Only $399.99 for a 91/30 user. Milsurp bolt actions have no place outside collecting, get a decent AR-15 for $500 for SHTF

I got mine for 220 a few months ago

I got mine for $80 on Aim Surplus yesterday

But can you even get ammo anymore?

Imagine spending more than 100$ on a mosin

Yes. You can still buy surplus ammo but it's not a very good price, you're best off going with wolf/tula as it's non corrosive, about 50 cpr if you buy bulk. A huge amount of mosins were manufactured and other guns use the 7.62x54r cartridge so it wouldn't make sense if you couldn't find any

Right? I've got a few from Cabellas, I think they were less than $120 to include tax.

You're paying the Cabela's tax dude

At 50 cpr I’d rather get a 308 bolt action for $300 that can actually shoot MOA

Well fuck me running. I got into 7.x62x54r, 91/30, m44, and m38s when they were cheap cause all I could get as uni stuent back in 2003-2005. Unloaded everything a year ago when I saw I could switch to PTR91, FAL, CETME, and not bottom shelf 308 winchester was same price as bottom shelf 7.62x54r.

Three mosins or a new PTR91/FAL? Something just seemed wrong to keep the Mosins.

That 308 bolt action didn't cost $100 a decade ago and was never used by the russians to fight a world war.

Ok sure

Tell me that’s bullshit

A decade ago no, it didn’t, but in July 2018 a Ruger American/savage axis is a better rifle for actual use. History/collecting is the only niche a 300+ mosin fits into

You can very easily find them at $200-250
$150 if you look around
Stop being a retard

>tfw you just want a bolt-action with iron sights but a Mosin is all you can get

Probably not. If it is an original 1891 and not redone to a 91/30 configuration alongside which factory did it.... could be rare enough for a collector to dish out that much just to complete a collection.

>tfw I let mine go for 125 right before they started going up in value

This how most gun stores here in California treat milsurp bolt action guns where I live and most of the time they’re not close to that condition but I was close to buying a same model rifle that the dude that killed JFK mainly because it was priced at $265 and it was in ok condition

Doesn't mean they're worth buying anymore though outside of collectors. They're pretty bad shooters and ammo is disappearing. There's not a compelling objective argument (price/performance) to own one like there used to be.

I got mine for 50 bucks at a gunshot it was missing a price that I got online for 30 bucks

Sure buddy

>>Only $399.99 for a 91/30

Hah! $100, tops.
They aren't worth more than that

Not all mosins are your 1943 Izzy 91/30.

And yet they sell for more.
Really makes you think...

>still have the T53 and a crate of ammo I picked up for $300 total back in 2014

feels good man
