APX have RDO versions, which is basically just the APX version of MOS. And you can even get mounts for non RDO slides that replaces the rear sight. A lot of people don't care, but Beretta actually has a pretty great factory aftermarket support for the APX and PX4.

SAO is easier to shoot, just need to remove the safety first. DA/SA has a different trigger pull from first to subsequent shots. Basically striker guns have consistent trigger pull shot to shot at without the need for a manual safety and the trigger weight of these 1.5-action guns is somewhere in between single and double action.
