88K/L is probably up your ally, you're on a ship and you get to go to some pretty cool ports from what i've heard

Go infantry bud. Those are POG jobs

>open electronics
Enjoy being an E&E troop faggot

Do I need any references to join the military? I'm kinda a social outcast... don't really know many people who'd vouch for me except for family

About to call my nearest AF recruiter tomorrow. I'm pretty much just looking for a way out, it'd be nice to go to animeland or Korea or something. I don't have a particular job in mind, none of them stand out except dicking around with Structural or something. The air traffic one sounds p nice and like it would transfer back over as a civilian well. If anything just a blank slate like services or some logistics warehouse kinda deal, just something to push on with. It seems that unlike the Army, the AF doesn't really do enlistment bonus', quick ship bonus' or anything, which kind of sucks unless I'm just a retard and can't read their website.

Anyone have tips, words of wisdom, cautionary tales? Would being a blank slate get me in some awful job like Nuke Sub tier or would it be worth if there would be like a guarantee for getting based where I'd like?

You have to put an open, which else should I do?

Pick a job you could see yourself doing outside. Or monies. My sister just went in and did propulsion cause it sounded cool and she has no other skills, but she's all about it.

You don’t, your recruiter is lying to you. I chose open because I didn’t give a fuck what job I got and ended up with SOF/PR IFCS which isn’t that awful after going open electric. Just tell your recruiter what’s jobs you want and only accept the contract for those jobs. Deny any open he gives you unless you just want to join as soon as possible

That's different from everything I've heard. Is that still true now? How recent do you know?

I went through like 4 years ago, it’s could’ve recently changed. If it has then just put it down but don’t accept an open electrics unless you’re wiling to become an aircraft maintainer

Will I catch any shit for not having a license?

Attached: 1503781968066.jpg (1280x718, 113K)

Use your parents friends, that's what an user on here a few threads ago did. It was fine. They know weird people want to join too.

if you take a 10 minute nap on cq how fucked do you get

Hey warrant dude, you were right. I haven't even shipped yet but my mom won't stop bragging to random people that I'm joining. I haven't even told all my friends yet but every random fucker she encounters knows.

>19k
do it then

Shit? No. Some jobs require a driver's license though

My ex that I didn't talk to for months asked me why my mom was at MEPS with me, and she knew because apparently my mom updates her stupid Facebook every day about how proud she is and shit. I'm 25 and don't even use Facebook. I don't even like the prospect of people I don't know having constant updates of what's going on in my life. Fucking boomers man

tell your dumb mother to get off fb

Can anyone sum up the major differences between 2A7X1, 21E, and BR for me? 2A7X1 looks the best for my career prospects but BR looks the most fun.

>BR
I meant MR

There's an endless supply of useful idiots, isn't there?
Go ahead, boys. Go on and fight for your masters who seek to replace you with fags, transexuals, blacks & illegals.

What Marines joba translate to the outside world?

Political Assassin

I'm trying to join the navy, and the recruiters are trying to get me to falsify my anxiety diagnosis, even though this was the reason i was rejected from the Army at MEPS. How long does a rejects records stay in the system before they are deleted. And should I go ahead and falsify my records, or should I just give up?

Can I enlist as an E1/highschool gradand then edit my documents after bootcamp to reflect my college credits?

sure

Ask your recruiter but worst case they deny you again for the same reason. You're not gonna go to jail

why did you tell anyone.

Don't do this

What’re the steps to the path from civilian to Ranger?

What jobs go to nipland? I heard obscure medical jobs have the possibility of going wherever there is a hospital, be it Europe or in Asia

Lie dude.

Always lie.

Good to go. But remember, you can always tell them NO if they dont give you any of those jobs. Also, im pretty sure you dont have to put an open contract down. Otherwise what is the point of the wishlist in the first place.

I told you man. Lmao if youre the guy who wanted to go woft originally but mom told you no, sucks brah. But anyways, good luck in your career. At least you have your parents support.

Are you saying you dont have credits, but are gonna tack them on after you get in?

FYI, they wont auto promote you to whatever rank requires credits AFTER youve already signed the contract. Friend of mine had a 4 year degree, and didnt pay attention to his final draft of the contract during ship day, and he came in as an E3. Couldnt do anything about it.

google it
?

Step one go to recruiter
Step two tell them you want an opt 40
Step three ship out

Its that easy

enlist in the US army select MOS 11b option 40 and pass all the tests complete all the schools.

Don't do it. It's a stupid thing to do and will take time to process and may not happen. They don't have to fucking help you out to get free points after you're in and it's very possible they won't

Same as any other branch. Technical stuff some admin stuff and Intel usually. I can give a detailed answer of what I know in the evening

Finally got a GS7 job for the airforce. Been waiting 5 months for 6 jobs. Been in tentative job offer status for a month for 3. Fuck me, its takes forever to get a job, applied for all of them in feb. I was a 35F in army for 4 years, mostly S2 and clearances. Job is security specialist at some airforce hospital unit doing the same shit i assume. Didnt do an interview or anything. Just randomly got the tentative offer and then the final offer after i filled out everything. Im happy about this one because its nearby and i dont have to fucking move to expensive ass city 5 hours away. Just getting my foot in the door was my goal. Thanks anons who told me how to set up my resume and answer the interview questions.

Deployment question, has anyone ever taken a flesh light on a deployment and was it worth it?

Not me personally, but know people have. Just dont advertise you have one, cause some fucked up guy with no bounderies is gonna use it and youll catch the clap. Happened to this guy in my unit 3 years ago, once everyone found out his nickname was pocket pussy.

