oof, that "total invested" brought back a really shitty memory from when I was an auto dealer. Some boomer wanted to sell us his 65 Pontiac LeMans and presented us with a handwritten breakdown of the money he had put into it, about $40,000. This was lower middle class retired dude in rural Missouri, I'm pretty sure that was more money than he had spent on anything in his life. Anyway we could only offer him the Hagerty value of the car plus a few extra thousand for the mods, they weren't tastefully done and had probably actually reduced the value of the vehicle, despite their high cost. He was devastated and flipped out on our salesman, had to be escorted off the lot by security.

One month later he set the car on fire in an insurance scam, was caught, and prosecuted. He died in the county jail during his trial.

We had this yugo SKS sitting in the used rack for $700 and one day this dude, about 30 years old or so, walks in, talks to me, walks up and down the gun counter looking and feeling, spies this way over priced SKS and falls in love.
I worked on commission so I sold him the gun, he never asked for a lower price or anything and bought about $300 worth of ammo, dropped just over $1200 with taxes and shit.
After all was said and done, forms signed and cards swiped, he told me that he was surprised it was still here at such a good price. I just said >"yeah, me too. Some people just don't know a good deal when they see one"
He thanks me, I wish him a good day and he left. He came back and bought a few more guns from me and a friend over the next year or so and he showed me the SKS on his phone. Simple mods like a red dot and detachable mag but kept the original stock and stuff.

I just sold a couple days ago a bubbaed mosin I got in a trade years ago. Never really wanted an Archangel Mosin but they just kinda threw it in so fine. The issue is if you're willing to wait the amount of time it will take before said dumbass ambles along your listing.
