Fuck off. Flatlanders already ruined it, we dont need any more.

This to be desu

>What's it like
Beautiful scenery and great weather ruined by a bunch of rich people moving here to retire and outlawing everything they don't like. Our governor is a spineless twat who has broken every single campaign promise, most egregiously through raising property taxes yet again and passing a gun control bill written by somebody who's been in this state for less time than most of the stuff in my freezer. The democrats running to replace him include a write in candidate who is unironically the best choice, a tranny, a literal retard named Ehlers who unironically said "where else are they going to go" in relation to raising taxes on businesses, and somebody nobody's ever heard of. He faces opposition from a pretty okay libertarian republican guy who's probably not going to win the primary because nothing good ever happens. Our attorney general is busy Ollie Northing everything to do with the EB5 fraud scandal, defending the right for people living out of state to vote in elections, and defending the gun control bill as a "public health issue" in a state with 20x more overdoses than murders. 70% of the state reps aren't from here, our senators include a douchebag New York communist you might have seen in the news a few years ago and the guy who introduced PIPA. The whole state is controlled by Chittenden county, which is one massive college town (college students can vote) and where New Yorkers go to retire after they made all their money out of state. If you live anywhere with other people, you're going to have junkies badgering you for money and breaking into houses because we need to coddle them and give their dealers light sentences.

The one upside is the gun laws used to be great, there's a decent chance that the new ones are going to be overturned, and the police said they're not going to enforce them anyways.

its a simple plan, find the drug users who own land or congregate in certain areas, feed their addictions
Then steal their property through getting law enforcement and Jewish lawyers, realtors, Councillors and judges involved in these peoples lives. Pennies on the dollar and clean out the rest of the druggies account through lawyer fees and court costs!

So when are we finally going to get a Vt meet up. I have 180 acre farm in Lamoille that we could have a meet up at. My email for this will be [email protected]
if anyone is interested.

When?

>The one upside is the gun laws used to be great, there's a decent chance that the new ones are going to be overturned, and the police said they're not going to enforce them anyways.
NY fag here. This is a bullshit compromise that you DO NOT want. You want no laws of any kind, not some shit that Officer Fuckface can decide to enforce on you at random. You should keep all your non-compliant items, and then you live with the uncertainty of not knowing if your local town cop / sheriff or state police will decide to fuck you over it. It's a real pain in the ass.

Also, "not enforcing" is not the same as "permitting". Wave goodbye to all the the things you have in gun shops now that will become non-compliant, like standard capacity mags, standard AR rifles, etc. Yeah, you can still buy 10 round mags and unfuck them to normal capacity, but then you have to worry about the cops again and go through that hassle.

Don't let them do it.

There's no way for them to enforce the mag ban, and mags you "already owned officer" are exempt. There are loopholes for the age limits. The legislation was a PR stunt for libs.

Vermont is very different from No Fun New York. I actually know LEOs here, and I truly believe them when they say this won't be enforced.

Governor is a RINO faggot and they are in the process of gutting gun rights right now.

One of the worst economies with one of the highest cost of living in the entire US so the only people that movie here are rich liberals that have a good nest egg so they can pretend they are farmers when they retire at 50 from some gay overpaid job in CT or NYC like finance, advertising, media consultant, etc. This is calculated as is keeps the countryside pristine and undeveloped unlike NH which is turning into a giant stripmall. So it is what it is. Best land in all of New England, liberal politics keeping it that way. We are in global cooling now so the winters have been getting longer and longer and its still in the 40s in June for the past 3 years (normally 70s). Thats either good or bad depending on your preference. It wouldn't be so bad except VT gets less sunny days than even Seattle or Portland OR so you usually feel like killing yourself from the gloom around March, and then you have another 2 months of winter to go.

I went to college up in Lyndonville (Graduated in 2015). It was like your typical college environment full of far left, "progressive", SJWs. Sure there were a few of your typical "Vermonters", but a lot of them were fudds and/or drug addicts. I'm not surprised that Vermont is beginning to embrace gun control. It was only a matter of time and it's only getting worse. New Hampshire and Maine are literally the last good states, in regards to guns, in all of New England. I now live in NH. If anyone decides to move here, or Maine, you fucking better vote for progun candidates.

lol

here I made one

100% agree with the Depression over St. Johnsbury/Lyndonville. I spent 3 years of my life there.

Great scenery and picturesque towns that are tragically marred by increased poverty and an unwavering invasion by cancerous shitheels from MA and NY. The wannabe-NYC pit that is Burlington controls the entire state and crams our legislature with socialist dipshits that hadn't even set foot in the state prior to the 2010s. Also, hope you like skiing, because otherwise the winters will make you want to fucking kill yourself.

In general VT is a state that's dying, in every sense of the word courtesy of the aging population. It's made all the more depressing because you can see the remnants of a time when it was a great little state with its own industry and culture, now made lame by outsourcing, a heroin epidemic, and out-of-state locusts. I both hate and pity Vermont.

Also Phil Scott can get fucked with a rusty rake, I have rarely seen a politician so utterly inept.

