I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that using something like a crossbow in self defence wouldn't go down well in court, even if you had a "good reason" for owning it. What's worse is that I'm definitely in the minority of British people that support the 2nd amendment; nearly everyone I know is very anti gun.
