Help me convince that we europeans need a secound amandment

I had a discussion with a relative today who is completly against having access to ar 15 style weapons. I even tried the jew argument " if the they had military style weapons there would not have been a genocide." Even that did not work on his ass. Please give valid arguments for a second amendment, which would give the broader public access to big guns.

Sorry for my English I am a eurofag.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

The better a weapon is at killing, the better it is at defending.

Humans have a natural, fundamental right to self defense.

1. Point out that most civilian-owned "military-style" weapons are only cosmetically so. An "assault rifle", by definition, has to be capable of fully automatic and semi-automatic fire. AR-15s are only capable of semi-auto (1 trigger pull = 1 shot).
2. Point out that Sweden is preparing for war

Civilian familiarity with weapons is a net plus in case of war and/or invasion. It makes training easier, and in ground war an armed citizenship can cause plenty of problems for an invading army (cf. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland, Iraq)
3. The individual has a right to defend his/her life. They should not be at the mercy of police protection.

In what Euro shithole you can't have ARs?

I LIVE in a Euro shithole and the only problem is that they are fucking expensive. AKs are cheaper. You mean the need for unregulated gun ownership?

That's a hard one: the political structures of European states are built so differently from American structures that you simply can't apply the same reasoning: you will end up as being seen as the "insane madman" and little else.

Focus instead on priorities for Europeans: reasonable permits, free access to military style guns, Carry and self defense laws. Many Euro countries have at least adequate laws in some regards, your point is to use them as good examples (czechia, the Baltics, or for proper western states...umm... Italy?) and fight on.

Tell him what the rifle is, show him a gif of how the gas system operates on wiki, show him the bullet compares to a traditional hunting caliber. Let him know theyre simple rifles people put together in their garage that shoot a small weak bullet once per pull of the trigger and nothing really makes them special.
A lot of antis have no idea how guns work. They think there's bullet accelerators, military velocities, thrusts per squeeze, and shoulder things that go up to dangerously on assault rifles. If they're interested in learning how it operates you'll probably be able to convert them.

This OP. Also, try to get sensible self defense laws.
The law abiding citizen should not have to find out what the intent of a criminal who broke into their home is before addressing them with a gun.

I from austria we only have non full auto weapons. All the ar I have seen are 9 mm and shoot one bullet per fully pulling the trigger.

overthrow your tryant govts and exterminate all the monarchy once and forever
then you shall know the true meanings

Well, you can still buy a fucking sword and attack the guy in the old fashion way.
Bonus point if it's an officier sword from the 18th century, it will be the Bastille all over again!

>all the ARs I have seen are 9mm
from what company? All the ones I've seen are .223

you dont....

if you get gun rights that means more demand which means higher prices for everyone

>only have non full auto weapons
the word you are looking for is semi auto

if 9mm ARs are all you see then maybe you should visit a different gun store

just ask literally anyone from eastern europe

Czechia loves guns, must be something about finally being free of having Russian dick stuffed down their throats for half a century

seriously, people in Europe think the government will never go so wrong? Y'all still have gulags and death camps all over the map, that have seen use within living memory

>Italy
>adequate laws
I fucking wish

>Italy
You can carry a 6cm knife to circumcise yourself and that is it.

>thrusts per squeeze
What

Our history is dotted with conflict, combat, and defense. The development of weaponry is a natural evolution tied to our own. To deny weaponry from a population is unnatural within reason, but I guess that's the rub, what's the definition of denying weaponry within reason. Giving the bird to someone is a reminder of how far people with an agenda will go to deny someone their ability to use modern weaponry in defense.

> ar 15 style weapons
> military style weapons
[Pick one]
>"valid arguments for a second amendment, which would give the broader public access to big guns."
Think about it: Why don't you instead ban the more dangerous concealed carry and civilian ownership of pistols, and allow only shotgun and rifles? Works for home and national defense, and hunting.

We Jow Forums now?

Here's the thing: you don't.

