They pitched the idea to Kennedy way back in the day.

an answer would be wasted on you

Bridge going inside in combat mode.

A very large cylinder

Why would the bridge be right at the front? Shouldn't it be closer to the center, maybe right next to escape shuttles? Would you actually need direct view out of a window? Wouldn't camera feeds from every angle around the ship make more sense?

It also comes down if the spacecrafts are manufactured on Earth, or in low gravity locations, e.g. orbital rings, space elevators, etc.

You wouldn’t have combat being so close that having a window in the front would be any disadvantage.

if we were to have space battleships we'd have a space industry by then, it's kinda mandatory

wtf am I watching

is this from 2010? I've only seen 2001.

>not building your space battleships in the ocean and launching them on a column of nuclear fire even though you have a space industry

the CHAD nuclear blastoff

This guy gets it.

But not just a cylinder. One spinning around its long axis. Painted vantablack and absorbent of all EM wavelengths.

Totally heat black too except for a single exhaust at the rear.

You'll be cooked alive long before getting anywhere

If we ever manage to develope fully working cold fusion drives, there is no need for spin gravity as constant acceleration/deceleration creates enough gravity...

Spbp
Children of a dead earth is the only game that gets it anything close to right.
Space combat is fucking nightmare fuel.

i dont think they're happening OP. space debris is like permanent nuclear fallout. a battle in space would leave a huge region of space permanently off limits because of the debris.