Gratz user

Thanks, got it

Im

I'm getting payed 6k for half of this...

I want qt dancing protest iranian gf

I think i remember helping you. Good luck buddy.
>350F

how do fattys survive in boot camp? is it manageable? I really don't wanna get held back, I'm like right at the minimum standards for the Navy, but the run kills me.

Bro I told you, just put your one or two jobs you want and hand it to them.

Why dont you get good before you swore in?

Yeah it's all I'm gonna be working on for the next 30 days, I'm getting clean from marijuana.

Just do couch25k. I guarantee your run will get better in that timeframe. And get on a good diet, losing weight will make you run easier.

Anyone have insights on the asiatic airforce bases? Any of them particularly shit or better?
Misawa, Yokota, Osan, Kadena, and Guam.

All i can say is dont go to guam if you cant handle being stuck on a tiny ass island with nothing to do but outdoors stuff and no guns.

>landlady came over to collect rent
>my dad told her im joining and "thank you for doing this"
dog this shit is so weird im not even in the army yet

Get used to it because it'll happen anytime somebody mentions you're in the service. Just say "thank you for your support" or "you're welcome".

I originally started looking into high speed stuff and i want to be in the navy, i heard about this SWCC thing and it sounds really fucking dope. I love ships and boats and SWCC sounds so cool. I want to do shit like the boat in Apopcalypse Now. Is this information true or is it just like paying attention the the high lights

Ya I signed up for the guard, told my judo instructor and at the end of the day 5 of the people thanked me. I just try to view it as them thanking soldiers in general but I'm just a conduit.

Tyfys your meal is paid for boot because you ate out in your uniform like the sperg you are
Just say a generic positive response and move on. They feel good and you can go about your day

You're mom's proud of you dude. Be fucking happy about that, even if the attention you get isn't wanted.

You're lucky you have a mom that gives a shit.

what are you even talking about dumbass, read the post

I'm actually just saying that's going to happen and to get used to it.

What does this mean?

not gonna get any of those starting, get something related and pray

I dont understand what youre asking but yes SWCC is real.

haha no what i mean is everything i have read seems too good to be true,

Well dude you know theres a huge tough selection right

You mean good schooling and a security clearance! :D

Yes i from what i can tell it is definetely not a walk on team. I am trying to get better at swimming and i play hockey in college, im pretty fit although i can honestly say i am not uber chad

Anyone here have experience with the GI bill and Yellow Ribbon program? I'm interested in attending law school.

maybe contact someone who works at the veterans affairs center for the school

I mean everybody masturbates on deployment, usually you use something more subtle that you can clean though. Fleshlight is just super obvious.

Seeeh, it's whatever. Still really excited about joining, plus I may go to west point this way.

6k Euro (money)

This is most likely a very dumb question but personally is getting infantry hard?

No

How so? like as in what kind kind of scores do you need to get it and if you have a high chance of getting it?

Dont go to kadena. Went to highschool there and it was THE WORST. I knew a dude who got community service for braking a tree branch. They are strict as fuck way kore strict than when I lived on camp Pendleton. The barracks are RIGHT next to kadena highschool so youre gonna have a lot young girls tryna hook up with airmen and vice versa. Also be prepared to find middle schoolers fucking over there and fucking behind the pool by the teen center. Lmao I can't count the number of times we went to go smoke behind the pool and saw two middle schoolers ducking. I knew two middle school girls that one of their dads found out they were banging some airmen and caused a huge fiasco about. Be careful of people like that cause it seemed almkst every airmen was a pedo on that base. Also every summer expect to be in inside on the weekends cause that's the typhoons favorite time to hit. Also be prepared to lose all liberties cause some guy got drunk, got kicked out of a bar, went up the bar owners house, punched his kid and jumped out of their window. Stupid shit like that happened ALL the time. I loved that place as a teen but as an adult Idk kadena might suck

Can you Google

I think for you, just passing the asvab will be hard.

Eastern yurop here, is there career for military logistics and can I go into the military field of it with a background in business logistics?

>recruiter told me on monday that she would text me by friday if my papers went through or not
>4:36pm
w-what time do recruiters typically get off

Not sure if honestly trolling but infantry is usually the base asvab score for the branch... with that being said, there are smart infantrymen out there... they're all there for their reasons.

They stop work at 5pm,so call her.

it's too late. Actually I'm asshurt, my buddy just graduated high school and is already signed in and has a shipping date. I've been trying to join since fucking August and haven't even made it to meps. What the fuck is going on? We had the same recruiter too. Should I just go to meps and start throwing out firm handshakes to the higher ups?

Story? You waiting on waivers or some shit?

army? or what

No idea. I had laser eye surgery in June of last year and had to wait until December to get anywhere, that's fair I guess. Then nothing happens for 2 months except for me filling out that yes/no medical questionnaire (which we're all no's) then nothing happened till that expired and I had to resign it. Then a month or two ago she asked for my entire pharmaceutical and doctor records, which was a pain because my old pediatrician no longer had records from when I was born to 12. Then she asked about some acne medicine and there's been nothing sense. Also my asvab managed to expire so I have to retake it. Pretty ebin

Why are women allowed in combat jobs again?

To any Navy LS here, does it transfer nicely into a civilian job?
Thinking of being an LS in the Navy.

If youre not waiting on waivers, what did they tell you that they were waiting on? Also what branch?

Based OCP
