Basically the UK is the 5th biggest economy as of last year but because the purchasing power of the dollar is more in other countries, it pushes it down to the 9th if you use other factors.

The factors being that these growing economies are full of cheap shit and tons of people and the dollar goes further there, ergo they have bigger economies while in terms of pure output and money production, the UK is 5th.
