This will be a sort of extension of /handgun general/. This month's drill is the old, venerable FBI Bullseye Qualifier from 1999-2000.
The information about the drill is in the OP image, and the next post by me will contain a printer friendly version of the B8 target used.
The point of these threads is to foster the growth of our skill of shooting, and to have a pleasant time shooting. Please, please don't try to fake scores. There is no prize, and lying would only hurt the friendly competition, and your growth as a shooter.
As the server admin of the /hg/ discord, I chose to take the reigns. The old guard from DotM are back, and we have people deciding on new shoots for each month.
Charles Ramirez
I mean I know it should end up garnering more attention but you're toxic enough a lot of it will be negative.
>the powah of .45! I shoot 185gr SWCs, which punch very clean holes in standard cardstock NRA targets but rip the shit out of those flimsy paper promo targets.
Jason Jones
Hey man, why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Go shoot the drill and be righteous and hopeful for a change.
>someone just offered to trade a used P30 in .40 straight up for one of my 1895s Yes, trade a ~$700 pistol still in production for an antique worth $8k. Totally fair.
And then he got asspained when I told him no.
Nolan Nelson
The .40 is commonly as low as $450 actually, so fuck him twice
Daniel Gomez
Oh that's hilarious. He's got an $875 tag on it on his table, I should go give him shit about it.
This is proving to be an expensive show. Came here to sell things, ended up spending $3500 and still have 2 days to go.
Kevin Phillips
Holy shit, what'd you get?
Dylan Hill
WITH
Joseph Barnes
Model 92 saddlering carbine in middling condition, an original Lyman 21 receiver sight with platinum inlays for the vernier markings, and an original Winchester branded bullet mould for my .38-56
Owen Powell
Oh, and a commemorative/modern production box of .405win but that was only $50
Nolan Sullivan

Nolan Rodriguez
God damn dude, what do you do?
Robert Jones
NEGATIVE
Isaac Rogers
WAVES
Jackson Lopez
Bumping so I can post score tomorrow
David Cox
Awesome, can't wait to see!
Connor Davis
Nice shooting!
If I get a chance tomorrow I'll get out to the range and see what I can do. A drill I highly recommend is El Presidente or other USPSA classifier variants, which you can find PDFs of on their website. Their classifiers tend to focus heavily on fundamentals of pistol shooting.
Is there somewhere you are archiving these drills and targets / an album somewhere where I can grab all the past ones / follow along? I'm not on here enough or in /hg/ nearly enough to keep up with this, but they are online somewhere else like that, I would keep up with the drills.
cant do better than this. Shot a 74/100 on the 25 yard part today
Hudson Sanders
That's still quite good.
Thomas Rodriguez
You ever thought about getting one of those shorter barrels?
Michael Lewis
Are your sights good? That seems a little too grouped to be a flinch
Brody Nguyen
I have several 10" barrels and one 7" barrel in other calibers, but the 7TCU (which is a .223 derivative) gets used for extreme distance positional silhouette and big game hunting, so I need all the velocity I can get with it.
I just recently picked up a Buntline, maybe I should shoot it for one of these drills. If I miss I can just poke a hole in the target with the barrel.
Ethan Wright
Picked up some 185gr SWC polycoated for reloading, do you have a preferred load to suggest?
Andrew Wright
I'm a poor deprived Ausfag which means a much more limited selection of surp to pick through, and a much higher price tag. I'm looking at a Winchest P14 at a dealer near me, it was sporterised at some point, then put back into another timber stock - the dealer has the original bubba'd stock to go with it.
What's the likelihood that whoever put it back together didn't get the stocking up right, and it won't shoot straight?
Ian Sullivan
I think they may need to be adjusted a hair Are you using a taco stance?
Cooper Watson
You should probably fix those
Andrew Johnson
I load a lower-third load of Titegroup, iirc somewhere around 4.2gr but can't double check that right now. Titegroup is my favorite pistol powder.
Landon Sullivan
>taco stance uhh, what?
Depending on range I shoot either a modified Weaver or have it cradled across my body (not sure what that's called).
