He's not the sharpest tool in the shed by any means... Maybe a BATFAG will drop in and tell us if this is the worst possible assignment one can get.

>We save as a.... JPEG? JPEG? I don't know.

He got distracted...

they never thought to digitize all that crap?
maybe add in ctrl+f?
guess if they did over half those fags would get laid off from their 'pressing the down arrow key' job

Thank the NRA...they traded being able to add new machineguns to the registry for a law that says the feds can't create a database of gun purchases. I'd rather have machineguns myself...THey can know I have them but they still would have to come get them and well...BELTFED...

they already have the documents though
they showed thousands in the video
where's the harm in automating the process and having less ATF in the world?

>Where's the harm in making it easier for the ATF to fuck people?

>showing news coverage of school shootings like it all depends on those guys to find out who did it
10 out of 10 times the police will find the gunman dead, kill him, or arrest them without ATF help at all

Registration is the stepping stone to confiscation.

how is it registration?
I'm talking about the documents they already have

Yes but they can't be easily searched, indexed or cross-referenced. I think it's all a sham and we already have a defacto registration but that's the theory behind why the system is the way it is now.

I missed the part where they said there all transaction documents
so I guess we all ready have a national gun registry

they're legally only allowed to keep them for I think 11 months. But they obviously keep them for longer

OHHH A SNARKY DOCUMENTARY WITH HIPSTER ASS CAMERA WORK AND SONGS WITH WHISTLING AND SHIT

Guys pack it in, the 2nd Amendment is over. We've been snarked

And you're dumb if you think the info called in for the background check isn't logged somewhere..

L O L

They have to get rid of the documents after two years, so effectively there isn't really a registry. They got caught holding a few thousand for more the than the two years in an audit and were forced to get rid of them, whether that was done purposefully or due to not having them digitized, I don't know.

As to why I wouldn't want it automated is that there's added risk of a leak, and this is some pretty important information, and it's a lot easier to do sneaky shit like creating a hidden registry like with what happened a few years ago when you start involving something like a locally accessible digital database. Basically, fuck the ATF, automating it wouldn't have "less ATF in the world", it would just let the pencil pushers get out of the office to get in on the action of capping a more dogs.

All that info that goes through the FBI in order to purchase a gun probably also gets sucked up by the NSA and is on some massive hard drive somewhere in a secret basement. If it ever gets discovered the NSA will just say "oops" and 'destroy' the hard drives like they supposedly do with everything else they illegally suck up.

Wait that's a real guy and not Josh Brolin playing another incompetent gov't employee?

Why the fuck is he wearing his gun like that?

DUMPTRUCK

I thought the dude was Josh Brolin too. Also he's got his holster set up for crossdraw so he can larp as a fed operator.

Honestly I think we'll see an NSA style leak where the ATF has a firearms registry in secret similar to the NSA having secret spying programs but all we need is a Snowden type in the ATF to leak it, though everyone in the ATF is anti-gun to shit and unlike cataloging what porn you watch, you're not going to see this moral issue over spying on what guns people buy and own, a bit of a double standard with liberals tbqh where they'll flip shit over them being spied on and cataloged about their tastes in furry porn but openly support doing the same with guns. Faggots.

damn that pesky nra for preventing big gov dicks from being able to quickly and efficiently harass and target firearm owners before any crime has been committed. it'd be much better to have a nice, huge, automated system in the nsa-amazon cloud, right fellow firearm owners?

>I'd rather have machineguns myself
you can have them, but there's a registry and NFA tax stamp process. The alternative to the current laws would have inevitably been 'machineguns' on a registry along with all other guns. You think if the current law against the registry for non-automatics did not exist, and there was a blanket registry for all firearms, you'd somehow have easier access to automatics?

>having less ATF in the world
because large gov bureaucratic agencies are just naturally so efficient like that

Excuse me I should have said I'd rather have non-inflated MG prices due to an ever decreasing supply...

>You think if the current law against the registry for non-automatics did not exist, and there was a blanket registry for all firearms, you'd somehow have easier access to automatics?

Yes.

For once, I am happy a government agency is so horribly inefficient

bump

so how much thermite would it take on those containers in minecraft?

I don't know but if someone burned all that shit it would only free those faggots from the drudgery.

This is about the ATF firearms reference collection which is completely different you faggot.
