Will vacuum sealing ammo or loaded mags cause any issues?

Will vacuum sealing ammo or loaded mags cause any issues?

Make sure you put the retainer/cap on pmags to prevent swelling over time. They're included with gen 3's

Only thing that comes to mind is skin oils on the cartridges
I generally use gloves when loading magazines that I plan to stow away

it could suck the nutrients out of the powder

>Will vacuum sealing ammo or loaded mags cause any issues?
Yeah, it'll be annoying to take with you because of all that plastic, and harder to use vs just slapping in another mag.
I'd rather buy some sealant and seal each individual bullet/primer if I wanted to go full retard making sure my stuff was sealed.

>you'll never be this autistic
feels good

That's absolutely worse

Not that guy, but how is sealed ammo worse in any way? That doesn't make sense.

Sealing each individual bullet is a way bigger pain in the ass since OP was probably referring so storage for when SHTF

Its better to take 5 Mags with 2-3 small dry silica bags sealing it inside a bag without vacuuming it.
Godlevel autist can do it with a 2nd bag with some Water absorbent pads (women or todler ;) and kitchen paper.

Im going just with a sealed bag and the air dryer. But im using max used reloaded brass and sealing it with some polymer glue (Both)

I'd seal a desiccant pack in with it but otherwise I don't see an issue.

The trend of "sous-vide all the things" is getting out of hand.

I like my mags perfectly medium rare, thank you very much

I'd disagree with you, since sous vide makes delicious things, but /jp/ was doing it to onaholes a couple of months back, so you're probably right.

>tfw you've left mags loaded for over 10 years, unsealed, and had no issues when you found them and went 'oh yeah, I should shoot this off'
>tfw a family friend left a Glock on his sailboat that sank in its mooring, resulting in months of saltwater immersion, and the weapon and ammo had no problems because duh use sealed ammo around water
>tfw people sous-vide ammo

>tfw
underrated post/10

>when you try to have nice things but it just comes off as sad.
Just move to a cheaper apartment and unframe your posters dude.

I don't see what's wrong with sealing each individual compliments. If prepfags don't frown collecting spent brass to reload for hoarding, what's wrong with sealing up unspent ammo?

I'm genuinely curious about this now.

>generally use gloves when loading magazines that I plan to stow away
>my skin ph is corrosive....

Shouldn't cause a problem, assuming you dehydrated the magazine and ammo first

Normie AR owner here.

What's the point of that? I've dropped pmags in the dirt, against rocks, etc and they still function just fine so why store them in vacuum sealed bags? Just toss the fuckin thing in your ammo can.

seals in the moisture. Do so when there is 0 humidity or add non-corrosive desiccant.

Not when it comes pre-sealed like golden tiger.

This.

I poorfag it and just use a rag with some hoppes on it to handle them.

>long term storage of loaded mags
This can lead to cracked or deformed feed lips.

Years ago I remember reading some survival fiction. They were recovering a cache of pistols and rifles. They found they were stored in a barrel of oil.

>my shopvac can draw a perfect vacuum
No.

>They found they were stored in a barrel of oil.
>not cosmoline

>thinking a fraction of a % humidity will ruin ammo
