Hello Jow Forums. I am going to a local gun show for the first time this weekend, what should I expect?

people who know what they got and lots of low ballers, also lots of old guys with tables who are displaying guns but not selling them. Also
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapppppppppppppppppppppppp

BBRBRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTT
ZAPPPPPPPPPPZZAAAPPPPPPPPP
also, Guys who paid for a vending table, have their guns laid out and won’t sell any of them

>displaying guns and not selling them
Is this living autism?

>Jerky
>At least half the booths having nothing to do with firearms.
>Defensive handgun instructors of questionable credentials .
>Old as hippy chicks selling "survival books" (new age medicine woo.)
>That boomer that has his collection on display just so he could get a vendor table and scalp the best deals before the show even opened.
>That crusty old guy that sells every gun part except the ones you actually need.

Supposedly it’s just so they can get there early and buy the best guns from other venders

Basically. The show near me had a lady with a guitar that was owned by Elvis Presley, or at least so she said.
Would tell you a whole story on it and herself, but not for sale and no you can't touch it.

>>That crusty old guy that sells every gun part except the ones you actually need.
Fuuuuuuuuck...

>No good deals
>Bad advice everywhere
>Assholes
>Jerky
>Coin salesmen
>Questionable reloads
>Bubba'd shit
>Milsurp in poor condition
>.50 BMG bottle openers
>NO DRY FIRING!

>The one stand with mall ninja knkves and swords
>BZZZZZT
>Occasionally some really really cool shit

That one vendor who wrangles you into a political conversation you didnt ask for and rambles about how Al-gore invented the internet to distribute kiddie porn even though you just wanted to ask him the price on his rack of milsurps.

dead on

Decent price on reloads, you miiiiiiiiight find some ARs at a discount from what you’d find at your LGS, but nowhere close to online prices.

If you see something you like, even if it’s not for sale, ask about it and if youre lucky you’ll snag something nice.

what is zap

Tazers

>at a gun show
why

If you read above, half of the tables are non firearm related, and thats normal

expect the sweet smell of freedom

Ive gone to 4 gun shows with pockets full of cash and never bought anything. All junk, all over priced.

>guy selling mags for ever pistol and handgun imaginable except for your model
>The table of reloading supplies selling every set of dies except the ones you want
I just want a second mag for my cz75bd and 7.65x21 dies

>and that's a good thing!

Overpriced old bubbad shit as far as the eye can see.

I have never seen this except for a nat guard recruiting station that had an m16 for display.

I was 12 years old. Saw a sign that said "smallest center-fire handfun ever". It was some rare oddball caliber. I ask the booth owner about it and he says " do you even know what center-fire mean kid? I say "as opposed to rim-fire?" And give him a look and walk off. Cocky asshole.

Half of all the guns will be nearly identical ARs. The rest of the guns will mostly Glocks, 1911s, and overpriced fudd blasters. You will be surprised at how many of the vendors at this gun show are not actually selling gun-related products.

Boomer faggotry & chinks with balisongs and tasers

>see that guy
>you got any tok mags
>yeah 34.99 each
>you got any cz52 mags
>yeah 39.99 each
>you got any mini-14 mags
>yeah 10rd 35.99 each
>are they ruger
>no

>how much for the press
>retail + 10% mark up

>how much do you want for that rifle
>gunbroker says 500 in very good condition
>800 + tip

This. Tables full of ARs. Glock and 1911 accessories and any milsurp will be way overpriced and beat to shit.

local gun shows are for the most part obsolete since places like gunbroker and armslist can give you the lowest global/national price. There's still old timer fudds that make a living selling at gun shows to other old timer fudds, who haven't really caught up with the times or don't believe/trust in the internet (think: Dale Gribble types).

You're looking at least 50%+ prices what any online market can give you. Gun shows are kind of fun to see what people have to. They're fun for window shopping. And maybe to see if you like the feel of a certain gun before purchasing.