>crams our legislature with socialist dipshits that hadn't even set foot in the state prior to the 2010s

VT has had this since the late 70s man
Thats when it started being populated by dem boomers wanting to get away from the city

> both hate and pity Vermont.

this x100
I never want to be anywhere else when I'm chilling in my backyard in the middle of summer but I just want to be somewhere else when I'm not doing that.

I rode my bike past Charles Bronson's farm the other day, that was cool.

Come to New Hampshire. We just recently tossed out of CC law.
Just not Nashua, it's shit here.

I would still rather live in Nashua than any equivalent area in Vermont or MA. But like he said; NH is great for guns (So is Maine). Just don't fucking vote for gun-grabbing communists if you decide to move here.

The worst part about VT (and NH) is this constant boogeyman complex that somehow it's the outsiders moving in that's ruined the state. The "locals" have been saying that shit for 2 decades. It's obviously not the case, but that's all you'll hear about.

Why do you think that's not the case? Serious question. You don't think that far left liberals moving into these states has nothing to do with the change in the political leanings within these states? I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just trying to understand what you're thinking.

I went to Killington to ski last year, it was pretty cool.

>It's obviously not the case
You're retarded, I've lived here for all of 2.5 years and even I can put two and two together between the shitloads of MA and NY plates in the driveways of nice homes throughout Chittenden and the makeup of the state leg.

spotted the out of stater

^

I've got a friend who has a tinfoil hat theory that some how the rich liberal flatlanders, the police, and drug dealers are all in cahoots with each other to accomplish some massive scale liberal dreamland gentrification of the whole state where dealers work on undermining the actual local population while the police make money *cough*rutland*cough* and the liberals get to make the state their new Connecticut dream land

Sad thing is with each day the more he starts to make sense.

Also anywhere decent to do some 300yd+ shooting in central/ southern vt area?

It's a case of chicken/egg. VT has always been completely liberal but gun laws were god tier because of hunting and farming. Those two things are on the decline, and thus the culture is what's changed. We always knew this would happen, it was just a matter of time. The liberal state is what attracts liberal people. People have been using the boogeyman theory for decades. Same with NH to a degree, they've always been strangely liberal. They've voted D is something like 7 straight presidential elections, 28 years of being liberal and suddenly it's MA's fault.

You really sounds like you've never been anywhere other than Burlington, Bennington, or Shelburne. You should just stop talking, you're making an ass of yourself.

>i-it was always like this guys...
vermontinsights.org/population-born-in-state

Lived all over the state my man, travel as part of my job.

>I've lived all over this state man, it's my job to travel throughout it!
>VT's size ever requiring this
Fucking christ, you think vermont is goddamned texas or california? Retard.

Then why does NH have a Republican Governor, and have Republicans controlling both the State House & Senate? I wouldn't call NH liberal. It's pretty conservative in some ways. The problems is that NH has a lot of people that vote for Libertarians which splits the Republican vote and hands some elections to Democrats. If it wasn't for that, NH would vote for Republican Presidential candidates more often, and our two Senators and Congressmen would probably be Republicans and not the Democrats that we are currently stuck with.

honestly it's the out of state bloomberg money that doomed vt in the latest gun law debacle

Oh look it's the Masshole who moved in with his parents and swears that he's not part of some massive issue grinding the state into dust

This.

Nice try friend. Being scared and crying is no way to go through life.

hi guys

The thing that gets me the most us all the fucking million dollar houses that get built in rural areas that get lived in for like 2 months out of the year by these trust fund hippies that love being "vermonters".then they throw a shit fit when you even bring up raising the non resident tax.

I just want to buy enough acreage to live and shoot on without the 4 million dollar house attached

Explain, in detail, what your job is and how the fuck it requires you to live and travel all around Vermont.

Equipment tech. No I will not say what kind because who cares. I actually travel beyond VT into NH, NY, MA, CT.

>Equipment tech.
Nigger you may as well have said "I work in business jobs."

He goes around and fixes equipment. I don't think it was that hard to understand.

Probably hvac, if I had to guess.

>He goes
I go*

I'm too lazy to screenshot dude, not everyone is as autistic as you. And seriously when has that ever convinced anyone?

>Equipment tech. No I will not say what kind because who cares
>I have a girlfriend actually, but she goes to another school. No I won't say which, it's out of town anyways.
Go back to where you came from

Epping NH here, don’t forget to vote this cycle, I am seeing too many “common sense gun law” candidates for my liking

i like how the state that gave us the Bern is somehow not liberal

Do you really care what kind of equipment

>and the police said they're not going to enforce them anyways.
Based VT police

right because we all know how trustworthy the police are

>and the award for least convincing bullshitting goes to...

The outsiders flooded VT in the 70's, before that it was quite red. I think the last R president VT voted for was Reagan, been D since 92.

>Also anywhere decent to do some 300yd+ shooting in central/ southern vt area?
Outside the statehouse

kys or I key your audi

New York?

>there's a decent chance that the new ones are going to be overturned
nah

Decent gun laws that are going to get fucked to NY levels of shit in the next decade. This is primarily due to the fact that downstate NYC fags invade there for "muh nature" because they are terrified of true north folk and our unending hatred for them and that fucking city. Buy now and don't comply guys, because you'll get fucked just like us in NY did.