You Europeans have a totally different value system that favors government intrusion into your everyday life. Furthermore, you seem to tend toward authoritarian states to tend to your wants and needs and to provide structure and unity Each time you have a revolution that disseminates power, you always seem to allow it to fall back into a centralized institution and/or person. See Russia. Even Britain, who are the progenitors of America, wrested power from the hereditary aristocracy by castrating the house of Lords, only to allow the House of Commons to become an absolute shithole with power centralized in a Prime Minister that runs nearly unchecked by way of a neo-elite that stifle any real action by Parliament.

Point is, the 2nd amendment at its core is a value statement of individualism. The American ideal is that you are responsible for yourself in any and all ways, including keeping yourself alive, provided for, and free. The government is a necessary evil for the bare minimum of shit we need collective action to get done, like having a military or firefighters. Unity of thought or action is not, and by means of the 2a cannot be firced upon you by said government, you must consent to be governed. We rely primarily upon the private citizen's decency and moral values to avoid crime and avoid devolving into chaos (as opposed to Europeans who rely on the police state). Thus, the 2a forces us to take minority factions seriously when making decisions because we can only really move forward with a non-executive action if the vast majority are OK with it.

This is simply not the way Europeans want to live. Which is fine, but allowing dissidents or potential criminals to arm themselves just gets in the way if you want the government to be responsible keeping you safe or to make laws quickly when there is a majority.

This.
Sic Semper Tyrannis.

you cant. there are very few peaceful ways to relax gun regulation once its implemented.

Most European countries alllow AR-15 style weapons.

Europeans don't need a second ammendment, because there is no European nation you fucking Unionist faggot.

the gig's over in september boys

time to turn your AR15s in

Jean Claude Juncker is gonna come for them

The people can either be trusted or they can't. If they can't be trusted with guns, then they can't be trusted with votes, either. It's illogical to say that they can't be trusted with a gun of their own, but can be trusted to choose who has control over hundreds of thousands of guns.

If they say "But nobody ever died because of the way people voted", laugh in their face until they go away. It's not worth it to argue with anyone that historically ignorant.

Gun laws in many european countries are well adapted to their culture and work just fine for the general populace. It is reasonably easy to aquire a gun with certain restrictions. It's a pitty that many weapons are not available or downgraded but you won't get the "self-defence" argument into any normies mind or even a judge's or politician's. Live with the fact that in a rebellion you will be poorly equipped and consider that at least in shtf situation every gun owner is automatically way more advantaged then in the US.

As disgusting as Croatians, Slovenians, and Bosnians are, they would not have been able to become independent nations without armaments
And likewise the Serbs in those territories would have been slaughtered if they were not armed as well

The weapon itself is of no consequence if you have no heart to use it.
Peasants and pitchforks?

Memes.

Compared to the vast majority of other Euro nations, Italian laws aren't bad.

Mag limits and crazy 80-years old laws taken into consideration. As a starting point for better Euro legislation, they aren't bad.

Sure, one can discuss about carry laws and self-defense, but for euro standards Italy isn't shit-tier.

A rather good point, American. Again, the modern Euro state was forged by the French revolution, and its ideals are rather different from the American ones. We do not share a common political culture, despite being...well, politically dependant on the US.

If you start using the Americans as an example for better gun laws in Europe, you will be considered a madman: beyond what's correct or not, no one is going to support American-style laws (bar a utter minority). What we would need are logical, common-sense laws adapted to the European enviroment, not half-assed retardation thrown on us by Bruxelles from countries where it's illegal to own a butter knife.

Amusing as it may be, many Euro nations trust their governments as providers both of jobs and financial security. That has changed massively after the crash of the 00ies: think of it as a sort of "pact", the people shut up and don't ask for too much political indipendence or anything in exchange for relative economical prosperity. Broke that, and it was broken in the late 00ies, and you have endless European crises. What we are seeing now. The problem in Europe, amusingly enough, it's not only migrants or gun laws: it's the death of a political model of trust in political classes that have ruled europe since WW2, former WarPact countries excluded.

Hang on. What the hell is Czechia?

Point the fact out that terrorist attacks with guns almost always get imported from (((KOSOVO))) regardless of how strong laws are they will always get their hands on them
