeah I'll remember the barrel.
I prefer the look of long barrels anyway (no homo)

1901 was basically the '87, but made stronger for smokeless.

Absolute unit

Uberti 1873 Winchester in 44-40
10+1
So smooth I can't believe it's not butter
I want something to replace my buckhorn sights but can't commit to it
Traded a windham preban bushmaster for this levergat and I've never looked back, especially since I only paid 600$ for the bushie and this lever was brand new and worth 1000$ the guy just wanted to larp with an AR so bad he let go of his dead fathers pass down. Idiot.
