6.5 creed I'm using the Hornady precision hunter. They shoot the best of all ammo tried. Need to get my hands on he new drt rounds in 6.5. For the most part I use an electronic call and just put out the sound of prey animals in distress but you have to feel it out and pay attention to your surroundings. If your calling with distessed critter noices are you getting the attention of the local raptors? Are bunnies looking around acting skittish? If so your calling right If not change things up. Elec calls are stupid simple but you can screw it up with one by being to mush or to little of just about everything. You have to feel how the world around you is reacting to your calls.

That's the 143 grain ELDX right? ELDX is built for penetrating game animals. I'd embrace the corelokts on an autoloader too for I know theyre cheap but well proven close range killers. It sounds like you got kind of the ideal loads on both rifles to me.
I tried to get 160 grain Noslers and 162 ELDX to work in my 7rm but had no luck with h1000. Finally tried ELDM just so that I could have something long range to shoot out of it and it loves it. I think they're to fragile for big game though.

It's a bunch of simple lessons things that are very hard to describe through word or text. You're best following by example.
Also, the hardest part for new people is something you'll have to teach your eyes: spotting animals. Once you have an eye for it you can spot anything you'd know the silhouette or movement type of. Even through brush at a distance is doable. Sound can help too. I learned with a pellet gun by myself when I was a little kid going after birds and chipmunk

No, its simple I dont know why are making it out to be something that requires specialized training or hours of learning.
Step 1) find/rent land that allows hunting
step 2) slowly walk out into the woods
step 3) sit down next to a tree making sure that you have a clear line of fire and nobody is at risk of being shot
step 4) wait
step 5) shoot (presumably hit) haul, gut, and done.
