I take my wife shooting occasionally. She's actually really decent to shoot with because she is naturally very cautious, enough to make her very deliberate and careful with everything she does around a firearm. She only shoots once every few months or less, so she never really progresses past the point of being able to hit a 12" plate at 10 yards with a pistol with most shots. I wish she would come shoot with me more, but I can tell she doesn't really like it enough to practice with any decent frequency. She also doesn't really seem to have any motivation to want to carry a gun herself, and I really wish she would because she's tiny and has absolutely no ability to defend herself without one. I wish I could make her get into this more, but I can't force her to.
