Waco was the best thing ever. If the feds hadn't gotten arrogant and shown their whole hand back in the 90s and gotten all that bad publicity, the Waco response would have become standard procedure. Sure, SWAT teams have MRAPs and no-knock raids are a thing, but imagine how bad things could have been if they had gradually eased into it like boiling a frog. Waco was definitely intended as a message, but it wasn't received at all how they had hoped it would be.

It wouldn't make sense for the FBI to doctor the footage in a way that would make them look bad. If the conspiracy theorists had doctored the footage they would have made the flashes more obvious
